“How are you today? Are you looking for anything, in particular, today, or can I assist you with something?”

“Actually, that red one right there. I want that,” she says, pointing to a BMW Z4.

The sales assistant smiles brightly. I bet that’s the easiest sale he’s ever gotten.

“No problem. How are we paying for that today?”

“Card.” She grins and steps back until she’s standing next to me.

The sales assistant nods and goes to get the paperwork.

She turns to me. “This, for sure, will get you a blowjob.”

“I don’t want a blowjob,” I tell her, and she shrugs. I lean in close. “But this will require you to spend the afternoon with me, naked.”

She flicks her hair again as those eyes find mine. “Naked?” she asks.

“Yes, not a lick of clothing on you.”

“Done. As long as you sign for the car.”

“Done. I’ll have you naked later.”

She sucks in a breath at my words, but I don’t allow her time to back out as I stride over to where the sales assistant is standing, and I pay for the car. Once I have the keys in my hand, I find her sitting near the door, messing around on her phone. “I want you to know… This is the most I’ve ever paid to see a woman naked.”

Her lips form a wide, toothy grin. “I want you to know this is the first time someone has ever bought me something.” I glance at her clothes, with a brow raised. “That doesn’t count. I used your card, yes, but you just went all macho and bought me a car. You may even get to touch me when I’m naked. That’s how hot that action was.”

“Fuck! What do I have to do to get you to sit on my cock?”

“I’m thinking a nice expensive condo…” She taps her chin.

I dangle the keys in front of her.

“Hurry up. Time is ticking.” She takes the keys from my hand and goes straight to the driver’s side without hesitation. I watch as she slides into the car and starts it, her manicured hands clutching the wheel. I move around to the passenger side and climb in.

“You like the red?” she asks, noticing me staring at her red-tipped fingernails. “You paid for that as well.” She smirks before she takes off. And when I say she takes off, I’m not fucking joking. She drives like a bat out of hell, her foot hard on the damn accelerator.

Now, let’s get something straight. Death does not scare me. Death and I are old friends, and I’ve met him a few times and come close to being a permanent resident. But I’ve always managed to come back to reality.

But this chick’s driving is fucking insane.

I manage to type the address into the GPS before I sit back and clutch the door for dear life.

It takes her minutes, probably seconds, before we arrive at our destination.

She giggles. “Thanks for the car. That was fun,” she says, and the thrill in her voice is intoxicating.

I grumble under my breath as I get out, and I thank God for the steady ground under my feet.

“Where are we?” I ask, glancing around.

It’s a warehouse, not one I am familiar with or seen. Zuko gets out and shakes his head as he comes around to the driver’s side and pulls open the door.

Why does that one subtle gesture cause flutters in my stomach. I’ve said this before but there’s something about him.

I’m not really sure how to put my finger on it just yet.

It’s not just that he’s good-looking because anyone with a set of eyes can see that. It’s how he carries himself. It’s that one single glance from him that contains so much more than he can promise, Or maybe he can.

If he ever does promise things, that is.

He stands there, his sunglasses covering his eyes as he stares down at me. I feel his gaze hot and directed at me. He holds his hand outstretched, waiting for me to take it. I clutch the keys tight, unsure if I should or not. He’s patient, though, and doesn’t rush me or push me.

A loud honk makes me jump, but he doesn’t even seem to notice.

“You can stay in the car if you wish,” he finally voices after a few moments when I still haven’t moved.

“Who are you?” I whisper, placing my hand in his. He pulls me out and shuts the door behind me, then cages me against the car, his arms on either side of me. He leans forward, and his breathing tickles my neck as he takes a deep inhale and whispers, “Whoever you need me to be.”

I laugh.

I can’t help it.

Who even says something like that?

He ignores my laugh. For long moments he doesn’t move, and then his lips smash into mine and he kisses me, effectively cutting off anymore thoughts of laughter.
