One being the sisterhood, who had gathered in their pack and kept a side-eye on their men. The sweet butts knew better than to approach any of the Fury brothers who’d already been claimed, unless they were only having some friendly conversation, but some of the female hang-arounds didn’t know any better.

Just like some of the male hang-arounds didn’t know not to approach any of the Fury women not wearing “Property of” cuts. Right now, that basically boiled down to five: Tessa, Saylor, Maddie, Josie and Reilly.

Trip always kept an eye glued to Tessa. Shade watched Chelle’s daughters like a hawk. Rev really didn’t give a fuck if Saylor wanted to hook up with anyone as long as it wasn’t out in the open where everyone was watching. Also, as long as she consented. Even so, he didn’t tell any of his brothers that. He let them believe that he’d have a problem with them if they boned his sister.

However, Judge also had a say in what Saylor did and didn’t do since she was a part of his family now and, as their house mouse, Rev’s sister was responsible for Cassie’s daughter, Daisy.

The club’s sergeant at arms and his ol’ lady had set certain rules for Saylor before agreeing to let her live with them. Not only to keep the then eighteen-year-old out of trouble and to steer her down a better path, but because Daisy was at the age where she was easily influenced by bad behavior. And Saylor, to remain free from John Schmidt, had been a pro at bad behavior.

Rev didn’t argue with any of the rules Judge and Cassie came up with because it gave his sister structure, something she needed after spending almost all of her teen years in juvie and, even before that, being sheltered in what Rev now considered a religious cult.

She spent all of those years locked away from any kind of real family. All of those years separated from her older brother. A brother who couldn’t even visit her until after he turned eighteen. His fear of being caught as a runaway, being returned to Coatesville and given back to his parents had kept him away.

Selfish self-preservation.

He gritted his teeth at his life’s biggest regret.

He had broken the news to Saylor earlier about how their “father” succumbed to his cancer and he assured her she was safe since the man would never “touch” her life again. What he didn’t tell her was that he discovered they were only half-siblings and that her real father was not John Schmidt. Or that their parentage had been another fucking lie among thousands of others.

No, she didn’t need to know because that family no longer existed to them.

The bad was hopefully behind them now, and only the good in front of them.

He took another long drag on his cigarette, the end glowing brightly enough to break up the surrounding darkness, then tilted his head as he heard something moving in his direction. Footsteps. Not something, someone.

He quickly took one more hit of the tobacco, then flicked the remainder away into the shadows as the footsteps got closer.

Then he heard a stumble, a gasp, a little shuffled tap dance, followed by a muttered curse.

He pinned his lips together so he wouldn’t laugh and give away his hiding spot.

His erection had already begun to push against his zipper in anticipation.

He held his breath as the footsteps continued toward Reilly’s Hyundai Kona. She had parked it out of the way along the six-foot chain-link fence that contained all the vehicles Trip and Sig repo’d for Buck You Recovery. Last year, Trip had built the repo yard behind the long shed where they all parked their sleds, so the vehicles were out of sight from anyone looking for their missing ride. Also, to keep them from being tempted to take their vehicle back before actually catching up on their delinquent payments.

The only good thing about Reilly parking there was it was out of sight from anyone still lingering outside in the courtyard. Once things had wound down and everyone who still could function moved into The Barn to continue to party, or find available snatch to fall into, he had headed out to find her car and wait for her.

He knew she wouldn’t stay too late since they both had to be back at work in the morning. He also hoped to fuck she had curtailed her drinking sooner than later since she needed to drive. If not, he wasn’t allowing her to go anywhere until she sobered up.

When the crunch of her high-heeled boots came from right around the corner, his arm shot out grabbing hers and, with a hand securely covering her mouth, he yanked her behind the shed and out of view.

“It’s me,” he whispered into her ear. He waited for her to relax against him and removed his hand.
