“He’s a good Daddy, isn’t he?” Jordan nuzzled into my chest.

“Yeah. Yeah he is. I think he’ll be my Sir, though, and only when we’re playing. Not all the time. And you’re a good boy… I don’t know what to call you.”

“Besides kitten? You’ll figure it out,” he said just as David came in, carrying a tray filled with food.

“There’s my boys,” he said, smiling.

“How come I’m the only one who hasn’t gotten to suck a dick or have my dick sucked today?” Jordan sat cross-legged beside me, pretending to pout.

“Be good, naughty boy.” David walked over, and I sat up too. He set the tray on the bed. “Do you guys need more time?”

I didn’t. I looked at Jordan, who shook his head. “No. Will you join us?”

David nodded, and we sat together on the bed—Jordan and me naked, eating bagels and Greek yogurt with the fresh fruit David had cut. We drank orange juice and talked and laughed, and it was…like nothing I’d ever experienced before. I couldn’t make sense of what was going on with the three of us, but I liked it, and that scared me.

When we were done, Jordan got this giddy smile on his face. “Let’s do something fun.”

“We’re not having fun right now?” David countered with a playful lopsided grin. It amazed me how dominant he could be, but also light and carefree. I didn’t know why that shocked me. Maybe because the only real experience I had with someone like David was Aidan, and despite being close, the two of them were very different. Aidan was much more stoic than David.

“That’s not what I meant, and you know it. Let’s… This is your stretch with four days off, right, David?”

He nodded.

“My hours are basically nonexistent right now, which means I should probably look for another job, but I’ll worry about that later.”

“You should focus on school,” David said.

“My bills don’t get magically paid, but that’s beside the point. I don’t want to worry about anything like that right now. I just want…oh! I know! Let’s go away!” Jordan was practically bouncing with excitement. The bed trembled, and I reached out to hold the glasses on the tray so they didn’t spill. “Even just go for a drive for the day or go camping because that’s cheap. I don’t want any of us to have to spend too much money.”

“I have a house in the mountains,” David said, as if that wasn’t a big deal.

“Dude. Are you like, Batman or something?”

He cocked a brow. “That’s David or Sir to you, not dude. And no. I just invest. It’s important to me to ensure I can always take care of my family. Plus, I’m nearly double your age. Don’t forget that. I would look hot in the suit, though…”

Jordan and I both laughed.

“Let’s do it. Please, David. Take us to the mountains!” Not for the first time, I wondered how Jordan did that. How he could simply ask for what he wanted and give himself so easily when it was all such a struggle for me.

“It’ll be fun. We can do whatever we want, with no responsibilities—all three of us. We can enjoy each other. Hell, when are we ever going to have something like this again? Ian wants to go too, don’t you?”

He looked at me all bright-eyed and eager, and damned if he wasn’t right. I never got to ignore my responsibilities and have fun. I never went anywhere, and I never packed away all the worry and left it behind. “I…I work.” Not today, but I did the next day.

“Call in. I’m positive you’ve never done that before,” Jordan replied.

“Okay, kitten, we need to work on your responsibility just a little bit here—”

“Hey, I’m responsible,” Jordan countered.

“Maybe that was the wrong word choice, but we do have to consider what’s best for Ian.”

Disappointment built a wall around the eagerness I’d been trying to let lead me. “You guys can go without me.”

“No!” Jordan squealed just as David said, “Hey.”

David looked at me. “The point is for all of us to enjoy each other. It wouldn’t be the same without you.”

“Exactly,” Jordan added.

I wanted it. The truth was, I really, really wanted it. “I don’t know…”

“Please?” Jordan waggled his eyebrows at me playfully. “I’ll do anything you want…” he sang, then climbed right over and straddled me, legs wrapped around my waist. “Do it for me?”

“I’m not gonna spoil you like David does.”

Jordan rolled his eyes. “Yeah. Okay. Whatever. That’s what you think.”

I swatted his ass, and we both looked a little shocked by it. I hadn’t thought about it, though, just reacted.

I turned toward David, seeking his opinion, hoping he could read it in my gaze. I didn’t want to ask. When he returned my stare with a silent challenge, I knew he understood what I wanted but wasn’t going to give in that easily. “What should I do?” It wasn’t until my arms were wrapped around Jordan, my chin resting on his shoulder, that I realized I’d moved to hold him as I asked what David thought. Touching Jordan, holding him, comforted me. Gave me strength.
