He pulls the covers back. “Climb under here.”

My heart leaps. Is he going to let me sleep with him? I scramble to obey him, easing into the spot on the bed he just patted.

Daddy drops onto his back once more as he pulls me to his side and covers us both. His huge arm wraps around me, holding me flush against him. He kisses the top of my head. “No more tears, Little pet. You’ll sleep with Daddy from now on.”

I’m so happy that I cry anyway.

He chuckles and wipes away the lines of tears running down my cheeks. “I know this is what you crave, Luna. I want it, too. You belong in my arms at night. However…” He reaches over his side of the bed with one hand, opens a drawer, and holds up a leash.

I’m not surprised when he attaches it to my collar and then to the headboard.

“There. I don’t think I could sleep if you weren’t secured. This is a short leash. You won’t be able to crawl to either edge of the bed. Stay against Daddy’s side.”

Stay against his side? Is he kidding? There is no other place in the universe I want to be, so I snuggle into him.

My adrenaline is pumping so fast it’s hard to slow my breathing and relax. I’m still aroused. Snuggling up to him doesn’t help that matter at all. Every inhale is filled with his scent. His come is inside me, some of it leaking out to coat my pussy lips. I can smell that, too. But more importantly, I can feel it, and it makes me want to squirm. It makes me want him to slide into me again.

I don’t know how I’m going to fall asleep. I force myself to lie very still because I don’t want Daddy to decide to send me back into my kennel. I want this to work. I want to prove to him that I can sleep in his bed and be a good girl.

Daddy strokes the length of my hair against my back over and over. He kisses my temple every few minutes without a word.

After a while, he says, “Deep breaths, Little pet. I’m not going to put you back in there. This is where you belong. I won’t change my mind.”

I think he read my mind. I’m trembling slightly from nerves, but his words calm me. I take some deep breaths.

Daddy keeps stroking my back. I don’t know when he stops because I eventually fall asleep.

NINETEEN

“Do you know where my friend Adryn is, Daddy?” I ask the next morning. I’m fed and dressed in a one-piece footed outfit again. I’m also on a short leash in the middle of the kitchen while Daddy cleans up. We’re heading to his office soon.

He looks at me. “Yes, Little pet. She was purchased by one of my coworkers, Raydn.”

“Do they live far from here?”

He finishes what he’s doing, comes over to me, and unfastens me. After lifting me into his arms, he says, “Why do you ask, Little pet?”

“She’s my friend. I’m worried about her. And I was, uh, wondering if I could visit her.”

“Ah. I see. You’d like to see her.”

“Yes, Daddy. Could I?”

“Mmm. Well, she lives in this building. Her owner works for the government like I do. I suppose it’s possible you could see her someday. I’ll ask Raydn how he feels about that. I’m not sure how his Little pet is adjusting or if he’d be open to that idea.”

“But you’ll ask?” I’m so excited I straighten in his arms.

He frowns at me. “I said I would, Luna,” he reprimands. “Don’t anger Daddy.”

I hug him tight around the neck. “Thank you, Daddy.” I decide to ask more questions while he seems amenable. “Are other women being brought over from the space station?”

“Yes, Little pet. I suspect all of them will be over time. Don’t ask me to find any of them. I’m not going to meddle in everyone’s business. I’m not aware of the exact timeline for bringing over more humans or how many are being brought in each transport. Perhaps eventually there will be a registry or database to keep track of who has purchased each human, but so far that has not happened. I’ll speak to Raydn because I know him, and I know he won’t take offense at my inquiries. But if he says that he doesn’t want his Little pet to meet with you, his word is final. Understood?”

A bit of my excitement diminishes. I hope he doesn’t say no. “Yes, Daddy.”

He heads for the front door and picks up the cuff, snapping it onto his wrist before attaching a short leash between us. He never takes me out of the apartment without it. At this point, I’m glad. It gives me a sense of security just like it does him.
