“I think I’m gonna head out. I have to work in the morning.” I stood.

Finley did too and hugged me. “I’ll call you from Texas.”

“Okay. Have fun and be safe.”

“Let me know when your next day off is, and we can hang out,” Jordan added from his perch on David’s lap.

“I will.”

“Up for a minute, pet.” David tapped Jordan’s side, and Jordan did as told. “I’ll walk you out, Ian.”

“Why? I don’t need anyone to walk me out.” Did he think I couldn’t find my own piece-of-shit car in the driveway?

“Yes, I know that, smart-ass. You’re lucky it’s not my place to punish you for that attitude.”

Goose bumps spread up my arms. I ignored them. “It’ll never be anyone’s place to punish me for anything.”

He nodded, not arguing with me. I also didn’t argue with him when David waited for me to grab my things and went outside with me.

“Give me your phone,” David said.

“Why?”

He didn’t reply, waiting me out, and I huffed, annoyed, but handed it over.

David’s fingers danced over the screen, and then he gave it back. “I put my phone number in your contacts. I know we usually only see each other when we’re with Aidan and Finley, but don’t hesitate to use it—for any reason, okay?”

I frowned. Why would I need to call him? “Yeah, sure. Okay. Thanks.”

I moved to get into the car, but David’s hand on my shoulder stopped me. “It’s okay to let go, ya know? Of all that stuff in your head—your work and responsibilities, and how you always worry about Finley even though you know Aidan will take care of him. You need to let go once in a while.”

I stumbled, my back hitting the car. My chest was tight, too tight, like a fist was around it, squeezing the breath out of me.

Without another word, David turned and walked away. I stood there, watching him go.

CHAPTER FIVE

Jordan

I was nervous as my ride pulled up in front of David’s house. A few days had passed since the party at Finley’s. David and I had talked on the phone, and he’d gotten my work schedule at the restaurant where I waited tables part-time, before telling me when to be at his place. I figured he must know what I was interested in, and he had to be game, given the way he’d let me sit on his lap at Finley’s. Still, it was scary as fuck to ask for it.

His house was beautiful—two stories with one-story homes on either side—and painted white. The large front porch was halfway closed in with a solid wall that was probably as high as David’s waist.

I went to the door and rang the bell, and David answered a moment later. He was wearing only a pair of jeans and socks. “You’re right on time.” He stood back so I could go in.

“That’s because I’m a good boy.” I winked, testing the words on my tongue, and David chuckled.

“We’ll see about that.” He led me into the house. “Are you thirsty?”

“No, thank you. I’m freaking out a little. I’d rather just talk about what I came to talk about.”

He nodded and changed direction. “Living room, then.” I followed. When David pointed to a gray armchair, I sat on it, and he took the edge cushion on the couch. We stared at each other. David didn’t say anything, and I didn’t either. I shifted, his gaze hot on my skin.

“What?” I asked.

“I’m waiting for you to tell me why you’re here. What you’re looking for.”

Wasn’t it obvious? “I want you to dominate me or whatever.”

His right brow rose. He seemed to do that a lot. “You want me to dominate you or whatever? You’re going to have to give me more than that, kid.”

“I’m twenty-three. I’m not a kid.”

“I’m forty-one.”

“So should I call you old man?” I countered.

“If we play together and you call me old man, you’ll end up with an ass so red, you’ll feel it for a week.”

I shifted again as my dick twitched. Okay, so I definitely liked the sound of that.

“So spanking is a yes, but you wouldn’t enjoy this one.”

“I’d try not to.”

“I’m in trouble with you.” He snickered. “I’d like you to tell me what you’re looking for, some of the things you like. Are we talking about more than a one-time thing?”

“Yeah. I want to explore kink, and I figure we won’t be able to do everything in one shot.” I laughed.

“Ha-ha,” David replied. “I just wanted to confirm. So, the spanking is a plus for both of us, but I’m curious what exactly you want from me and what some of your kinks are—or what you think your kinks might be.”

I was actually prepared for this. I might not have had any real kink experience, but I knew what ideas turned me on. Plus, I’d asked Finley a shit ton of questions and done some research.
