“Yeah,” she says, her cries quickly morphing into a laugh. “We got full custody.”
Holy fucking shit.
I yank her back into me, her lips crushed against mine as I kiss her deeply, all our fears over the past few months washing away as we’re each filled with the greatest elation. “Fuck, baby,” I murmur against her lips as she tries to kiss me through her wide smile, tears rolling down her beautiful cheeks.
Harper pulls back, her eyes searching mine as she holds on to me. “I love you so damn much.”
I grin back at her. “Even when I strut around the streets looking like a snack?”
She can’t help but laugh as she throws herself at me again. The happiness radiating out of her is the most stunning sight I’ve ever seen. “Yeah,” she laughs against my lips. “Even then.”
I can’t keep my hands off her, and as our kiss deepens and the need for her begins eating at me, I hear Diesel hurrying to the door with Maddison in his arms. “Oh shit. You are too young to be scared by what your parents are about to do,” he tells her.
“Not me,” Ace says, dropping onto my couch and kicking his feet up on the coffee table. “I’m down to watch.”
Diesel smacks him on the back of the head before dragging him away with one hand, somehow managing not to wake the baby. The moment the door closes behind them, I pull back from Harper, my eyes lingering on hers. “I fucking love you, doll,” I tell her, my whole damn heart belonging in the palm of her hand.
“Just you, me, and Maddison,” she tells me, her eyes sparkling with absolute wonder.
“Yeah, baby. Just you, me, and Maddison.”
And with that, she crashes into me, knocking me off balance and throwing us down until we’re sprawled across the living room floor. Her lips lock onto mine, and as she reaches for her shirt and tears it over her head, I get ready to show her just how truly adored she is.
