“We have the rest of our lives to get to know each other. I do know I’ve never felt this way before.”

“Neither have I,” she whispers. I pull out of her and stand up, pulling my boxers and pants back up my legs. I help her up off the floor and find her dress. She adjusts herself, grabbing her torn panties off of the floor. “Well, these are useless now,” she says laughing.

“Pretty much,” I tell her, taking them from her hand and putting them into my pocket. I don’t know why I do it but giving into primal urges is the theme of the day, so why stop now. I give her a quick kiss before grabbing my shirt and pulling it over my head.

What are you going to do with those?” she asks giggling.

“Whatever I want,” I say.

“I wonder why I am starving,” I say as I see the food still on the counter.

“I wonder why,” I repeat, chuckling.

We eat cold pasta and drink wine, talking for hours, when I realize she never actually answered my question.

“I should go,” she says at around midnight. I am putting away the groceries Greg finally brought earlier while she was upstairs with Danielle.

“Go where?” I ask.

“I probably shouldn't be here when Danielle wakes up. She definitely noticed us earlier at my office.”

“I know. She mentioned it when I gave her some more medicine and tucked her in a little while ago.”

“Call me,” she says, making a move to put her shoes back on. I grab her arm and pull her to me.

“Oh no, love. You belong with me. I’ll accept that you aren’t ready to be my wife but you are staying with me. Forever. Can you handle that?”

“Did I say that I wasn’t ready to be your wife?” she asks.

“Not in so many words, but you didn’t answer me,” I tell her.

“Crazy. I don’t know why I wouldn’t have done that.”

“So that’s a yes, then?”

“Yes,” she says and I pull her into my arms. “It’s crazy right?”

“I don’t know, but crazy every once in a while, is just what the doctor ordered.”

“Oh my God, that was so cheesy,” she says laughing.

“I never thought of myself as cheesy before.”

“There’s a first time for everything.” She stands up on her tiptoes in order to give me a kiss and give into that kiss.

When I woke up this morning, I never thought that I’d meet the love of my life in a doctor’s office, but seducing Doctor Mancini was inevitable. From the moment I heard her sleepy voice on the phone I knew there was something about her. Then I met her and it physically hurt to keep my hands to myself. Then she smiled up at me and I knew she was mine forever. Less than twenty-four hours with this woman, my goddess, and everything I thought I knew about love is out the fucking window. She has made me a believer again and I don’t care what anyone says, she’s it for me.

Epilogue

Ann-Marie

Two Months Later

"Are you ready, love?" Tony asks me as I am fastening my necklace. I don’t usually wear such chunky jewelry because let’s face it, kids love to pull on jewelry. I’ve lost quite a few dangling earrings that way. Smiling at myself, I smooth the emeralds, loving how they look against my skin.

"Almost. You?” I ask when he doesn’t say anything. He growls making me turn slightly to look at him when he walks out of the closet, only in his shirt, pants, and shoes. I squeeze my thighs together. He’s so fucking hot, I can’t believe he’s mine now. He moved into my townhouse since his little flat would never have worked for us. His bow tie dangles from his fingers and his mouth is hanging open in shock. He comes up behind me. I can see us in the mirror. He doesn't look happy; he looks like a caged animal.

"What are you wearing?" he asks through clenched teeth.

“Don’t I look pretty?” I ask, quirking an eyebrow at him. I know it shouldn’t matter what a man thinks, but I want him to think I look amazing. It hurts when that’s not the first thing he says.

“That’s beside the point, Annie,” he says. He’s the only person in my life to call me Annie. It was always Ann-Marie or Ann-Marie Theresa. “Now what the hell are you wearing?” He gestures to my dress. I look down at my dress. I think I look great, but I am pretty biased.

"A dress?" I answer but it comes out more like a question. Apparently, that’s the wrong answer though because his eyes narrow into tiny slits. He runs his nose up the column of my neck before gently nipping my pulse point. My eyes focus on the dress because if I don’t, I’m going to come without him really touching me. I’ve been on edge all day. He does this to me. He makes me crazy. It’s no wonder I’m pregnant. I just found out this morning, and I haven’t had a chance to tell him yet, but I plan on telling him later tonight. The dress is gorgeous. It was an impulse buy from Selfridges. It's red, silky, and has a slit up to my hip. I feel like a million bucks and the dinner for Gone, the missing children charity we both supported prior to meeting, is the perfect place to wear it. His hand runs from my thigh up to the top of the slit. He opens his hand wider and now he's touching my panty covered pussy. My head drops back on to his chest.
