Since I hadn’t figured that out, I snorted and rolled my eyes. “That’s so ridiculous it’s not even believable at all. I’m such a cute pup, you’ll never say no to me.”

And cue more embarrassed groaning.

This was going to be fun.

“B for my Brat…my loving boy who gives his Master everything…all his love and all his trust.”

Oh my god, it was so romantic.

A proposal and collaring…with the prettiest collar I’d ever seen.

Then it just got even better.

Roman, Eli’s sexy Dom and boyfriend, crouched down in front of his crazy-ass sub and took Eli’s face in his hands, kissing him softly. “Will you accept not only my ring, but my collar as well and be mine in all ways, for all time?”

They were both too batshit crazy for me, but it was so romantic I couldn’t even complain about coming to a party and getting roped into an engagement. I did, however, throw out a thanks to the universe that I hadn’t crashed it and they’d known I was coming.

Roman’s the more the merrier speech was starting to make sense too.

As Eli said yes and threw himself at Roman, nearly sending the poor Dom careening to the floor, I leaned closer to Wesley and whispered, “Did you know this was coming?”

Out of the corner of my eye I saw him shake his head. “No idea.”

Okay, good.

It looked like we weren’t the only ones surprised by the turn of events judging by the shocked faces and wide-eyed smiles filling the room.

As everyone gave the two lovebirds a moment and stepped back so they could hug and kiss…and in Eli’s case cry…I followed Wesley and Tyler over to one of the last free booths. The bar where the party, well, engagement party was being held had a rustic feel and probably had plenty of space usually, but it was packed.

“I’m surprised they let me come.” I glanced back to see Roman and Eli finally standing but still basking in their love. “Roman didn’t seem to mind, though.”

Wesley scoffed. “He knows what an attention-whore Eli is. Eli would’ve been disappointed if it hadn’t been packed.”

Tyler chuckled as he scanned the crowd. “Am I the only one picturing Roman renting people for the evening just to make sure there were enough bodies in here?”

I hadn’t thought about it until that moment, but just based on what Wesley had told me, it was entirely possible. Leaning over the table and ignoring how squished I was, I grinned at Wesley. “So…who are the plants? I don’t recognize most of these people.”

He snorted but started searching faces in the crowd. “I don’t want to know how you recognize any of them.”

Research, baby.

I might’ve also spent more than a few minutes trying to decide if the lingerie guys were all subs or if there were some Doms mixed in. It was hard to tell, but I had a feeling at least one or two played both sides. But what was frightening was that a few seemed vanilla except for the lingerie and one might’ve been straight.

Horrifying.

“I had to make sure your coworkers were a good influence on you.” And I had to see how cute they were. “That’s still questionable, so I’m going to have to do more research.”

A soft giggle coming from the table behind me said I might’ve had an audience, but there was too much going on to know for sure…and I really didn’t mind either way. My love life had been a bit dry lately, but I’d never been overly shy.

Frustratingly enough, I thought that might’ve been part of the reason my dating life had been so sad. Doms wanted cute shy boys like Wesley, not big pups who weren’t exactly twinks. I knew my Dom was out there somewhere, but I was starting to hope I’d just been looking for him in the wrong state.

Hence, my willingness to come for a long visit and possibly more.

There was honestly nothing holding me in Texas, and the longer I thought about it, the better the idea of moving felt.

“No research.” Wesley shook his head, blushing. “Okay, I’m going to go find food before you say anything else crazy just to make me blush.”

But it was so much fun.

Before I could point that out, Tyler chuckled and leaned closer to kiss Wesley’s head. “One of us needs to guard the table. Do you know what the pup over here likes to eat?”

Wesley nodded eagerly before giving me a devious smile. “But only if he stops driving me insane. Otherwise…I might just have to guess.”

Laughing, I made a grab for the troublemaker, but he only giggled and slipped out of the booth before I could catch him. As he wove his way through the crowd toward the food, still giggling, Tyler looked over at me with a thoughtful smile. “You’re very good for him.”
