But I didn’t want to look like a hobo, so I put on a nice plaid skirt and a complementary red sweater, before brushing my hair out in golden waves. My hair is one of my best assets: it’s long and full, and generally tends to gleam under the light. Contrast that with my body, which is too full in all the wrong places. I have jiggly hips, big squishy boobs, and also a giant butt that barely fits into airline seats.

Taking a deep breath, I try to calm down. These men are being paid to like you, I remind myself sternly. No need to wear yourself out with anxiety.

But when I open the door, the breath escapes from my lungs in a huge gust because these men are gorgeous. Their profile photos don’t even come close to capturing the sheer maleness that emanates from their huge bodies.

“Raider?” I manage in a small voice. “Ryan?”

The one closest to me grins, and I almost fall over with the power of his magnetic smile. His blue eyes gleam and he nods.

“Yep, that’s us. I’m Raider, and this is Ryan,” he says, jerking his thumb at the second tall, dark, and handsome man behind him. “Can we come in? You’re Amy, right?”

I nod faintly and step aside to let them in. Once they enter my apartment, I’m taken aback by how huge they are. Their heads seem to almost touch the ceiling in my living room, and their shoulders are so broad that suddenly, my place feels even tinier than usual. Ryan turns to look at me and smiles then.

“Nice to meet you, Amy,” he says.

My heart pounds in my chest as I try to keep my balance.

“Um, you too,” I say. But then I frown. “Wait a minute, you’re not really twins, are you? At least, not identical ones. In your photos, you looked a lot more similar.”

The two men share a glance, and I can tell they have an understanding between them. Then Ryan nods and speaks.

“You’re right,” he says smoothly. “We’re not identical twins. We’re not even fraternal twins. We’re just friends, but a lot of women think we look so much alike that they never catch on. You’re very perceptive, Amy. Do you want us to leave?” he asks. “I understand if you’re disappointed, and would rather hire different men from Hot Nights NYC.”

I step back, surprised.

“Oh no, I’m totally fine, thanks. I was just wondering that’s all, but it’s completely okay with me. Can I get you a drink?” I stammer. Oh god, why am I coming off like an idiot? Yes, it’s true that I could tell with one look that these men weren’t twins, but I didn’t have to babble like I had verbal diarrhea. Ugh. Chalk it up to being shy and awkward for years, and never really growing out of it.

But the two men look amused.

“Sure, but no alcohol, thanks. Water would be great.”

“Water sounds amazing,” adds the other.

With weak knees, I walk three steps to my left where my kitchen is.

“I have a small place, as you can see,” I add apologetically. “Make yourselves comfortable in the living area.”

The two men take one step to their right, and then seat themselves on my green couch. I usually think that my couch is a reasonable size, but what do you know? With Ryan and Raider sitting there, suddenly it looks like it was made for dolls. Their knees jut up high, and their massive frames take up almost the entire width of the sofa. I smile again faintly, while walking over with two glasses of tap.

“Here you go,” I say with what I hope is a normal-looking smile. “Good old NYC water.”

They each take a sip, and then put their glasses down.

“So how would you like to do this?” begins Raider in a low voice.

Ryan looks around my tiny apartment too, like he’s sizing it up. And in fact, he is sizing it up because he turns back to me with an amused grin.

“Sweetheart, as you can tell, Raider and I are huge men, and that full-size mattress on your bed isn’t going to be enough for both of us. So would you like to use this area here?” he asks, gesturing to my living room rug with the battered coffee table on it. “If we move your coffee table out of the way, there will definitely be enough for all three of us to play.”

My cheeks go hot and I can feel my heart racing, as my insides moisten. Oh my gosh. The time has come. These two huge, gorgeous men came here to make me feel amazing, and now, we’re going to do just that.

Ryan

She’s shocked by my words, I can tell. After all, it’s not often that a woman has a man come over and tell her that the bed’s not big enough. But in this case it’s true because Amy appears to have a full-size mattress, which is nowhere near large enough for Raider and I.
