I kiss up her neck, my hands roaming over her breasts as she continues to ride me.

“Yes,” she gasps when I pinch one nipple before bending to suck it into my mouth. “Dagon, yes.”

She rocks into me harder, faster, lifting up to slam home and then rocking some more. The combination is pure carnal pleasure that winds me up until I’m sure I’ll snap.

“Annika,” I growl, my fangs aching, pulsing. I kiss her so I don’t lose my grip and bite her. She’s trembling as she rides me, every beautiful move hitting me with zap of pleasure down my spine. She’s fucking perfect.

I grip her hips, helping propel her against me, her moans and how slick she is telling me everything I need to know about what she likes. I don’t stop kissing her, touching her, crashing against her.

I never want to stop.

She feels like a dream wrapped in sin and I’m helpless against her pull.

She called me enthralling, but I’m the one hooked on her.

I drive upward, meeting her moves with thrusts of my own until our chests are heaving and our bodies are slick with sweat. Until I’m sure there’s no part of her I haven’t touched, teased, worshiped.

“Dagon,” she moans. “I’m…I’m…”

“I’ve got you,” I say, shuddering as her pussy flutters around my hard cock, her pleasure slicking all over me as her orgasm tears through her.

“Fuck,” I groan, spilling inside her as I follow her release with my own. I black out for a few seconds, the pleasure so intense I see stars before snapping back to reality.

One where Annika is folded over me, limp and spent as her head rests on my shoulder.

And we sit there, clinging to a moment that feels like the start of something that has the power to destroy us both.

CHAPTER 10

Annika

Ihaven’t felt this rush in…

I can’t remember the last time I felt this.

This uncontrollable excitement.

This insatiable appetite for another person.

My hunger grows as I head to Dagon’s bedroom, not one drop of shame slowing my steps as I navigate the lavishly decorated halls in Cassandra’s mansion. Last night, we finally crossed the line we’d drawn between us upon arriving here, and now that we have, I want to again. And again. As many times as I can before the fantasy inevitably shatters.

I slow as I reach his door, my heart sinking a fraction. I’m not naïve. I know the fantasy will have to end. Dagon isn’t a relationship person, he’s made that very clear. He views love as a weakness. Not that I’m in love with him. I just like him…a lot.

I like the way he speaks, the way he’s adapted to the modern world, the way he loves his hunter brothers. I like the way his eyes light up when I get something he’s teaching me right. I like the way he tries not to smile when I say something that amuses him. I like the way he touches me, like I’m sacred, and I like the way he doesn’t hold back.

He doesn’t treat me like a princess or a prize to be coveted. Doesn’t treat me like I’ll break at any second. Like the powers that have awoken in me will swallow me whole.

I like him.

I want him.

And that’s all it has to be, right?

I take an assuring breath and reach for the doorknob.

The door flies open, and Dagon hauls me inside with one hand and closes the door behind us with another. His mouth is on mine in an instant, lips searing as he brings our bodies flush.

That quickly, I’m dragging my fingers through his hair, tugging it to get him to kiss me deeper, harder.

Dagon draws back, his pupils blown out so there’s only a tiny ring of blue showing. “We have to get training done today,” he practically growls the words. His chest rises and falls as he holds me tight against him.

The scent of his lust hangs in the air, the smell an intoxicating mixture with his own signature smell. It goes straight to my head, making it spin with delight. I don’t know how I’m lucky enough to be the one that excites him after all these years, but I’m not questioning it.

I stick my lip out in a faux-pout. “Do we really?”

Dagon tries not to smile, but his mouth curves up all the same.

I drag my fingers over his chest, moving them lower as I meet his heated gaze. “There’s time,” I say, my voice lowering to a whisper. “The night’s just getting started.”

“Fuck,” he grumbles, dipping to kiss me again. His powerful hands grip my hips, sending a wave of heat down my spine. “You’re going to get me into so much trouble.”

I laugh. “I think you do enough of that on your own,” I fire back, nipping at his bottom lip. “But I’m up for anything you’ve got.”
