“I’ll… oooh… uh… I’ll do that…”

His other hand slipped between her thighs and stroked her pussy over the snug fabric of her leggings. Whenever she bit her bottom lip it was so damn sexy.

She released it to say, “No… I’m fine. You’ll have that in your inbox first thing tomorrow morning. Okay… Yes… We’ll speak then. Thanks, Charles.”

She hung up quickly and pressed back into the office chair, spreading her thighs to give him better access as he continued to work her over her pants.

“That was one of my bosses.”

He nuzzled her neck. “Good for him.”

She tipped her head back until it rested against his chest and closed her eyes. “That was an important call.”

“More important than this?” He circled his thumb against the stretchy fabric in the area of her clit.

Her groan turned into a loud, unrestrained yawn.

“I have no idea why you’re so tired,” he lied.

“We went to bed late.” Tipping her face up, she grabbed a handful of his Henley and pulled him down for a kiss.

He obliged, lingering long enough for his blood to rush south.

“No, we went to bed early. We went to sleep late,” he finally said against her lips.

“Technically, we went to sleep early,” she corrected.

That was true. They didn’t fall asleep until after two. “I know what will wake you up.”

Her eyebrows rose. “Coffee? Tea?”

He played along when he answered, “Me.”

“Well, we did miss out on our morning routine earlier since you were busy working on your statement for Crew.”

“I don’t have to be at Pizza Town until six,” he shared.

“Isn’t that later than normal?”

He didn’t hide his irritation when he answered, “Sure the fuck is. That means I’ll be home later than normal, too. You’re going to have to read to Val tonight.” He sighed since bitching wasn’t going to solve anything. “Can we have a quickie, or do you have any scheduled meetings in the next hour or so?”

“I have a meeting.”

Fuck, there went his awesome idea for her lunch break.

“With you. In your bed,” she finished.

He released her and straightened before spinning her chair around to face him. “Now that’s a meeting I don’t mind attending.”

“I agree. Let me turn on my ‘out to lunch’ message.” She spun the chair back to the desk.

“Is that what we’re going to call it now? Out to lunch?”

She glanced over her shoulder. “Well, aren’t you going to eat?”

This woman. “I’m definitely going to eat.”

The second his phone rang in his back pocket, he knew exactly who it was. Crew’s assigned ringtone was Cartman from South Park screaming, “Respect my authoritah!”

Goddamn, the fucker was interrupting something important. Unfortunately, he had no choice but to take it. Especially if an issue was found with the statement he emailed earlier to the task force leader.

He swiped his finger across the screen and told Crew, “Hang on a second,” then pressed the Mute button. “Do whatever you have to do to ‘prepare lunch.’ I’ll meet you in the bedroom.”

He caught her nod just as he turned and strode in that direction. Once he was in the bedroom, he unmuted the phone and put it to his ear. “Go.”

“Where are you?”

“Home,” Decker answered.

“What time do you have to be at the pizza place?”

“Six.”

“That sucks.”

“No shit. As soon as we get cameras installed and find Sadie, I’m done with this assignment.”

“Well, you’ll be halfway there soon. Judge just signed the affy thanks to your statement.”

Decker whistled softly. “Damn, that was quick.”

“I had him on standby.”

“How soon for the team to install the cameras?”

“I have them on standby, too. All we need to do is wait until no one’s in the clubhouse.”

Fuck. “You’re expecting a miracle, then. I’m not sure that place will ever totally be empty since Wolf wants someone always there due to what’s in the safe.”

“Yeah, but we don’t want a crowd. Don’t most of them go down to that party house on the weekends?

“Yeah. Most. But that doesn’t mean everyone does.”

“It’s the best time to try to get in and out without a bunch of Demons around. We can handle one. He might just have to take an unexpected nap. Or…”

“Or?” Decker prodded.

“You could volunteer to hang out there while everyone else heads out to party for the weekend.”

“Right.” Babysitting the clubhouse sounded like a blast. But if it helped get this assignment over sooner…

“Don’t the prospects take turns staying behind? Offer to take watch on Friday night while the rest go to West Virginia to party.”

“Maybe.”

“They seem to trust you now.”

“Uh huh.”

“Get it done.”

Decker’s eyes rolled up to the ceiling, stuck there for a second, then rolled back down to his feet. “I’ll see what I can do.”

“There’s your team spirit.”

“Fuck off.”

He heard a chuckle in his ear at the same time he heard a noise behind him. Glancing over his shoulder, he saw Sloane leaning against the door frame.
