“Okay, Daddy.” Her voice was filled with reluctance, but once again she didn’t argue with him.

He used that as a shift to what he wanted to discuss during dinner. “Good girl. That will be one of the first rules on the list we’re going to create. Obeying Daddy when he asks you to do something.”

She glanced at him, and her brow furrowed. “I won’t need rules, Daddy. I know I acted up a lot at Blaze, but that was just to get attention. I won’t be naughty. I promise.”

He chuckled as he filled her plate. “All Little girls need rules, Bumblebee. Daddy’s job is to make sure you’re safe, healthy, and happy. Rules help ensure those three things are true.”

“Mmm. I’m not sure about that part, Daddy. Tell me what some of them are.”

He set a hand over hers and squeezed her fingers as he set her plate in front of her. “Wait a minute to eat. The food is hot.”

She shot him a frown. “I’m not stupid, Daddy.”

When she reached for her fork, he took it away from her and held it out of reach. “What were you just saying a second ago about not being naughty?” he challenged.

“Eating dinner isn’t naughty,” she shot back.

He set the fork out of reach and took her plate to set it across the table too.

“Daddy!”

He turned her chair so she was facing him.

She crossed her arms and hmphed. “Maybe I’m not good at being Little.”

“I’m certain you’re perfect at being Little. I’m equally sure you’re challenging me to see how I’ll react. It’s going to backfire on you every time, Bumblebee. Daddy is no pushover. It’s best if you understand that right away. There will indeed be rules, and when you break them, there will also be consequences.”

She squirmed in her seat and looked away at the mention of consequences.

Terry knew exactly where her mind went. “When those consequences include a firm spanking, Daddy will not normally also let you follow up your punishment with an orgasm like earlier, Little one.”

Her breath hitched subtly as he read her body language, and she stiffened and sat very still.

“Now,” he continued, “when Daddy tells you to do something, it’s for a reason. If I tell you to hold my hand in public, it’s so I don’t lose you in a crowd or so no one bumps into you.”

She pushed out her lip in a pout. “That’s just being kind.”

“All my rules are kind, Little one. What if I let you run out into the street without looking both ways?”

She rolled her eyes. “That’s obvious. I might get hit by a car. I’m too old for that kind of rule.”

“Well, it turns out I don’t want you to ever get hit by a car because I care about you, so you’ll hold my hand when we’re near traffic because I’m kind.”

She finally cracked her sour pout and giggled. “Now you’re being silly.”

“That may be but I’m still the Daddy. I’ll be a very strict Daddy too if that’s what you crave.”

“Why would I crave that? No one wants a strict Daddy.”

“Sure they do,” Terry informed her. “Lots of Little girls like having a strict Daddy—usually because they like to break rules so they get their bottoms swatted.”

Kiki shook her head. “I wouldn’t do anything to intentionally get spanked. Not really. It hurt.” She squirmed in her seat at the memory of having her bottom swatted just a while ago. Hopefully it still stung enough to remind her.

“Then I guess you won’t want to experience a spanking very often.” He lifted a brow and waited for her to respond.

She sighed. “No, Sir.”

“Now, why did I tell you to wait a minute to eat your food?”

“So I wouldn’t burn my mouth,” she murmured, kicking her feet back and forth.

“Do you think that was kind, then?”

“Yeah…”

“Is that a nice way to talk to Daddy?”

Another reluctant sigh filled the room. “No, Sir. I’m sorry. I’ll do what you say.”

Terry bent his head down a bit and lifted her chin. “Sometimes you’ll misbehave, intentionally or unintentionally. My job is to discipline you to remind you how much I care about you and how kind I am.”

She rolled her eyes, but she couldn’t keep from smiling. “You can stop saying kind. I get the idea.”

He chuckled, released her hand, and returned her plate and fork. “I have more kindness. For example, please chew your food well and eat slowly. It’s good for your digestion and will keep you from choking. This kind Daddy wouldn’t want you to get a tummy ache or choke on your food.”

“Okay, Daddy. I get it. I’ll follow your rules.”

“Good girl. Now, can you think of another rule we need to add to the list?”

“You want me to make my own rules?”

“I told you last night we would make the list together. We’ll come up with creative disciplinary actions together too. I think Little girls behave better when they’re involved in deciding what constitutes good behavior in the first place.”
