“Here.” I hand it to her. “I’ll meet you downstairs. I’ll make breakfast.”

“Are you getting dressed?” she asks. I smirk at her as I grab her hand and pull her into the bathroom with me, locking the door behind us. I place her on the counter, and just like last night, I slide into her. It’s fast, just like last night. “The next time we do this,” I tell her as I pull out of her, “we are doing it in a bed.”

“Is that so?” she asks, getting off the counter and pulling off her clothes as she starts the shower. “Does this mean we are dating?” She piles the hair on top of her head.

I chuckle. “I want to do more than date you.” I kiss her lips. “But let’s just take it in baby steps.”

She steps inside the glass shower as the water rains over her. “What does that even mean?” She grabs the bar of soap and lathers her hands.

I lean against the counter I just fucked her on. “It means I want forever with you, but I have to earn you.” She stops lathering her hands and just stares at me. “Now finish your shower, and I’ll meet you downstairs.”

“Okay,” she utters softly as I walk out of the room, really fucking hoping Penelope is still sleeping. Her alarm goes off as soon as I take two steps down the hall, and it rings five times before she turns it off.

“Pancakes or waffles?” I ask her, waiting on the step.

“Waffles and fruit,” she mumbles right before I’m sure she goes back to sleep until the alarm rings again. I start making the waffles when Abigail walks into the kitchen wearing my robe.

“It smells good in here,” she says, coming behind me and kissing my shoulder. “What can I do to help?”

“Can you cut up some fruit?” I ask her, and she walks to the fridge, grabbing some strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries.

“What does your week look like?” I ask her as I pour more waffle batter into the machine before closing it.

“I have four night shifts in a row,” she states as she washes the fruit, “then I’m off five days.” She grabs a knife to cut the tops off the strawberries. “What about you?”

“I leave today for four days, and then I’m back,” I tell her. “Do you think you’ll be okay to see me when I get back?”

She looks over at me, smirking at me. “I think I can squeeze you in.”

I don’t say anything else to her because Penelope comes into the kitchen. “Morning, beautiful girl,” Abigail greets her, and she just grunts as she grabs some orange juice from the fridge. “You never were a morning girl.”

“It hasn’t changed,” I say to her as Penelope pours herself juice and then drinks some. “That’s not true. She’s fine on the weekend.”

“That’s because I don’t have to get up at the crack of dawn,” she huffs, walking over to the sink and grabbing a couple of strawberries. Abigail smiles at her and leans over, kissing her head. “Morning,” she mumbles to Abigail, and the two share a smile. Then she puts her hand on Abigail’s stomach. “Morning, little bro.”

I can’t help but smile at them. They eat side by side as I make a protein shake and run up to get dressed. When I come down, the kitchen is clean as Penelope runs to get her bag. “Bye, Abigail.” She walks over to her and hugs her. “Can I call you tonight?”

“You can call me anytime,” she tells her, kissing her forehead. “I work tonight, so I might not answer, but I will call you back when I can.”

She runs to the front door while I walk over to Abigail. “I’ll be back in thirty minutes.” I kiss her lips. “I have to be at the rink in an hour.”

“So no hanky-panky.” She rolls her eyes. “Got to go put my panties back on then.”

My cock goes immediately hard. “I have to go out to the car with a boner,” I scold, trying to adjust myself. “How am I going to explain this?”

“Tell her you’re having an allergic reaction,” she teases, trying not to laugh at me. “Go or she’s going to be late.”

I rush out of the house, and thankfully, Penelope is already in the car. I drop her off quickly before returning home and having to rush to get in a suit. “I can take an Uber,” Abigail volunteers when I walk out of the walk-in closet and she finishes making the bed.

“Not a chance in hell.” I side-eye her, putting my tie in my side pocket.

“You look very handsome,” she compliments, smiling at me, “and I get to kiss you.”

“If we had enough time, you could even kiss my—” She stops me from talking. We walk out of the house with my hand holding hers and the other hand holding my luggage.
