She kissed him.

Rosalie knew she had to do something, because she was losing focus on reality. She was giving herself a chance to dream big, and in her experience, to give into those kind of dreams would be a disaster. She couldn’t do it. She couldn’t allow herself to fall so hard.

Colt broke the kiss, trailing his lips toward her ear, nibbling on her neck. Every time he did this, she couldn’t help but lose control. It was like he touched a zone on her body that had never been touched and it made her ache and desperate for more. She didn’t want him to stop.

“Come for me, Rosalie. Touch your pussy, let me feel you come all over my dick.”

She groaned. She loved it when he talked this way to her. Sliding her hand between them, she found her clit and started to stroke herself. The first touch and his cock seemed to kick inside her, and they both groaned.

“That’s it, baby, touch your little clit, make it all soaking wet so I can fuck you.” He moved them through the water, pressing her up against the side of the pool.

Rosalie didn’t expect to be so close, but there was something about Colt that drove her wild. She came screaming his name. Colt held onto her hips and began to fuck her, pounding inside her, driving in hard and deep.

“You feel so fucking good,” he said and groaned.

She held on, watched him, and felt that little spark of hope that she kept trying to keep down in her soul, never to see the light of day.

Falling for Colt would be a big mistake.

As she watched him come, she hated the fact that she hadn’t been able to stop the spark from smoldering.

Colt stared through the binoculars at the Evil Fuckers MC compound.

“Did you have a good honeymoon?” Ox asked.

“It was good.”

Rosalie was back at work. Since arriving back home on Saturday, they had gotten settled into his home, and that peace had lasted for about an hour. Petal arrived, and then he had no choice but to entertain her friend.

Petal hadn’t left until Sunday night. She’d stayed overnight on Saturday, then spent Sunday breakfast and lunch with them before returning home.

They had gone to his mother’s for dinner, where Gabrielle had also been staying with his parents. He had a feeling his father wasn’t too happy with that, but according to their prospects, Daemon had visited Gabrielle’s house on Saturday and had left looking pissed off. Colt had a feeling there would be retaliation soon. Daemon was clever, though. He played everything safe.

Warden had given him the update on what they had found—weapons, guns, and even explosives. The club had a number of theories on what that could mean, but Colt knew. Daemon was going to attempt to take out their club and was waiting for the right opportunity. Which was why Colt volunteered to keep an eye on the clubhouse. Ox had come with him today, but Warden said they all had to take turns. If they got too comfortable watching, they’d slip up. Colt wasn’t going to fuck up. This was too important.

“So, are we still hating Rosalie or what?” Ox asked.

“She’s my wife, Ox. For now, you’ve got to treat her with the respect she deserves.”

“Right now?”

“What do you think they’re doing?” Colt asked, looking at the main clubhouse.

Ox sighed. “You do know that this won’t do you any good. Pretending you don’t care about Rosalie.”

“I don’t care about her. She’s a means to an end. Daemon wants to use her, and so can we.”

Ox let out a low whistle. “Dude, that is cold.”

“It’s business. Our marriage was nothing else.”

“Ah, but you see, for women, there’s always something different at stake. They have their feelings to take care of. You don’t look like a man who has been tortured on his honeymoon. You look like a man who had a great time.”

“It wasn’t bad.”

“And it wasn’t good?”

Colt wasn’t going to admit to Ox that his honeymoon was fucking fantastic and for the first time in his life, he didn’t want to come home. He didn’t want to have to remember the club shit. All he’d wanted to do was stay in that moment with his wife. And that shit fucking scared him. Rosalie was not his wife. Well, she was, but it was complicated. He wasn’t going to have feelings for her. They were not allowed. If they had kids, then he’d deal with it, but until then, he still saw this union coming to an end, as soon as they were able.

“They’re all standing around,” Ox said. “It sounds like any normal day.”

“Yeah, only for the past week, according to the other guys who were watching them, reported no end of activity.”

“So they were busy and now they’re not.”
