“Jace… you know his name is Hayes.”

Although Haven was madly in love with Hayes, and they were pretty much engaged too, Jace still busted his balls. He was forever the role of the oldest protective brother.

“I hope our son is just like you with his little sister.”

“You weren’t saying that last year.”

“That’s because I wanted to fight with you to get your attention.”

“You were just pretending to be my perfect enemy?”

I sang, “Not as much as you were.”

He bit my neck.

I chuckled, shrugging my shoulder, trying to get him out of there. “Come on, we need to go.”

He groaned.

“Your brothers want to see you. Alexander is only in town for the weekend, he has a new movie he starts next week.”

His brothers never questioned Jace on what he did, but they knew he was out of that life. They were happy to have him around again. Since he left for the military at eighteen, he had a lot of years to make up for.

“I can’t wait for you to be Mrs. Beckham.”

“I can’t wait to be Mrs. Beckham.”

We were getting married in the fall, and I couldn’t wait. I finally had everything I ever wanted, and it only took being kidnapped to make that happen. The irony was not lost on me.

However, Jace said we would always have ended up together.

Jace

Giving in to my persistent sexual needs, she coaxed, “You can have your way with me, but you have to be quick.”

My hand slid down her stomach only to be interrupted by a knock on the door.

“We’re busy!” I shouted.

“No, we’re not!”

“You may want to come downstairs,” Haven stressed.

I muttered, “I want to come alright…”

Cove slapped my chest, pushing me up, and I unwillingly gave in.

I’d take my time with her later. Every day was better than the last with her by my side. I couldn’t have been happier with how things turned out between us. She meant everything to me.

“Come in, Haven,” I announced.

She did, and from the expression on her face, this couldn’t be good.

“What’s going on?”

“Ummm… I’m not really sure. Just come downstairs.”

I grabbed Cove’s hand, following Haven out of the room. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous with each step I took until Ledger came into view.

“Why are you here, Hazel? What else do you need from our ranch that you haven’t already tried to take?”

Only then did I notice our family’s biggest competitor standing in front of him.

“We need to talk.”

“Whatever you need to say, you can do it in front of my family.”

Reading people was what I excelled at, and what she was about to announce was going to shock the shit out of us.

“Fine! Have it your way.”

I couldn’t have been more right.

When she declared…

“I’m pregnant with your baby!”

THE END
