No. He didn’t need that burden. She would keep it to herself. Maybe it wouldn’t happen often…

Chapter Eighteen

Three weeks later…

It was so loud in the house. In the past, Sienna would have covered her ears or run from the room to hide in a dark corner, but since she’d arrived on the mountain, she’d grown more accustomed to the noise. She’d also learned to trust that every member of her new extended family loved her. She loved them, too.

She and Jayce hadn’t had the month-long honeymoon period that had been a common practice among Alpha Protectors and their new mates. It hadn’t been possible. There had been too much pack business to attend to, and Sienna was front and center every day, fielding questions.

One afternoon of explanation hadn’t been enough. She’d attended several pack meetings with various people in attendance. She’d also met with the bears on two occasions. Not just Surge and Thorn but several others, too.

Today was a day of relaxation, however. Everyone was gathered in the home she shared with Jayce to laugh and play, eat and drink. It was a party.

Surge and Thorn had been invited, and Sienna knew they would arrive any moment. All nine of the women knew. They’d glanced at each other as the realization dawned on all of them at once.

None of the women had said a word to the men about their odd new ability to foresee the near future. They’d whispered about it in small groups any time they were left alone to play together, and they’d unanimously decided it would do no harm to keep the secret and would cause their mates undue stress to share it.

It was a benign white lie. After all, it was a power that only extended out a few minutes at a time. A little foreshadowing of what was to come. Sometimes Sienna would know that her Daddy was about to check her diaper, for example, and that was often when she filled it to avoid sitting in a wet squishy diaper for very long.

When she knew that he was planning something kinky, her pussy would get prematurely wet from the vision. Who was that hurting? It meant he wasn’t often able to carry out surprises, but it made her hornier.

A sneakier thing she sometimes did was cause him to change his mind with the power of suggestion. “Can we have green beans tonight, Daddy?” she might ask when she could visualize him making broccoli.

Harmless.

Right?

The women were all sitting around in a circle in the middle of the living room playing a guessing game where they took turns holding a card up against their forehead and had to figure out what word was on it from the descriptions given by their team members. They kept laughing so hard that they had to stop several times. Even Olivia could play this game. She obviously wouldn’t see her own card, and each time it was someone else’s turn, one of her teammates whispered the word in her ear first so she could join in.

Sienna loved this extended family. She’d never laughed so hard in her life. Her face hurt from smiling so much.

Suddenly Jayce clapped his huge hands together to get everyone’s attention. They all turned his direction.

He had a very serious expression on his face, but Sienna knew him well enough to realize whatever he was going to say wasn’t going to be as serious as he was pretending. She kind of wished she’d had a vision of this particular speech he was about to give, but she didn’t always know everything. Her premonitions occurred sporadically throughout the day.

He looked around at all of them, taking his time.

Sienna noticed the other Alpha Protectors were smirking, some of them covering their mouths to hide their mirth.

Jayce gave a growl that didn’t scare anyone. “We know you naughty Little girls have been up to something.”

Sienna forced herself not to stiffen. She glanced around at the others, forcing her eyes wide to match theirs, pasting on a look of confusion.

Jayce narrowed his eyes and leaned over them, scanning the circle. “You Littles have secrets. It’s like you’ve formed a club. If there were meeting notes, I bet they would be revealing.”

Good thing there were definitely no meeting notes.

“Who’s going to tell us what shenanigans you all are cooking up? Or do we need to take all of you over our laps and spank some bottoms until someone fesses up?”

Sienna hoped her expression wasn’t giving anything away. She didn’t expect they’d be able to keep their secret for much longer, but it was so fun knowing things that she wasn’t looking forward to relinquishing the powerful feeling it gave her.

Luckily Jayce’s interrogation came to a halt with a knock on the door. It would be Surge and Thorn. They had excellent timing.
