He goes on at my silence. “If you’re not going to share her, you might as well tie her to your bed and put a vibrator up her cunt.”
“I’m fine. I wiped most of it off with the bar napkin.” She runs her hand over her thigh.
Wait a second…
“You knew he drugged you and didn’t say anything?” Haidyn demands, thinking the same as I am, but she doesn’t answer.
The man frowns as if not pleased with the fact that she rubbed it off. He looks her up and down. “Doesn’t matter how much she wiped off; she’ll still feel it. She’ll have extreme mood swings. Depression lows and drug-induced highs. Isn’t she suicidal?” His eyes meet mine. “I’d keep a close eye on her, if I were you.”
I’ve heard enough. Walking over to her, I grab her hand and pull her to her feet. I’m starting to drag her out of the basement when he speaks again.
“She’s the one, isn’t she?”
I get a cold chill up my spine and come to a stop, turning to face him.
“The one what?” Saint asks, but I know what he’s talking about.
“The woman who lures men to their deaths.”
Saint and Alex both laugh like that’s impossible. But Haidyn looks at me skeptically. He’s thinking about it. He saw her work at the cathedral when we picked up that prisoner for Carnage. “What’s he talking about, Kash?” he asks.
Holding in a sigh, I lie. “No clue.”
Maxwell laughs. “Lying to your brothers?” He makes a tsking sound. “They say pussy is the first thing to ruin a family.”
“What the fuck is he talking about, Kashton?” Haidyn snaps. “Is she killing Lords?”
She steps toward him and yells, “I’m right fucking here. Quit talking about me like I’m not.” But I pull her back.
The guy arches a brow as if to say told you so. Her anger has come out of nowhere, the drug amplifying her emotions.
“We’ll discuss this later. She needs to see Devin.” And with that, I yank her through the plastic strip curtains and into the elevator.
EVERETT
I’m so fucking horny. I tried to pretend like I’m not, but my pussy is soaked, my skin is tingling, and my knees want to give out so I can kneel in front of Kashton while he fucks my mouth.
The elevator door closes, and he pulls me into him. His hands cup either side of my face while his worried eyes search my heavy ones.
Rising up on my tiptoes, I press my lips to his.
“Eve.” He pushes me back, frowning.
“Fuck me.” I drop my hands to his belt and undo his buckle, but he catches my wrists, stopping me.
“As much as I want to fuck my wife, I need Devin to look at you first.”
“It’s just sex,” I try and reason with him. We’ve done it a hundred times since he’s come back into my life.
“He drugged you,” he says through gritted teeth.
“I wiped most of it off.” That wasn’t a lie.
I bounce on my toes with need. I’ve never felt anything like this before. Even when I was at Dollhouse. Not that I can remember anyway. I’m desperate. Imagine if I had absorbed all of it or if he had given me the entire bottle.
The elevator comes to a stop, and he pulls me down the hallway and through the double doors to the hospital wing. He takes me to an office where Devin sits behind his desk. He looks up, frowning, and stands. “Kash, everything okay?”
“No,” he growls. “Eve’s been drugged. Some kind of…cream…topical shit. I was wondering what you can do for her.” His hand holds mine in a viselike grip. He’s angry with me, and I want to make it right.
Devin walks over to me and takes my wrist, feeling my pulse, and then steps away. “Take her to exam room one. Get her in a gown, and I’ll be right there.”
“Kash, I promise, I’m okay,” I whine while on the way to the room. “I just want to go to bed.” So you can fuck my brains out.
“After he gives you the all clear.” He kisses my forehead before running his hands up my legs as he slides them under my dress. I raise my hands above my head to let him slip it off me. Then he’s picking me up and setting me on the table before he removes my heels.
I bite back a moan so he doesn’t see how desperate I am, but it feels so good. His tatted hands on my heated skin. Like a lit match to gasoline. I’m on fire for my husband.
He places my arms in the gown’s openings and pulls it closed, tying it off.
The door opens as Devin enters, and Kashton removes his hands and turns to talk to him. I groan in frustration. I tune them out as Kash hands him the eye dropper and rehashes what was said down in the basement.
