Harder. More. So close.

He threw his head back, his hoarse shout filling the room as the powerful orgasm made him blind. He couldn’t stop coming. Couldn’t stop pumping inside him until he was spent.

The surge of possession when he pulled out and saw the evidence of his release dripping from the man he loved was unexpected. He placed his hand on Hugo’s ass, his thumb spreading the fluid over his skin.

He’d always belonged to Hugo. Now Hugo belonged to him.

Mine.

The soft laugh had him looking up and meeting Hugo’s gaze. “I think it’s safe to say we both liked that.”

Like didn’t cover it. Solomon got up and strode quickly to the bathroom, coming back with a damp cloth. Hugo hadn’t moved, his body collapsed on the bed in total satiated exhaustion.

He couldn’t stop the pride that swelled inside him and made his dick twitch with renewed interest.

He swept the cool cloth over Hugo’s sweat-covered back and thighs, finally slipping it between his cheeks tenderly. “I have a few rules for round three.”

Hugo stiffened momentarily and then he nodded. “I’m ready. Let’s hear them.”

“We’ll talk before making decisions about our relationship from now on.”

“Sounds fair.”

“Rory’s sister-in-law left me a message that Weasley and Hermione—her dogs—had a new litter of puppies. We’re getting one. And, in keeping with your family tradition, we’re naming it Rowling.”

“Sticking with the Harry Potter theme. That sounds acceptable.”

There was a trace of expectation in Hugo’s voice. Hope. “So, we’re getting a dog together? I’ve never had one before.”

“Neither have I. I’ve never lived with anyone before either.”

Hugo pushed himself up on his elbows and rolled to his side, staring. “Is that another rule? We live together?”

Solomon reached for Hugo’s hand, needing to touch him. “Only if you plan on making an honest man of me as soon as possible.”

“Chief Finn, are you proposing?” His dimples deepened. “Right now? With no clothes on? After we just had earth-shattering sex?”

Solomon’s cheeks heated. “I’ll be working hard to fix the damage that was done to the department, and you have your roommate situation to think about, but—”

“You never used to talk this much.”

His smile was self-deprecating. “I’ve been told.”

Hugo reached up to push his hair back, cupping his face in his warm, healing hands. “Yes. To the dog, the house and the proposal. All of it. We’ve been circling each other for too many years, and I’m not taking a chance on losing you again. I want legal documents and notaries and binding vows as soon as possible.” He smiled at Solomon’s surprise. “But first things first. Food. Probably more sex. Then U-Haul shopping.”

Solomon got to his feet, dragging Hugo to a sitting position. “I’ll need to talk to your father first.”

“Cute.” He wove as he got to his feet, wrapping his arms around Solomon’s neck. “Wow, I’ll be feeling that for a while, big boy.”

Hugo winked. “You know it’s Cassandra Wayne’s approval that matters. And if you didn’t have it, she wouldn’t have gotten on board with my plan or started compiling info on every member of the Finn family. Which we both know she’s doing as we speak.”

A deep laugh of pure joy escaped his chest. “The Not-Wayne list?”

“Maybe we could get her to put you in your own category, since our families will be merging soon.” He made a face, holding Solomon tighter. “They already are and they don’t even know it.”

He was thinking about Bronte and William. “Don’t worry about that. We’ve got it under control. I’ll tell you all about it later, after food and probably more sex.”

“Why do I get the feeling I’m not going to like it?”

“How do you feel about bacon?”

Hugo stopped and Solomon looked back to see him staring at his ass. “What?”

“I’m thinking.”

He rolled his eyes. “A cop joke? Already?”

“I couldn’t resist. And I love bacon.”

“You better.”

“I do. For the rest of our lives.”

Epilogue

Two weeks later…

Hugo was close. “That’s right, baby. Push back against me. Take all of it.”

Solomon was bent over his old twin bed, jeans gathered around his knees, fist in his mouth to mute his shouts of pleasure as he fulfilled another one of Hugo’s fantasies.

He hadn’t planned this. They’d been packing after lunch with the family, taking things he’d left with his parents even after he’d moved in with his brother. He’d looked over at the man smiling with his mother and known he had to have him again.

And it had to be here.

Hugo’s hand tightened on his shoulder, the other tangling in his silky hair. The wet slap of flesh was so loud he was sure they could hear it in the living room, and he didn’t fucking care.

“I can’t resist your ass, baby. Especially when I know how much you love the thought of getting caught. Don’t you, Chief? Love the idea of someone walking through that door and seeing you bent over and begging for what I can give you.”
