The jitters and spine-tingling instantly made sense. My body wasn’t trying to warn me of danger, it was preparing me for something incredible; finding my mate. The sight of this man - my man - had my instincts in overdrive, telling me to take, claim, and protect.

I looked at Enzo to tell him about my good fortune, and found him wearing a dreamy smile as he too gazed at the gorgeous man. He slowly turned that smile to me before whispering, “He’s ours.”

My fists clenched. My knee-jerk reaction was to attack; to call him a liar or make him eat his words, to slap the smile off of his face, or to shove him down before grabbing my mate and running away. But before I lost my shit, I paused and took a breath.

I always knew this was a possibility; a probability, even. My brother and I weren’t strangers to sharing a man. Hell, we preferred it that way. It started decades ago, when we were at a club together. We had similar taste in men, and that night, we were both attracted to the same cute wolf shifter across the room.

We also weren’t strangers to competition or arguments, so we decided to make it a contest for the man’s attention. But, we were shocked when he was interested in being physical with both of us. We went with it, and it unlocked something within both of us that could never be stifled again.

Sharing the man with my brother was filthy and passionate; a battle of dominance and performance. One-upping each other brought out our best, and gave the best experience for the other shifter as well. And I’ll be honest, watching my brother give it to the guy was sexy as hell; we were identical, so I basically got to see myself in action.

But it was more than the heat that made the moment great; it was the care too. I got to witness a side of my brother that he kept hidden from most of the world; the gentle, attentive side. I was touched by the aftercare he gave, and the way he responded to the other man’s needs. It was beautiful.

The whole process brought the two of us closer and led to many conversations between us about what we truly wanted. It opened our eyes to the caregiving that we both craved, and raised our interest in age play. We wanted to be in control of our man’s pleasure while taking care of all of his needs. And we wanted to do it together.

While it brought the two of us closer together, it caused a fallout with our original pride. We were caught in a physical act with another shifter, and it was seen as a filthy abomination to our kind, and we were exiled.

But Enzo and I never regretted it. We knew who we were, and that there was nothing wrong with our special interests. Granted, we hadn’t gotten to explore the age play side of things as much as we would have liked; since it was such an intimate connection, it was difficult to find a willing participant who also had no desire for attachment. Play time was one thing, but we would never have a relationship with anyone but our mate.

And here he was, waiting to make our dreams come true. Nothing in the past mattered. No other man in the club or anywhere would ever catch my or my brother’s eye; our mate had our full desire and attention. Our purpose was to protect him, fulfill his needs, and bring him pleasure. We had an eternity of playtime and love ahead of us, but we had to take the first step.

I returned Enzo’s smile and told him, “Then let’s go get him.”

He nodded enthusiastically and we split up as we approached our mate, each of us standing on either side of him. He didn’t appear to notice us getting closer. His attention was on the packaged, mint-green pacifier he held in his hands. He stared down at it like it was priceless treasure. His crystal blue eyes were fixated upon it, and his lips quivered, as if he were imagining how the rubber would feel between them.

Imagining the precious sight of him sucking on the pacifier made my heart flutter. It may not be able to handle the sweetness of the real thing, but it was a risk I was more than willing to take. I swallowed the drool that formed in my mouth from watching him before asking gently, “Whatcha got there?”

My mate let out an adorable squeak as he jumped. He turned to face me, his doe eyes rounding even more in surprise, before tucking his hands behind his back and answering, “Nothing.”

“Oh, it’s definitely something,” Enzo insisted, plucking the package out of our mate’s hand. The man whipped his head around to face my brother, and then did a double take between us. “Is this for you?” I smiled at the hope and excitement in Enzo’s voice.
