“What? But I wasn’t weaving or anything. I was just playing loud music!” she protests. “That’s not a crime!”

My brother and I merely shrug.

“Ma’am,” I say. “It’s easier for you to do as we say.”

She sniffles again and looks up at us with a face full of regret. Then, the beauty begins to walk along the dirt line as carefully as possible. She cries quietly the entire time. My heart breaks seeing her pain, but she’s walking straight, even as she sobs.

“All right, now turn back and head in the other direction,” Ben instructs her once she’s reached him. She nods and swivels around, facing me now. Doe-like eyes watch me as she straddles the line carefully, clearly sober. When the woman finishes, she stops just short of being able to reach out and touch my chest.

“Am I in trouble for the other night?” she asks in a quiet voice. “Is this what this is really about?”

I stare at her, surprised by the question and immediately angry with myself that she would doubt how much Ben and I enjoyed our unexpected park encounter.

“No,” I reassure her firmly. “We pulled you over because your car was bouncing and jouncing on the road. Nothing else.” Without thinking, I place a hand on her arm, feeling compelled to comfort her.

“I just wanted to go for a drive,” she says in that same low cadence. “My hotel room was making me stir crazy.”

As I take in her lush figure, parted pink lips, and pleading gaze, I find myself fighting the urge to kiss her.

But why fight it?

And before I quite realize what I’m doing, I lean down and let my mouth trail gently over hers. To my surprise, the buxom brunette doesn’t hesitate but returns the gesture with equal intensity. I let my mouth wander over her plushness again, harder now, demanding more from the kiss. The woman complies eagerly, squeezing her body closer toward me.

Finally, I break away, my need becoming too great. Ben has approached us, and he looks from me to the lush woman and back again.

But to my surprise, the woman’s not shy. Instead, she giggles slightly before turning and gently brushing her lips over Ben’s mouth. He’s surprised too, but then my twin’s arms go up automatically, pulling her curvy form tightly against his rigid body. The woman melts into his embrace, mewling with pleasure.

After a moment, the two step back from one another, both panting from the effort.

“I don’t think you should drive out here, not in this state,” I say, noting how hoarse my own voice sounds thanks to my arousal.

She giggles again.

“Then do you mind giving me a ride back into town, officer?” she asks, her voice husky.

Ben and I exchange a quick look.

“Absolutely,” I say bluntly. “It’s no problem.”

Of course, we won’t be dropping her off at her hotel, but we don’t say the words aloud. She intuits our intent though. Cocoa-colored eyes flit between us and she smiles again. “I think I’d like that,” is her quiet assent.

Within a few minutes, the three of us settled into the cop car, winding our way back into Sheridan. The beautiful brunette is in the back, still as a mouse but with a knowing smile on her lips. Suddenly, I can’t wait to find out what’s in store.

Needless to say, Brandon and I aren’t dropping off this luscious piece of womanflesh at her hotel. Instead, we veer right into the driveway of our place, and escort her into the house.

But she doesn’t seem startled. The tempting brunette is peeking around our home, her eyes going wide every few moments as she takes in the space. I try to imagine how our place might look to her – there are tall, vaulted ceilings; dark, heavy leather furniture; plush carpets; and books scattered across wall-to-wall shelves. I catch her observing one such bookshelf when I walk into the living room after hanging up my jacket.

“I thought you guys were cops,” she says as she accepts the proffered glass.

I grin.

“We are. Why, cops can’t read?”

She giggles, flushing a pretty shade of pink.

“No, of course they do. It’s just that … well, your home is gorgeous and enormous too! How do you guys afford this?”

I smile at her bluntness, liking her all the more for speaking her mind. “We went to the Academy because we love what we do, but there’s more to our lives than law enforcement. Our parents are ranchers further out west, and one day, we might leave Sheridan PD to join the family business. But for now, we enjoy living in the city and partaking in what urban life has to offer,” I say by way of explanation.

The woman nods silently, her eyes once more roaming the packed bookshelf before her with appreciation. “I like to read, but lately I haven’t had the attention span for it. I guess I feel like I’m always on the move.”
