I don't wait for them to answer and step into the hallway. Gripping under his meaty arms, I start to drag him, but he's way too heavy. Thankfully, Dex is built like a beast and takes over. Andy and I each take a leg. Together, the three of us drag our piece of shit father to the couch. We dump him on the sofa. I prop his head up with a pillow and cover him with the blanket that's on the sofa.
He's dead.
I can't believe he's dead.
For the longest time, I stare at him, my body slowly beginning to relax as relief sets in. I won't have to have nightmares of him hurting us ever again.
Dex takes my hand, startling me. I can hear the shower going. Shaking the daze away, I allow him to lead me away from the scene and into the bathroom. Andy is already under the hot spray, soaping up. I step out of my boxers and into the shower with him, wrapping my arms around his body. Dex gets in behind me, pressing his solid body against my back. The three of us cling to each other.
"I love you," I whisper. "Both of you."
Of course they know. They've known since we were in our mother's womb. Together since the beginning of our creation and we'll be together until our death.
No one can ever hurt us again. And we certainly will never allow anyone to tear us apart.
