Yet, as soon as I logged on, I just kind of stared at the screen for a while. Nothing captured my attention for more than a few minutes, and eventually, I just had to close the laptop and put it away. It just wasn’t happening. I had too much on my mind and was too excited by what the evening could possibly hold.

As the sun went down, I went to the bedroom to get ready. I had already changed the pillows and sheets and made it my own, but it was still a little weird. All my aunt’s clothes had been boxed up in totes and were stacked along one wall, and some of my clothes were now in the heavy wooden dressers that I had no intention of getting rid of. Not only were they pretty and that was probably enough on its own, but they also were heavy as hell. I certainly wasn’t getting them up and into the dumpster.

It helped that I didn’t really have much furniture to bring into the trailer. Most of what I’d brought were clothes and assorted other everyday living stuff, with only a couple of bookshelves and lamps. Everything else was still at my apartment, and eventually I would have to make the decision as to if I was staying or not.

But that was a problem for later.

Now, I was entirely too preoccupied with what she was going to wear to her date.

I was more excited than I had been for a long time, and even though my options were limited, I was fretting over them. I had about eight different tops, and I tried each one of them on at least twice, including matching them with the various jeans, skirts, and leggings I had. It was more than enough to choose from, and yet all I could think about were the clothes I’d left at the apartment. All those cute dresses, all those wonderful tops with the plunging neckline to show off the girls, all of them were locked in a closet, hours away.

At least I had my good bra.

I stripped down and took a quick bird bath, freshening myself up without getting my hair wet, then climbed out to make a final decision as to what I was going to wear. Once I made my decision, I took everything else and put it away.

Stepping in front of the vanity mirror, I turned from side to side, taking in how I looked. My ass looked okay. The girls were fairly hidden, but thankfully I had been blessed with enough of them that any shirt tight enough around the chest still looked like it was intentionally showing that part off.

I sat in the living room, on the edge of the couch with the TV on, but I wasn’t paying attention to it. I was watching the window, waiting to see lights come down the drive. When I did see them, I hopped up and checked the mirror one last time. I hadn’t felt this giddy in years. Maybe I was just enjoying the distance from my normal life. Maybe I was embracing new things because I was physically in a new place. Whatever it was, it was a huge difference from what I was normally like.

And I loved it.

I opened the door to meet him as he stepped out of his truck. I had to stop in my tracks with the door still open behind me.

He was breathtakingly sexy in jeans and a flannel shirt, the sleeves rolled up messily and shoved above his elbows. It was a bit slapdash in a way, and yet, there was a coolness to the casualness of the way he looked. He looked remarkably similar to how I had met him, actually, and it sent a powerful message. He wasn’t looking to impress me with anything fancy. He was confident in just being him.

And holy shit was that sexy.

“Evening,” he said as he made it to my door. He grinned, and I felt like my knees might buckle under me. “You look really pretty.”

I blushed. Hard.

“You don’t look bad yourself.”

“Thanks,” he said.

No excuses for dressing down. No explanation of where we were going and how it made more sense to be in jeans. Just a simple thanks. Because he knew he was sexy. Somewhere in that sweet-talking head of his, he knew he was ridiculously sexy.

“You ready?” he asked.

I was. In more ways than one. I was ready for anything.

JASON

Beth Ann looked amazing. Even better than the day before, somehow, which I was pretty positive up to that moment was impossible. Yet there she was in a tight pink T-shirt that stopped just above her belly button and low-rise jeans that clung tight to her long legs and fantastic ass. Her hair was down, curly and full, blonde with dark roots, and looking every bit of an eighties rocker chick possible.
