He laughed because I was so smart and so cute. “I like the way you think.”

Then he made a silly frowny face and leaned in close so his forehead kissed mine, making me giggle. “You’ve already helped me make new friends, though. Did you know Emerson keeps texting me?”

Oops.

“He’s very friendly.” And silly. And naked. And very not patient. “He likes you.”

Emerson thought Uncle Cohen was the best kind of Dom ever because he got to poke at him and then he could run away and not get punished.

Uncle Cohen sighed. “I’m not even sure what to say to that.”

Me neither, so I just grinned. That way I couldn’t get punished for giving Emerson Uncle Cohen’s phone number. It wasn’t my fault, though. It was Lane’s. He said I had to be nice to Emerson because he was sad he hadn’t been fucked yet.

Ha.

Fucked.

Giggling, I had to pretend to be very serious when Uncle Cohen gave me his curious look. “Do I want to know what you’re giggling about?”

“No.” I was so smart I didn’t even have to worry about that question. I knew the answer right away. “It’d make you squirmy.”

But it might be funny.

Uncle Cohen sighed. “Silly boy.”

I might’ve been silly but he was smart because he just hopped out of the car without asking what was so funny. But I was smart too because I was a good boy and waited for Uncle Cohen to come help me out so I didn’t spill the pizza.

Bouncing as I sang the Wheels song again, I watched as Uncle Cohen shook his head, acting very silly as he walked around the car. Uncle Cohen talked to himself. He wasn’t even little talking to his stuffies. It was just him.

I giggled as he opened the door and I kissed his cheek again as he took the box of yummy pizza. “I didn’t spill it.”

He chuckled, nodding and kissing my forehead as he unbuckled me. “You didn’t spill even when you were dancing.”

“Bopping, Uncle Cohen. It’s bopping your feet if that’s the only part that moves.” Uncle Cohen took my hand and helped me out of the car as he chuckled. “You got me songs.”

He shrugged and grinned. “I was thinking of you the other day, so I decided they would be fun.”

Uncle Cohen always found the most fun things. “Round and round. Up and down.”

He swung my hand as we walked toward the building, but I had to be good and pretend to be grown-up because my neighbors were nosy and there were other people. But Uncle Cohen didn’t let go of my hand and he kept swinging it back and forth. He even hummed the Wheels song as we went up, which made Mrs. White look at him funny, but Uncle Cohen pretended not to notice.

I was so good I was grown-up boring until we got into my apartment, then the giggles escaped. “Uncle Cohen…”

He laughed, shrugging. “I thought you forgot we were going to have little fun tonight.”

Shaking my head, I emptied out my pockets and took off my shoes because that was what I had to do. “No, I’m very good at playing pretend. I can even talk about boring things if I have to.”

I really didn’t understand why people wanted to stay grown-up all the time. Daddies were supposed to, but for everyone else that just seemed silly.

Uncle Cohen laughed and shook his head like I was the funniest boy he’d ever met. “Come on, cutie. Let’s figure out what we’re going to do.”

Bouncing, I jumped closer to him and laughed as he wrapped me tight so I didn’t fall. “Books and toys and cartoons and ice cream and cookies and cuddles and—”

He kissed my nose.

My giggle stopped my brain and I forgot my list.

“You have so many good ideas.” His big smile made me all warm and fuzzy. “But how about we talk to your Daddy first? Then we can play and watch cartoons, and he’ll have seen that I made sure his good boy had food.”

Oh…

Wiggling from foot to foot, I looked up at Uncle Cohen. “Is that okay? I don’t know the rules.”

Uncle Cohen cocked his head and got a good thinking face. “I don’t think we have rules for this, so we’re going to make up our own. And I say that means when we’re together we call your Daddy and tell him all about your day. Then we can play and have book time or watch cartoons.”

“Or have ice cream?” Big me had felt very sad yesterday, so I’d gotten lots.

Uncle Cohen rolled his eyes like they were balls. “Your Daddy is going to kill me.”

Yay.

That was a yes.

But I knew I couldn’t giggle, so I gave Uncle Cohen really good big eyes and leaned in close. “I won’t tell. I’m a good boy.”
