"I need that," I admit as he sits up and scoots up both up to the high wooden headboard. My voice sounds desperate to me so I can’t imagine what it sounds like to him.

"I know, duchess," he says, taking his hat off of my head. He looks into my eyes. There's a fire in his that I hope is reflected in my own. When I asked him why he chose gynecology and fertility as his specialty he said he wanted to help people become parents. He finds it heartbreaking when good, decent people want children but can’t have them. I may have cried when he said that. He’s a genius with a good heart. I love him so much. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him.

Two Months Later

Three days later I married my duchess and things have been going great. When I get home from work, I find Sarah in the kitchen pulling bread out of the oven, shaking her delicious ass to Rihanna, who I've recently learned all about. I lean against the door jam, getting hard just watching her.

"Hi babe," she says as soon as she sees me.

"Hey. Whatcha doing?" I ask. She's been cooking every meal since we got married. She won't even entertain the idea of a night out.

"Making dinner," she says. "It'll be up in a few minutes. The hospital called too; they couldn't reach you on your cell."

"What did they say?" I ask, automatically checking my phone.

"They need you tonight. Dr. Shaffer had an emergency."

"Okay," I say thinking I'll need a nap right after dinner before going in. I had a patient go into labor at 4:30 this morning. I've been up since then. "Does that change your plans for the evening?" I ask, reaching into the fridge for a Gatorade.

"Nope, just dinner and dessert," she says wiggling her eyebrows.

"Dessert?" I ask, lighting up. I love sweet stuff, food or her pussy… it doesn't matter which she means.

"Oh yeah, I ordered a special cake red velvet cake from Clementine," she says pointing to the huge cake I somehow missed on the counter. "Take a look."

"It's not a birthday or anything, is it?" Red velvet cake is a weakness of mine. It's my favorite.

"Nope. Just look at it," she says excitedly.

"What did I do to deserve you?" I ask rhetorically.

"Found me," she answers anyway.

Walking over to it. It takes me a minute to realize what it says.

"Made you a daddy," I say, reading the neatly scripted icing on the cake. When I turn around, she's holding a Ziploc bag with a pregnancy test in it. "Have you seen Tessa?" I ask. I switched her over to Dr. Tessa Shaffer, an OB/Gyn we have on staff after we got married.

"Yep," she says holding up a sonogram picture. Our baby is a teeny tiny bean right now, but it's a boy. I can feel it in my gut.

Closing the short distance between us, I take the things from her hands and set them on the counter. I wrap her up in my arms and swing her around.

"We're having a baby?" I ask, still in shock.

"Yes. I am so happy. Are you?"

"Beyond happy, duchess. You have made my life a... life. I am blessed to have you."

"Me too, Bennett. Me too."

"We should celebrate," I say, reaching behind her and turning the stove off.

"How. Food doesn't sound good to me," she says patting her stomach.

"I have a better idea," I say, taking her to our bed.

I love this woman and she's everything I ever wanted and more. She's made me a daddy and that is priceless.

Nine months later, our son, Bennett Vincent Bates Jr. was born.

Fifteen Years Later

So much has happened in the last fifteen years. I have had five children, all boys, and I am about to tell my husband that I am pregnant again. He's been right every single time about the sex of the baby, and I am hoping for a girl but of course I'll be happy with which ever God blesses us with. I got my best friend Clem to make me another cake. It's kind of become my thing. I usually get cakes from Clem's bakery, but I save the red velvet cakes for really big news. I sent the boys ages three to fourteen to grandpops house for the night. I know my man and he gets hard as hell when he's knocked me up. When he gets home, I wait until he's in the kitchen, looking at the cake before walking in wearing a dress shirt of his and nothing else.

"What are you up to, duchess?" He asks, raising that sexy eyebrow at me.

"Telling you I made you a daddy again," I say jumping into his open arms.

"Fuck baby. You know what that does to me," he groans.
