Corbin couldn’t help it. He reached toward her and took one of her hands in his. She was tense beneath his touch, but he smoothed his thumb over the back of her hand and looked into her eyes.

“We’ll talk later, okay?” He hoped she could see the sincerity in his words, and she realized he wasn’t going to let this go.

She nodded, licked her lips, and he knew he needed to leave before he took the sheet away from her, lay her back on the bed, and worshiped her body like it was meant to be.

Izabella kept the sheet wrapped tightly around her body and stared out her bedroom window. True to Corbin’s words, her car was parked in her driveway, one of his friend’s bringing if over before she’d even gotten up.

She watched as Corbin walked across the yard to his house, his big body moving in fluid motions, and the memories of what they’d done last night playing through her head.

Her body ached in the most delicious of ways, and just thinking about him, of what they’d done, had her entire body tingling, heating with her arousal.

Yeah, she was getting wet for him, and he wasn’t even in the same room.

Get a damn grip. Crestin is back in town, and how do you think she’ll react to the fact you slept with her brother? How do you think she’ll feel when she finds out you want him for more than just a booty call?

She closed her eyes and shook her head at her thoughts. Did she even want to tell Crestin about wanting Corbin, that she had feelings for him... that she loved him? She’d been in love with Corbin for a long time, but she’d managed to keep those emotions back, kept them hidden. He’d never showed her any interest until last night, and that might just have been because of the heat of the moment.

It wasn’t like she’d been too drunk to know what she’d been doing because she knew what they’d done, and she’d been willing the entire time.

Moving away from the window once Corbin was in the house, she knew she needed to decide her next step. She didn’t want this to drag on and certainly didn’t want to brush it under the rug. But maybe seeing how Corbin would react would be the best route?

Izabella didn’t want to make a fool out of herself because if she did tell him her feelings, and it turned out he didn’t reciprocate them, well, she didn’t know how she’d handle it in the privacy of her place.

Izabella went into the bathroom and turned the light on. After she shut the door and let the sheet fall to the floor, she turned and looked at herself in the mirror on the back of the door. Looking at her reflection, the mirror was long enough she could see everything above her knees. Her skin was on the pale side, and she could see faint blue bruising on both sides of her hips and even on her inner thighs.

Widening her stance, she ran her fingers over the light discoloration on her inner legs, her heart beating faster as she remembered Corbin’s firm grip on her when he’d fucked her.

Who knew having his marks on my flesh would be such a turn-on?

She ran her fingers over the bruises on her hips.

To know he touched me this hard, that he couldn’t control himself...

She closed her eyes, feeling her pulse beat in her ears, and knew if she didn’t tread lightly, what they’d shared last night could come crashing down around her.

Crestin paced the kitchen, and all Corbin could do was sit there with his coffee cup in his hand. His entire body was strung tight not only because his sister was upset but also because he couldn’t stop thinking about Izabella.

“He’s such an asshole,” Crestin said and stopped to face him.

“Can you sit down, please? Your pacing is driving me nuts.” Corbin grabbed his cup and finished off his coffee. He’d already taken a shower, his hair still wet, and the T-shirt and sweats he wore feeling too tight on his body.

All he could think about was being naked with Izabella, about owning her, making her come...

Get those thoughts out of your head. There is a time and place for them, and it’s not right now.

When he stood to put his cup in the sink and turned back around, it was to see Crestin sitting at the table, a napkin in front of her, and little pieces already torn off and scattered around her.

“Tell me what happened and whether I need to drive down to Seville and beat that motherfucker’s ass.” And he wasn’t kidding about kicking that prick’s ass.

She exhaled before pushing the napkin away and leaning back and looking at him. Corbin moved to the seat across from her and sat down, waiting until she was ready to speak. He could wait all damn day.
