The music and laughter spill out, and it looks like the most cheerful place on earth. I guess it’s good that’s the town’s name.
“The whole town is here,” I say when we step inside of the community center. The party is in full swing. “This looks more like a Valentine’s Day party.” There are couples everywhere, and I see the girls from the bakery and the girl from the hardware store.
“Maybe it’s the town.” Marley wraps his arm around my waist, tugging me into his side.
I think he’s right. There’s something about Cheerful.
“Love is in the air,” I say, smiling at him. "And I can't wait to hear all their love stories."
Although none will ever beat ours.
