Melissa could feel the emotion in that sentence. He cared for her. She loved how he wrapped around her, as if he would protect her from the world.

CHAPTER 7

Melissa undressed Rwahr Rwahr and put on his Santa outfit. Her Daddy had surprised her with a set of holiday outfits for her lion stuffie. There was one that made him an elf and a candy cane as well. Rwahr Rwahr didn’t know which one he liked the best, so Melissa had fun changing him often.

“Ho, Ho, Ho,” she chortled for her stuffie.

“Looking good, Rwahr Rwahr,” Rocky complimented as he returned to the comfy sectional with a fresh bottle.

Reaching eagerly for the beverage, Melissa pressed it into her mouth. “Mmm.”

“Good girl. When this cartoon is over, Daddy’s going to change your bandage.”

Melissa wrinkled her nose as she continued to drink. Putting on the new dressing wasn’t bad, but she hated having the tape taken off. Her arm didn’t like the adhesive.

“None of that, Little girl. Remember we tried new tape last time. Dr. Richards said the paper tape would be better for your skin. He hasn’t led us wrong yet.”

“It’s been three days, Daddy. Do I get to go back to work tomorrow?”

“Let’s see how your arm looks and feels. We have the whole day for your healing to continue.”

“But I’m getting bored, Daddy. I want to go back to work. I don’t think you can keep me from going,” she said, feeling stubborn.

“Don’t pick a fight with me, Little girl, just because you’re bored,” Rocky warned.

“The last time I checked, you weren’t the boss of me. I’m going to work tomorrow, and you can’t stop me,” Melissa stated, feeling proud for standing up for herself.

His reaction was not what she expected. Rocky’s face sagged. He looked so sad, she instantly felt like crying.

“You are right, Melissa. You get to make your own decisions. Have you decided you don’t want to be my Little girl?”

She backpedaled quickly at his blunt question. Rocky never danced around a subject. He met it head on. “I didn’t mean that. I just want to go back to work.”

“I think we need to sit down and discuss what we both need out of this…” He paused and reworded that to, “An age play relationship. If you feel ready to go to work tomorrow, then you should be up to having a serious discussion.”

“Do you think PLAYTIME made a mistake?” Melissa asked, hugging her stuffie to her chest.

“I think PLAYTIME is amazing. We need to decide if we still want the things we told PLAYTIME we wanted. That’s how they matched us. Come sit at the table.”

Slowly, Melissa followed his directions and joined him at the kitchen table. As she watched, he found two large yellow pads of paper and an assortment of pens and markers. Her first thought was to choose a pretty marker so she could color. That hadn’t been one of the activities her Daddy had allowed her to do because she’d have to move her right arm a lot.

Her Daddy.

Melissa’s eyes filled with tears. She didn’t want to mess this up. Why was she so stubborn? One tear slid down her cheek and she dropped her head down toward the paper in front of her to hide her face.

“Melissa, are you crying?” Rocky asked, scooting his chair closer to hers. “Did you hurt your arm?”

Shaking her head, Melissa dashed away her tears with her left palm. “I hurt you. I’m sorry.”

“Sweetheart.”

Rocky picked her up carefully to hold her in his lap. Wrapping his arms around her, he slowly rocked Melissa back and forth. Grabbing the bottom of his shirt, he patted her tears away. “You didn’t hurt me, Lissy. As long as you’re not walking away, we have a chance.”

She shook her head rapidly. Walking away would be like leaving her heart. “I can’t.”

“You can’t walk away? Are you worried about where you’ll live? I can give you money for the required amount at the apartment complex you want to live in. The decision is not whether you want to be my Little girl or go back to those creatures in your old apartment.”

“No. I can’t leave you. I want to be here with you. Not because my apartment sucked, but because I love you,” she blurted, then slapped her hand over her mouth.

Pulling her hand away, Rocky tilted her chin up and kissed her with so much emotion, she felt her heart skip a beat. Melissa clung to his T-shirt, holding on for dear life. When he lifted his head, they were both breathing hard.

“Wow!”

“Wow, indeed. I want you to be very honest with me, Little girl. What are you wanting your Daddy to be or do?”

She pursed her lips as she looked at him. Gathering her bravery, Melissa answered, “I want my Daddy to be only interested in me. I won’t do well if there are any others involved.”
