Swallowing, I run my hand up and down his back. “Can we negotiate? Maybe go for the spanking and skip the fucking until I have time to heal?”

“I know I don’t deserve you.” Rafe kisses his way down my body. “But I’m not giving you back.” He spreads my legs before running his tongue up my wet center. I forget all about the discomfort as he slowly sucks and licks every inch of my pussy. Rafe sits back and flips me onto my stomach, then smacks my rear end. Hard.

“Oh,” I grumble at the new sensation.

“Too much?” He gently rubs the sting away.

“No.” I sigh as his pinkie slides between my legs and teases my opening with each pass. “I like it.”

“Good.” Rafe continues his assault on my senses until an unexpected orgasm tears through me. “I love hearing you scream my name.” He lays next to me and pulls me close. “Let’s see how many times I can get you to do it before the banquet tonight.”

Turns out, he’s very good at getting me to scream. The stinging soreness below is a testament to how good he is.

After showering alone because I knew we’d never make it on time if I let him anywhere near me while naked, I pull my hair up into a twist and apply a tiny bit of makeup.

Rafe is shaving when I walk back into the bathroom wearing my new dress. “Can you zip me?” I ask and watch his eyes turn red hot as he stares down at me.

“Oh, motherfucking no,” he growls and drops the razor into the sink. “There’s no way I’m letting you out of here wearing that.” My heart sinks as tears fill my eyes. He doesn’t like the dress I spent so much time picking out.

“You don’t like my dress?” I sniffle.

He gazes up at the ceiling and takes several deep breaths. When he looks back down, I see regret filling his dark eyes. “Your dress is fucking spectacular. I hate the thought of any other men seeing you in.” Rafe pulls me close and slides his hands around my back to pull the zipper up. “Tonight, you have to promise to stay close to me at all times.”

“I promise.” I smile and lean up to kiss his chin.

The entire drive to the downtown hotel, I sit next to Rafe and wonder what in the world possessed me to wear such a flashy dress. Oh yeah. The need to impress my handsome boyfriend and his friends has gotten me in way over my head here.

Trying not to sweat bullets, I turn the air conditioning vent straight to me before staring out the window. We pull up the hotel’s circular drive, and I barely resist the urge to throw up. Nervousness eats at me as Rafe hands his keys to the valet and rushes around the car to open my door.

His dark suit hugs his muscular frame, and I forget about my fear as memories of him making love to me last night fill my mind. His spicy scent wraps around me as he reaches for my hand. “Don’t be nervous.” Rafe smiles and kisses my lips. “You’re going to be the most beautiful woman here.”

As we walk through the lobby, I ignore everyone and everything going on while concentrating on keeping my afternoon snack down. Pasting a smile on my face, I grip his hand tightly and fight the terror that I’ll screw this up for Rafe.

Chapter Nine

Rafe

Watching my girl charm my brothers warms my heart. Tonight, she’s met Hacker, Giant, Cowboy and his wife, Kyra, Bender and London, Cash and Hadley, Hands and Samara, Fifth and Devin, and Playboy and Catriona. I saw my girl’s eyes glaze over by the time I’d introduced her to all of them. “Don’t worry. I’ll remind you of their names,” I lean over a whisper in her ear.

“Oh, God. Is it obvious that I’m overwhelmed?” She worries her bottom lip.

“Only to me,” I assure her. “Would you like another drink?”

“That sounds wonderful.” Oakley smiles at me, and I leave her talking to Giant and Hacker while I make my way to the bar.

“She’s a doll.” Hadley, Cash’s wife, steps up to the bar next to me and smiles.

“I know,” I agree with the MC President’s wife. “I’m one lucky man.”

“Yes, you are.” Cash walks up and slaps me on the back. “But I wouldn’t let that girl out of your sight with all the circling sharks in here.” He glances over his shoulder, and I look up to see one of my male employees standing way the fuck too close to my girl.

When the soon-to-be-unemployed asshole places his arm on her back, I forget about our drinks and storm across the room to pull her against my body. “Tom, do you like your job?”
