At last year’s auction, she’d made one hundred and fifteen million rupa. It was enough for her and her crew to buy supplies for Shukra people in the rebellion, while also shoring up her savings. This time, she was hoping for more. She wanted enough for her own port town where she felt safe. Where her crew, and other exiled Shukra, felt safe. She’d found another nexus point hidden in a corner of the Rahu region, and it could be hers.

Just a few hundred million more rupa to go.

There was a knock on her alcove door, and the server assigned to Shila appeared a moment later and locked the entrance behind them. They didn’t say a word as Shila returned her knife to its holster at her ankle.

The being was stunning, with a narrow, teardrop face and a shiny silver bald head. Their ribbon-like tail whipped back and forth in a lazy arc. They had the markers of originating from the Bhu Galaxy.

“My lady.” The being approached Shila with a large saucer filled with bottles that held various neon-hued liquids. The tight leather of their bodysuit shifted with a soft hush as they presented the saucer. “Remel has poured your drink themself for your safety. They also wanted to give you a message.” The server handed her a piece of parchment sealed with melted wax.

“Thank you,” Shila said. She motioned to the small black onyx table next to the couch. “Leave it there.” Then, with one quick flick of the same knife she’d used moments before, she cut the seal to read the bold letters scrawled across the parchment.

You’re a pain in my ass.

Shila grinned. “Love you, too, Remel,” she mused. She was pretty sure she wouldn’t have time to see them on this visit, but she’d have to stop by their fortress soon.

“My lady?” the being said, their hands folded in front of them. Their eyes were in the shape of round orbs as they stared down at her. “I am here to service you as well. In any way you’d like.”

Shila practically rolled her eyes. She waved the server away to the side so she could watch the auction. The lights had dimmed, and creatures in the viewing seats were chanting for the show to begin.

It wasn’t the first time she’d received an offer like this. She was an exiled princess who’d taken a vow to never mate with a seeder. Even though her oath was limited to those who had the capacity to impregnate her, once word got out, the attempts to seduce her had gotten bolder with each individual who wanted her. She was easy to recognize with her height, her breasts, and the gold ring around her iris. That was why she preferred isolation.

She’d never been tempted to break her oath and preferred to seek pleasure with beings who were other breeders or who she’d never have a child with. There was too much at stake for her to introduce a child into this world.

A child she’d love but never want.

“I have taken a vow—”

“—of celibacy from mating with seeders, yes I know,” the being said. “But I am not a seeder. Remel wanted to send a gift to you. I volunteered to be your gift. I assure you that anatomically, we are quite compatible.”

“Remel wouldn’t—”

At that same moment, her time device blinked with an incoming coded message.

R:

You need to loosen up. Ray-ten has the highest security clearance. An alternate dimension being. They are omni.

“Well then,” Shila murmured. Her doubt transformed into curiosity. Even though the majority of humanoids were breeders or seeders, there were thousands of sexes in alternate galaxies and dimensions. An omni was one of them. Shila would be safe from complications if they were to share pleasure.

More importantly, she could trust the information if it came from Remel. They were like her sibling.

She picked up one of the bottles on the tray and twisted off the topper before tossing it aside. With one long look at the server, she swirled the blue-hued liquid and took a long sip. There was a warm burning sensation that heated her blood.

“If you still have doubts, you may inspect me if you’d like.” The being reached to their side and made quick work of undoing the zipper that held together the leather bodysuit. Within seconds they were naked. Although they appeared relatively humanoid, with breasts and familiar extremities, there were subtle differences—from the eyes to the tail. Their skin glinted in the dim lighting, a shimmery silver and titanium color. A nub protruded through their thick folds at the top of their mound. From her place on the couch, Shila could see that it vibrated in a rotating motion.

A personal, live device native to the Bhu quadrant. Perfect.

Shila could feel her own pleasure center grow hot and wet with interest. Damn, Remel. She’d owe them for this.
