She squirmed in his lap. “Like the day that jerk tried to kiss me.”

“Yep. Or any day that’s stressful. Some Little girls just like to take a pacifier because they like the way the suckling soothes them.”

She stared at him. She couldn’t quite picture sucking on a pacifier or a bottle, but those two elements were much less daunting than wearing a diaper, and he’d said she could try one or both without wearing a diaper.

“Don’t worry about all that right now, kitten,” he said, plucking her lip from between her teeth. She hadn’t realized she’d been biting it. “Right now, I just want to rock you and hear about your day.”

“Okay, Daddy.”

He rocked her slowly as he brushed his fingers through her dark hair. “How many houses did you sell today, kitten?”

“One,” she announced. “I think another couple will put in a bid on a house tomorrow.”

“Awesome. I’m very proud of you,” Wyatt congratulated her.

She grinned. It was nice to get praised for her job. Sometimes, when she was always alone, she would come home after a particularly great sale and have no one to tell or celebrate with.

He held her tight and rubbed her thigh. “What would you like for dinner tonight?”

“Chicken nuggets,” she declared. Her Daddy made the best chicken nuggets ever. He didn’t get them out of the freezer from a box. He made them from scratch.

He chuckled. “We had those two nights ago, kitten.”

She shrugged. “They’re my favorite.”

“Okay, but only because I’m feeling generous. Little girls need a variety. You can’t eat chicken nuggets every night. How about if we also have rice and steamed broccoli tonight?” He lifted a brow.

“How about just chicken nuggets?” she challenged, giggling. “Maybe French fries?” she proposed.

He laughed. “Silly girl. That’s not healthy. I’ll make the chicken nuggets if you agree to eat four broccoli florets and a scoop of rice.”

“Deal.” She squirmed in his lap. “Can I help?”

He shook his head. “Nope. You’ve had a long day. You may color at the table while I cook. I got you a new set of colored pencils today.”

She clapped her hands together. “Do you have a coloring book, too?”

“Yes. And you’re going to love it.” He winked. “After dinner, we’ll come back in here and I’ll read to you before bed. How does that sound?”

“Perfect.”

Wyatt stood and set Lark on her feet. “Let’s find you some socks so your toes don’t get cold.” He led her over to a set of drawers that matched the rest of the furniture and opened the top drawer. Seconds later, he held out a pair of fuzzy socks in the same color as her shirt.

She reached out to touch them. “They’re so soft.”

“I want my Little girl’s tootsies to be warm and cuddled. Sit on the rug for me so I can put them on you.”

She plopped down on her butt and lifted her foot, giggling as he put the socks on her. They were indeed adorable and snuggly. She felt ten times lighter than she had when she came into the house. Being Little definitely had its merits.

After helping her to her feet, Daddy took her hand and led her to the kitchen. “Be careful walking in those, Little girl. They might be slippery.”

He was right. They were slippery. And a wild thought went through her mind. If she were wearing a diaper and fell on her bottom, it wouldn’t hurt. She shook the unbidden thought from her mind and skipped over to the kitchen table.

Daddy pulled out her chair and lifted her onto the seat before heading for a drawer in the kitchen and returning with a brand-new coloring book and pencils.

“Winnie the Pooh!” she squealed in delight.

He laughed. “Thought you might like that.”

She grabbed his hand and brought it to her neck to hold him tighter, but it was even better when he leaned down and kissed her. Not a simple peck but a full, sensual kiss that made her nipples stiffen and her panties wet.

By the time he broke free, she was trembling with need.

He grinned and stroked her cheek. “I love it when my kitten gets all worked up from a kiss.” His voice was deeper.

He was worked up, too. She knew it.

He tapped the coloring book. “You color. I’ll cook.”

She squirmed in her seat, trying to ignore the arousal. “I think my kitchen table fits in here perfectly, don’t you, Daddy?” she asked as she opened the box of colored pencils.

Wyatt had gone to her house and moved her kitchen table to his house two days ago. “I agree. Let me know if there’s any other furniture you want me to move and I’ll borrow Derek’s truck to pick it up.” He glanced at her as he pulled things from the fridge.

“Okay, Daddy.” She chewed on the corner of her lip and concentrated on the picture she was about to color. She was slowly moving her things to his house. It was fun and scary at the same time. Every time they moved another item, she felt more like she belonged in his house instead of hers.
