I fucking loved that. I loved the way Evan responded every time I touched him.

“We certainly have plenty of alcohol,” Red said. Clearly he noticed my arm around Evan’s waist, but he didn’t mention anything. “Tequila?”

“Hell no,” Evan said. “Well, maybe only if it’s in the form of a margarita.”

“We’ve been making fresh margaritas all night. You’ve got it.”

In another couple minutes, we both had our drinks. The bar area had gotten a little more crowded, and Evan and I were squished up against one another, between other people.

“Can I admit something to you?” Evan asked me, looking up at me from under his lashes.

“Is it that you’re already feeling this margarita? Because I gotta say, Red made these things strong.”

“He always makes things strong,” Evan said, nodding. “And I am feeling it, a little bit. But that’s not what I was going to admit.”

“Okay,” I said, smiling as I reached out, running my palm along the small of his back again. “So lay it on me.”

He took a deep breath, squeezing up a little closer to me. “I was going to admit how much I liked it when you put your arm around me, and now you just did it again, so I guess now I’m admitting how much I love this.”

My heart squeezed in my chest. “I love it, too,” I said. “But mostly I wanted to make sure all the other guys in here knew you came here with me tonight.”

Evan lifted an eyebrow playfully. “Oh really? You want them to know that I’m all yours?”

My cock stirred. “Don’t talk like that unless you’re trying to get me to drag you into an empty bedroom right now.”

“Don’t tempt me, I’ll do it,” he said, reaching out and running his palm down my chest.

I was definitely half hard right now, right here in the middle of Red’s house party. “You’re so bad.”

“You love it,” he said.

“I do love it,” I said.

“You know I’m mostly joking. We just got here, we’re supposed to mingle.” He leaned closer to my ear and whispered. “No matter how badly I wish your cock was between my lips right now.”

“You’re gonna kill me.” I rearranged my bulge and took another long swig from my margarita.

“I know. I’ve just wanted you so bad since the other night.”

“Well, you can have me anytime you want me. As long as you don’t make me get uncomfortable hard-ons in the middle of parties.”

He smiled, and I was lost in his eyes. For God’s sake, he was looking at me like he’d do anything for me.

“I can have you anytime I want?” he asked. I could hear the hopefulness in his voice.

“You can,” I said.

He went up on his tiptoes and brought his lips to mine, kissing me. I pulled in a sharp breath of air, frozen for a moment, but I kissed him back, squeezing his hip gently before he pulled away again.

It was like my whole world had just had the brightness turned up without warning. I was still shocked that he’d kissed me right here, in the middle of a huge party. Of course no one here minded, and hell, half of them might have liked it, but Evan and I had never kissed in such a public place before.

It felt wild and unexpected as hell. I couldn’t help but notice Red glance over toward us, smiling at Evan.

The most shocking thing was how much I liked it, too. Even a few weeks ago I would have felt so self-conscious kissing another man in public, even if it was at a party like this where many of the people were already gay or some member of the LGBT family. But tonight, I found myself not caring.

And Evan was fucking irresistible, anyway.

“You are way too fucking hot,” I said, keeping my voice low as I looked Evan up and down.

He smiled. “I’ll stop torturing you right now. But I want to show you something.” He grabbed my arm, pulling me toward the living room again.

“I hope you aren’t showing me to a secret sex dungeon or something,” I said.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if Red had one of those, but if he does, I don’t know about it,” he said, leading the way.

“How many times have you been here before?” I asked.

“Only when he has parties like this,” he said. “But I think you’ll appreciate this.”

He took me past the living room into some sort of small den at the edge of the house. There were only a few people inside, sitting on couches, but there was a big dog bed in the center of the room where a huge Great Dane was lying on her back. Two women were sitting next to the dog, giving her belly rubs.

“This is Anna,” Evan said, crouching down next to the dog. “She’s a big lovebug. The biggest, I would say.”
