As he lays me across the cool wood, a shiver runs up my spine. Damien reaches down and rips away my underwear. “Hey,” I protest, “those were brand new.” I just bought several pairs of sexy underthings last week when Hadley and I went to the mall in Houston for a girls’ day.

“I’ll buy you more.” He runs his tongue along the lacy edge of my bra. “As many as you want.” I lose track of the conversation when Damien pulls the silk under my boob and closes his lips over my nipple. He unhooks my bra and drags it from my over-sensitized body while tormenting both of my nipples.

His hardness brushes against the inside of my thigh, leaving a trail of wetness. I gasp his name when he presses his huge cock deep in one thrust.

My prince loses control and pounds away. All too soon, I come. Hard. I feel his cock jerk deep inside me.

“Wow,” I gasp when his head flops onto my chest. We lay there silently for a few moments, letting our heart rates come down, and then Damien drags himself up and lifts me against his chest.

“I think you need a nice long shower with your fiancé before your girls’ night out.” He kisses my neck while carrying me into the bathroom.

I step out of the shower and feel the room tilt. Damien sees my knees buckle and reaches for me. He drags me against his wet chest. “Are you okay, little peach?”

“I’m dizzy,” I manage to mumble. “And I’m going to be sick.” I push out of his tight hold and rush to the toilet. I barely make it in time to lose my lunch and breakfast. Heck, I puke so much, I’m pretty sure I’m throwing up something I ate in high school.

Damien kneels behind me and lightly rubs my back until I finally bring up everything. “I’m going to call a doctor.” He gets a wet rag and places it on my forehead as I lay back against the cool wall, praying for the room to stop spinning.

CHAPTER

ELEVEN

DAMIEN

The bite of fear cuts through my soul as I drive like a bat out of hell to Silver Spoon Falls. When my little peach finally stopped vomiting a few minutes ago, I loaded her into the truck. I dial Cash on the way. “Hello,” he answers. “Are you on your way here for church?”

“No.” I totally forgot about church. “Milly’s sick. Really sick.” I’m sure my brother hears the panic in my voice. “I’m on my way to the hospital with her now.”

“Hands is right here. I’ll explain the situation and have him call the hospital to make sure she sees the best doctor in the emergency room.”

“Thanks.” A thought occurs to me. “Make sure Hadley knows Milly won’t be at the book club tonight.”

“Got it.” Cash hangs up, and I reach over to grasp my woman’s cool hand.

“Thank you,” Milly groans. “I’m so sorry about all this.” She whimpers, “I haven’t felt this bad ever.”

“Don’t worry, little peach. I’ll make sure they take good care of you. We’ll get you feeling better fast.”

I’ll do whatever it takes to make this right.

The nurse sitting at the front desk takes one look at me carrying my limp woman in and points at a room down the hall. “Bring her to room four.” She smiles reassuringly. “Dr. Grimes called and let me know to look for you.”

“Thanks,” I manage to mutter over the fear strangling me.

I lay my little peach on the hospital bed and turn to see a middle-aged female doctor step into the small room. “Hello, Mr. De Angelis. Tate called and asked me to see your fiancé. I’m Dr. Mills.”

“Thank you.” I shake her hand and then walk around to sit next to Milly’s bed. “She just started throwing up and wouldn’t stop,” I explain.

“We’re going to examine her and hook up some monitors.” A nurse comes in and starts putting stickers on my girl. “Why don’t you step outside while we get her into a hospital gown.”

“Hell fucking no,” I refuse. “I’m staying with her.”

“Mr. De…” the doctor starts, but I interrupt her.

“Prince Damien.” I’m not above using my title to get things moving.

“Prince Damien.” The doctor swallows. “We’ll have to work around you if you insist on staying.”

“That’s fine.” I take my girl’s hand while they get started. The efficient staff works fast. Within a few minutes, Milly has an IV and they’re giving her fluids.

“We should have her lab results back within an hour,” Dr. Mills assures me. “Let us know if you need anything else.”

After everyone leaves, I dim the lights and let my little peach get some rest. True to her word, Dr. Mills returns thirty-seven minutes later. “How are you feeling?” she asks Milly.

“Much better.” Milly blows out her breath. My stomach climbs out of my throat hearing her stronger voice.
