Hell, every time I’ve touched her, she was wet for me. Now all I need is for her to be open about that. I shouldn’t want to hurt her, not when I need her to trust me. That fact never changed. Out of all the things in this world, trust is important to me, right next to loyalty.

I stare at her through the peephole, her body slumped and arms bound. She’s just there, the weight of her body straining against the bounds around her wrist. It doesn’t skip past me that she hasn’t called out. Not to me, not for help.

My chest tightens, and regret seeps into my bones. I try to push it away, telling myself that she tested me and paid the consequence. Maybe now she’ll think twice before disobeying me. But I can’t help feeling that just maybe this was too far. With my thoughts clouded, my nerves on edge, I snapped. There’s too much at stake, too much going on in this world that she isn’t privy to. So dealing with her bratty behavior triggered me.

“Shit, topolina,” I mutter to myself and push the door open.

Immediately, the air feels different, and I know it’s from the painful silence that fills the room. Siân doesn’t budge, almost as if she knows it’s me. Her head to her chest, her breathing out of control, and my cum dripping from her body. She’s broken and has me to thank for that. I attempt to force a smile, but it falters. As much as I enjoy the pain of others, of hers, I don’t this time, and it’s truly fucking with me.

Her eyes stay pointed at the ground, and she doesn’t even pretend to acknowledge me. So fragile and perfect, and she doesn't even know. She doesn’t get me and thinks this is all some sick game for me, but she’s wrong.

Everything I’ve done has been for her. She’s spent too long on the run, and now is the time for her to accept who she was meant to be. Who she should have been had things not gone south with her father.

The memory of the ordeal flashes in my mind, and I realize just how much she doesn’t know. But I need to break her so I can build her back up. If she were to learn the truth of it all now, she wouldn’t be able to handle it. There are too many lies and secrets. She thinks I was a wolf in sheep's clothing, but the reality of it all is that nothing that’s happened to her is what it seems.

I recognize the part I play in that, but she’s alive today because of me—because of this moment right here. As twisted as it may be, everything that happened was for this, for me to finally have her as she was promised to me. Only I’m not sure how she would be able to deal with the circumstances of the deal.

And before it all comes to light, I need to cement what we have by building her trust to ensure nothing will get between us. I was different for her once. Maybe I can give her that again. Maybe the mask I wore in Florida, the Christian she loved, is still around, and if I can give her that, it’ll make the transition smoother.

When she learns that I was the person who killed her father, everything will change, but I’m hoping she won’t want to leave by then. I won’t be able to protect her this time if she does.

Sucking in a breath, I step closer to her and lift her head so that she can see me. Siân doesn’t, though. Instead, she points her eyes to the left while turning her neck to free herself from me. My gaze skated over her body, taking in the bruises I left behind on her inner thighs.

I rub her softly, tracing my thumb over the marks, and like the sadistic person I am, my dick twitches. But quickly, I pull myself together and, at the same time, take in the trail of my cum dripping down her leg. No longer wanting to see her this way, I reach for the belt and unbind her wrist.

She falls, and I catch her, holding her to my chest for comfort. I expect her to speak, to tell me to get my filthy hands off her, but she doesn’t. When I scoop her into my arms, she wraps her arms around my neck, allowing me to carry her past the threshold of the cell, up the stairs, and to the room I’ve been keeping her in.

Once we make it inside, I head for the bathroom and gently set her on the toilet. Siân remains silent as I turn on the water in the tub, and she doesn’t fight me when I guide her over to the bath. She steps inside, immersing herself under the water.
