“Damn straight it will,” I answer as I flick up the skirt of her pretty little dress. I scowl when I see my handprint. She hasn’t been wearing panties all day. No wonder she was squirming in the truck seat.

“What if something would have happened? Anyone could have gotten a glimpse of you.” I bring my hand down in another stinging smack, watching the way her round globe bounces. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of that sight or of the way it makes me feel so damn horny to know she’ll give her body to me in this way.

For the first few weeks, I was careful in our marriage. I treated her like glass until she called me out on it. She told me that what had happened did scare her but that she wasn’t scared of me or of being intimate together. Since then I’ve learned that my woman likes it rough, a slight sting of pain with her pleasure.

She presses her thighs together and raises her ass, silently begging for more. “I couldn’t stand the idea of anything keeping us apart.”

Her words snap what little control I’m pretending to have. I give those plump cheeks another harsh smack. Then I’m yanking my pants halfway down at the same time I palm her pussy roughly.

She’s already wet and ready for me, knowledge that brings a primal satisfaction. I wonder if she’s been wet all morning as I spread her moisture around.

“Who owns you?” I grit out. I’m barely hanging in there as my heavy cock bobs against her ass. It’s taking every ounce of my concentration not to come right here. It’s a problem with my wife. A simple look from her can have me coming any time any place.

“You do,” she whimpers, thrusting herself into my hand as she chases the release she wants so desperately. The release we both want.

Her words are everything as I thrust into her warm heat, loving the way her body squeezes mine so tightly. Even after everything we’ve been through, it still feels like the first time.

“Need you to come,” I whisper into her ear as I bite down on her earlobe. She loves it when I do that. It drives her crazy.

Suddenly, she’s bucking like a wild woman, grinding her ass against me. It’s one of the hottest things I’ve ever seen her do and the moment she’s clenching around me, I’m coming too.

It’s messy and explosive and hot. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

When she wobbles on her legs, I wrap my arm around her waist and catch her easily. I adjust her dress to cover her before I pick her up.

Then I set her down gently in the trunk as I tuck myself back into my pants. The advantage of owning a ranch is there are an endless supply of places to get it on. We definitely have a few favorites around here. Like that fence post in the south pasture. The one I bent her over last week.

“I love you,” I say as I look down at my wife. Her hair is plastered to her forehead now and her skin is covered in a fine sheen of sweat, hers and mine. I don’t know why I like that so much, but I do. I want her to always smell like me. I want every man in a thousand-mile radius to know she’s taken. It’s why she wears a nine-carat diamond.

“I love you too,” she whispers the words, but something is wrong. There was a moment of hesitation there, like she wanted to tell me something. Well, I won’t have secrets between us. Not now. Not ever. We’ve come through too much together and fought too many battles.

Last week, we heard the news that Von Hagel was killed while in prison, awaiting his trial. Apparently, another prisoner got to him while he was in the shower. The way I see it, that man did the world a public service and should be given a medal.

I grip her chin and tilt her face up so I can stare into that mossy green gaze. “Tell me.”

She swallows, drawing my eye down the long column of her throat to her black onyx necklace that’s resting at the base of it. The smallest frown crosses her face, leaving an adorable crease between her eyebrows. Everything about this woman is adorable. “I’m scared to hurt you.”

Pain slams into my chest. Is she leaving me? Has she decided that she wants someone else? The idea makes me want to roar. I can’t let her go. She’s mine. Now and forever.

“We don’t have secrets from each other,” I remind her. She sees a therapist twice a week and I’m there for every appointment. Sometimes, I sit in the waiting room and sometimes she wants me in the session with her. I support whatever she needs. She’s my wife, and I’ll always have her back.
