I looked up and glared at them. “I think that you three should go to another part of the castle. I am trying to read my book.”

Unfortunately, they had begun making out again. Their clothes were already slowly slipping away from them.

“Oh, Ian.” Symphony began kissing his neck. “Perhaps, I am not your brother’s type. I don’t have words covering me.”

All three laughed.

“But, I’m glad I am your type.”

Sneering, I turned back to my book, ignoring the further sounds of their pleasure and the noise of clothes being shed.

Ian better hope Tansen never finds out about this.

The human, Tansen held the royal court position of Master of Music. He was in charge of all the music for the castle’s royal events. This included organizing and directing musical performances, managing and training musicians, selecting and composing music, and ensuring that the songs aligned with the preferences and expectations of the royal family—my family.

Also, Tansen was the insanely protective father of Harmony and Symphony.

“Oh, Ian.” Harmony giggled. “Do that again.”

“No.” Symphony moaned. “Do that to me now.”

“And I would like you to do it somewhere else.” I shook my head and focused back on the book. I couldn’t be bothered with Ian’s antics today. I was too intrigued by the legend of the blood roses.

But, how were they made?

I flipped to the next page and read.

In the mystical kingdom of Aelondria, there lived a strikingly gorgeous maiden named Shana. Her beauty was unparalleled, and her heart was pure as the first snow of winter. Unbeknownst to her, Shana had captured the heart of a powerful vampire named Lord Erebos.

Excitement surged through me. There had been many stories of the great Lord Erebos. He was a hero to many, especially me.

I devoured any history book with him in it.

In my room, I even had a huge painting of him wearing his marble-white armor and raising his ornate wooden sword with hundreds of tiny skulls carved into the blade.

Of course Lord Erebos would have something to do with blood roses.

Lord Erebos’s very presence instilled dread in the hearts of mortals. However, despite his dark nature, he had fallen deeply in love with the fair Shana.

I leaned in closer to the book, wishing I could dive deeper into this world.

In the shadows, Erebos would watch Shana, vowing to protect her from the dangers that lurked in the darkness.

The room around me faded away.

Instead of a library or Ian making out with the humans, Lord Erebos and Shana appeared in front of me.

But, Lord Erebos was not the only one in love with Shana.

I opened my mouth in shock.

A malevolent sorcerer called Zalzurian also loved her from afar. When Zalzurian realized that the great Lord Erebos had his eyes on Shana, he came up with a plan to kill the lord.

I frowned.

Blasted sorcerers! Will they ever learn?

I read on, completely enraged that anyone would get in the way of Lord Erebos’s falling in love.

One fateful night, Zalzurian spelled an arrow with a poisonous curse. He then followed Shana knowing that Lord Erebos would be near. But the Lord saw Zalzurian with his bow and arrow ready, thinking that Zalzurian had come to kill Shana.

I tensed. “Oh no!”

Ian chuckled on the side. “Nai, enough with whatever you are reading. Come over here. My fingers and mouth are getting tired. I need serious help with making these sisters moan.”

The women giggled.

“Silent!” I flipped the page and read on, needing to know what happened next.

Fast, Lord Erebos emerged from the shadows, his fangs bared, and his eyes blazing with an infernal fury.

“Yes!” I turned to the next page. “That will be the end of Zalzurian.”

“Dear Ambi.” Ian groaned in annoyance. “You are seriously embarrassing me and ruining a really stiff erection.”

Symphony giggled. “Touch me that way again, Ian.”

“Like this?”

“Oh. Oh.”

Harmony whined. “Do that to me too, Ian.”

“Ladies, we must be patient. I only have two hands.”

“But you have a cock.”

“Aww.” A dark growl left Ian. “I do have that. Take it out for me.”

Sighing, I leaned back against the wall and held the book up higher, completely infatuated with the story.

Zalzurian and Lord Erebos fought against each other with the strength of a hundred warriors. Poor Shana had no idea what was going on as she stood on the side in shock and watched. But as the fight raged on, Shana was somehow struck by the poisoned arrow. It hit her chest and pierced her heart.

I gripped the edge of the book hard. “No. Say it isn’t so. There is no way she is dead.”

“Oh, Ian. Oh. Yes. Do that again with your thumb. Oh.”

I flipped the page.

Lord Erebos sliced Zalzurian’s head off and then rushed to Shana. Her life began to slip away. Deadly venom coursed through her veins.

My eyes watered. “Please, don’t die. Please.”

“Oh. Oh. Oh.”

One of the women whined. “Ian, I want you to be inside of me too.”
