Alright, guys. We need to chill the fuck out.
But, I couldn’t stop laughing as I watched Zo shake his little butt, hips moving in time with the beat, but there was no competition.
Deja was winning.
I widened my eyes.
Deja’s ass moved like it had its own gravitational pull. Every bounce. Every shake. Perfectly timed to the music.
I couldn’t help but stare.
Good God.
Even I had to admit, if I were going to date a woman, Deja would be my first pick.
That ass was a work of art.
I noticed her outfit. Sleeveless black crop top showing off her flat stomach and the little belly ring that caught the light. Jeans that fit like they were painted on.
Her hair was styled in textured waves that fell past her shoulders with a bang framing her face. She looked absolutely stunning.
Nika was next to her. Tall and slim with a pixie hairstyle that made her look edgy and cute at the same time. Poor Nika was giving it her all, but Deja's ass was in a different league.
Zo had a joint in his hand and was wearing a graphic tee with some anime character on it and loose joggers. He looked relaxed and absolutely happy.
Behind me, I felt the Fangs go completely still.
I glanced back, and to my shock. . .all four of them were staring at Deja's ass.
Satoshi even stopped scratching his neck.
Well. . .if Grandma’s remedy doesn’t heal that allergy, Deja’s twerking surely will.
I chuckled.
Yoichi cleared his throat. “Everyone, focus.”
Kaoru leaned his head to the side to take in a better view of Deja’s ass. “I’m definitely focused.”
Yoichi frowned. “Two of us should guard the door.”
“I’m staying in here.” Kaoru walked off to the wall, leaned against it, and continued to enjoy the show.
Yoichi sighed and started to talk, but to my shock yet again. . .Rin spoke, “You and Satoshi, go outside.”
Yoichi raised his eyebrows.
Satoshi blinked.
And even more surprising, they didn’t even respond to Rin. They simply turned around and headed off.
Hold up. Is Rin sort of like the leader of the Fangs? Was there even a leader?
A few of the other guards headed outside too.
Meanwhile, the music kept booming and they kept twerking even though I knew they saw us enter.
"Come on over here, Nyomi!" Nika shouted over the music. "Get on over here and shake that ass! You got a nice one."
Zo waved her away. "Nyomi can barely twerk. She's no competition. Get her out of here. Just give me the crown."
I rolled my eyes. "I can do a little something."
I tried.
I really did.
I bent my knees and attempted to move my hips in time with the beat.
Nika stopped mid-twerk and stared at me. "Oh God, girl. No. No, girl. We got to help you out. You dance like a white girl."
“Hey, that’s being racist.” Zo frowned. “White girls dance much better than that.”
I protested and twisted my hips. "I’ve got rhythm!"
"What the hell kind of rhythm is that?” Deja started laughing.
“Oh no. I can’t let you go out like this." Nika hurried over to me. "You got to catch the beat first, girl. Then try to twerk with the beat. Look.”
She started clapping. “One. Two. One. Two."
"Get away from me!" I laughed. “I had the beat.”
“Yeah. You had the beat.” Nika shook her head. “It was just for another song that was maybe playing in your mind.”
I sucked my teeth and went over to Deja.
“I told you Nyomi can’t dance.” Zo puffed his joint.
“Well, she can’t dance, but she sure knows how to kidnap people in style.” Deja gave me a hug. “Girl, after this island trip. You can kidnap me anytime.”
“I’m sorry about that by the way. I didn’t know they were going to actually take y’all off like that.” I hugged her back and then glanced over at the Fangs still in the room.
Kaoru was definitely looking at Deja like fuck yeah, I'm going to try and talk to her.
But then I saw Rin. For the first time since I'd met him, Rin did not look bored.
In fact. . .he looked laser-focused. His eyes were locked on Deja's ass, and there was something in his expression I'd never seen before.
Blazing lust.
Wild interest.
Hot hunger.
I widened my eyes. This was the same man who always looked like he'd rather be anywhere else. The same man who carried himself like royalty and never seemed impressed by anything. And now he was staring at Deja like she was the only person in the room.
Deja went over to her phone and cut the music off. "It's about time you showed up, Nyomi."
“I’m not late.” I held my hands out and got in the chair next to a metal rack with strips of hair hanging from it. Extensions in every color imaginable. Black. Brown. Blonde. Red. Burgundy. Even some wild colors like purple and blue.
