Her mouth dropped open. “That’s that?”
“Only know English, baby. Figured you’d understand the words comin’ outta my mouth.”
She circled a hand in the air. “I’m rethinking all of this.”
“Too fuckin’ late. You chose me, pulled me into your web, now you’re stuck with me.”
“My web,” she repeated in a monotone voice.
“You don’t want me?” he challenged.
“I…” Her breath hissed out.
“Yeah, thought so. Thousands of men out there coulda popped your cherry. You chose me.”
“Because I trusted you.”
“Yeah. And I give good dick.”
“I didn’t know that prior.”
“Got references.”
She narrowed her eyes on him. “References? Unlike I do?”
“You need to test out the field with assholes like Dave the Dancer, you do that. Pretty sure I’ll be the winner.” He only said it because he was pretty damn confident she’d never take him up on that.
“Wow,” she mouthed.
He jerked up one shoulder. “Just know, nobody’s gonna compare to your future ol’ man.”
She mmm’d. “We’ll see.”
“Yeah, we sure as fuck will.” He grabbed her arm and spun her until her chest was once again jammed against his. He plucked at the soft fabric clinging to her assets. “That what you wear to bed?” How did her wearing a simple, oversized T-shirt still get him in the dick?
“Did you finally notice I’m only wearing a T-shirt?”
“No, but had more important shit to deal with first.” Now he could concentrate on her smooth, bare legs and her hard nipples making an impression against the worn cotton.
“Would rather you wear nothin’ to bed.”
“I don’t think Bri needs to see me streaking down the hallway to the bathroom or to get a drink from the kitchen.”
“Thinkin’ that’ll be easier at your new place where no one’s gonna give a fuck if you walk around naked.” Holy fuck, did he just suggest she move in with him?
That certainly wasn’t taking shit slow.
When you find her, you’ll fuckin’ know when she’s the one, son. You’re gonna know it here, Hawk had pointed to his head, here, he pointed to his heart, and here. His father then pointed to his gut. Trust your gut first, but if you feel it in all three, you’re done.
Yeah, Rage was done.
“What does that mean?”
“Means maybe it ain’t best that you live here. Got a spare bedroom you can move into.”
Her lips tipped up at the corners. “Am I going to be sleeping in that spare bedroom?”
“Fuck no.” She was going to be naked in his bed every damn night. He might join her there late due to managing the strip club, but she’d definitely wake up next to him. “All right, it’s fuckin’ late. Let’s go home.”
Her brow puckered. “Home?”
Was she not listening? “Yeah, just said I want you with me.”
“Are you sure?”
“Wouldn’t offer if I wasn’t sure.”
With one hand on her hip, she glanced around. “Good thing I never finished unpacking.”
Good thing.
“I never got a chance to sleep in that bed for even one night.”
“Mine’s better.”
“How would you know that?”
“‘Cause I’ll be in it.”
Chapter Twenty-Five
He knew it was making a statement.
He also didn’t give a fuck.
Everyone would find out eventually, so why not get in front of the gossip by making Lyric his backpack on today’s run?
Blowing into the parking lot with Crow’s daughter on the back of his sled minutes before the formation rolled out certainly caught everyone’s attention.
Before the Angels of Fury existed, it might not have, but now that the women had their own club, the members of AFMC never asked to ride along with any of the DAMC members on runs anymore.
They simply organized their own.
Of course, Rage had picked the perfect time to slip into formation. It was at the same time Wheels was giving the signal for everyone to head out.
He also felt eyes on them the whole trip and on every stop.
Especially Crow’s and Jazz’s. And Hawk’s and Kiki’s.
While neither sets of parents said shit during any of the breaks, he knew he’d be approached once they returned to Church. Especially since everyone would be there most of the night drinking, eating, and listening to some damn good music afterward.
Yeah. That would be the best time for Crow to pull Rage aside and speak with him in private. It would catch too much attention during one of their stops, and Crow was all about dealing with shit more quietly and avoiding drama.
Once Rage shut his sled down, he helped his woman dismount and braced himself for whatever was to come.
But no matter what, Lyric was his and nobody was going to tell him differently. If they tried, Rage would have some words with them. Even if it was Crow, someone Rage respected more than anyone in the club, except for his own father.
But it wasn’t Lyric’s father who approached him first. Hell no. It was her mother. Jazz beelined straight over to him the minute Lyric left his side.
