‘He was mine first, but you lied, and you cheated to take him away from me. Now I’m back to reclaim what’s mine and put you back in the dark where you belong.’

Elena and Ryder were teenage lovers who met in the entertainment industry eight years ago. It was love at first sight for these two mega stars, but unbeknownst to them, there was someone else lurking in the dark, waiting for the right time and opportunity to destroy their love.

My Bully's Crush is created by Jordan Silver, an eGlobal Creative Publishing signed author.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter 51

*Elena*

“So, I don’t understand; how did you come to be here? Do you know Ryder’s new friends?”

“Yes, of course, come on upstairs and have a rest, I bet you have a million questions, and we didn’t get to talk a lot the last time we met.” I felt very calm in her presence, almost like you’d expect to feel after a long day spent at the spa being pampered.

When she led me up the grand staircase to the largest master suite I’d ever seen, which seemed to be the only room in the house that had been decorated in any way, I followed without complaint. This room was gorgeous, and I noticed that it had many of the things I would’ve liked and chosen myself, which meant Ryder had done this. But how did he know that I would agree to come here?

“Your young man told us what you liked, and we had it taken care of. It’s a bit rushed, and he did say that you would be redecorating at some point, so don’t mind if it’s not exactly as you would’ve liked.”

“Are you kidding? It’s gorgeous. I love it.” Even the green curtains at the window were ones I would’ve chosen for a place as elegant as this.

Everything was so opulent that it was hard to believe this had all been done in a rush, but I had more important things to think about than the décor. “So, Char, was it? Why did you stop me that day, and why are you here now?” I’d thought my run-in with her all those weeks ago was by chance, but her presence here tells a different story, of course. One that I’m still not sure of.

“We’re all here because someone very powerful has taken a liking to you and has been following your situation. I can’t say much more than that about that side of things, but I can tell you that everything I told you that day was accurate to the best of my ability.”

“And what are your abilities?”

“Well, that’s an excellent question. I’m what some call a psychic, others may call me a seer, but I just like to say I have very strong premonitions and can read certain situations that others may not be able to.”

“That day, you said someone had worked black magic against me.”

“Well, it was against you and your young man, really. It was done in order to separate you two because those involved couldn’t find any other way to break the bond between you two. It was too strong for their capabilities, so they sought help. In other words, no earthly disagreement between you and your young man could’ve brought an end between you two. That is the way with soul mates. They may drift apart at times, but always they will gravitate back to each other.”

“I’m not sure I believe in that stuff anymore, soulmates, I mean. I used to feel that way about Ryder; there was something inside of me that made me believe we were meant for each other. I once even thought we’d known each other in another lifetime, but now, I think that was all just fanciful thinking brought on by too much exposure to nonsense.”

“No, you were on the right track, but here’s where the dark magic came in. They, too, saw it and understood, and so they used their craft against you two. It did take them a few years, though.”

“But why? I don’t understand. Why would anyone go to this much trouble just to break us up? Was it just so he could marry her?”

“That’s only part of it; the rest I will leave up to your young man to tell you. I’m here only to protect you from whatever they will do next.”

“Do next? What do you mean? Haven’t they done all that they mean to do?”

“They may have thought so, but the thing with those spells and such is that they can sometimes backfire, and when they do, the ones who sent them, who caused the chaos, might try to fix it.”

“Fix it how?”

“There’s nothing for you to worry about. You just leave that stuff to me. As long as I’m here, nothing can be done against you.”

“But why are you doing all this? And who is this powerful person that’s helping Ryder and me? And why?”

“I’m not a hundred percent sure why. There can be so many reasons with that one. It could be as simple as the fact that you bear her grandmother’s name or the fact that she likes your music and TV shows. All that I was told was to take a look at you and your situation because it was suspected that something more was at play, and they were right.”

“That day I saw you, I’d been watching you for a while before I made my approach. It was long enough for me to see the signs.”

Elena and Ryder were teenage lovers who met in the entertainment industry eight years ago. It was love at first sight for these two mega stars, but unbeknownst to them, there was someone else lurking in the dark, waiting for the right time and opportunity to destroy their love.
***
My Bully's Crush is created by Jordan Silver, an eGlobal Creative Publishing signed author.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter 1

*Elena*

“So, how was it being a child star? One of the very few who made it out on top?”

“Well, it had its ups and downs, if I’m being honest with you.” I fought hard not to pick at my nails or bounce my legs nervously, knowing that the camera never misses anything, and neither does the eye of a well-trained reporter on the hunt for the next big scoop.

“Explain.”

“As a child, I didn’t know anything more than that I was doing something I loved. How many people get to be on television and see themselves portrayed in a fun, wholesome way throughout their formative years?”

“To me, it wasn’t a job. It was just something I loved doing and had so much fun doing. I didn’t think about or understand that it was so out of the normal realm. I guess I thought that all little girls and boys got to do what they loved, and we were all special.”

He nodded his head but didn’t respond with another question, which left me in the awkward position of having to fill in the gap. This is the one thing I hate about doing these interviews. Well, it’s one of the things I hate anyway because there’s plenty that I absolutely despise about having my life picked apart for the whole world to see.

“That seven-year-old only knew the joy of the fairy tale she was living. Even when the days were long, and I was tired, someone was always there to distract me and keep me on the course, usually my mom.” I smiled over at her in the corner where she stood, always watching, always waiting to scoop me up if I fell.

No one knows the signs better than she does, and no one is more prepared. I long for the days before my life became the hell it is now. The days when our biggest worry was how many calories I could afford on any given day because there was a show coming up. As a teen, I used to think that was hell, but now I know better.

“Was it hard then, being a child star? Do you feel like you missed out on being a child?” Why do they always ask that? No, be fair, Elena, there are plenty of reasons for them to ask because unlike you, who chose this for yourself, though you were too young to know, there are plenty who had been forced into the spotlight by money-hungry parents who saw their talented child as a cash cow.

“No, I didn’t mind much because I was living my seven-year-old dream. I was the one who wanted this, who pushed my mom so hard to help me get here. I have no regrets about the way things were, not really. The first few shows I did, which had very long runs, were all fun and light. I guess they were what you would call age-appropriate, so in some ways, it was no different to being in a classroom, except you were doing it on a set, in front of cameras.”

“And then? What happened when you moved on to more grown-up shoes? When did you get into that teen phase?”

“Then, I grew up fast. That child starts to grow. She’s sixteen, seventeen, and eighteen, and the world looks completely different in her eyes.”

“My mom, who was my manager and the one who’d shielded me all my life, can no longer keep me away from all the darkness that comes with the profession.” There was a hitch in my voice, and I struggled to hold on, to hold it in. Each time I do one of these things, it’s like reliving my past. But Mom and the others say I must do it to stay relevant, so here I am.

“That teenage me got to see a new side of the industry that she’d been guarded against before, and things are not as rosy as they used to be. You realize that you grew up in the public eye and that when you were that young girl living out your Cinderella dream, there were grown men and women critiquing everything about you. From the clothes you wear to how much weight you’ve gained and lost in any given year.”

“I see. What’s the worst thing about the industry that you’ve found? Or rather, what was your lowest low as you see it?”

“Having my whole life be center stage. Having my every achievement and failure broadcasted for all the world to see.”

He looked down at his notes and back up at me again, and I knew what was coming next. It’s the question they all ask. The one they’ve been asking for the past three years, the worst years of my life, and the question that cuts me more profound than any other.

When Wendy went after a married man and got him, she thought her life would change for the better. She had no idea that the jilted woman’s moving on would set off a string of events that would show her and the man she stole why the grass is never greener on the other side.
When Rachel lost her no-good husband to another woman, she endured the pain of betrayal like anyone else would, but it didn’t take her long to look at the bright side. What had she lost after all? A husband and father who barely spared a moment for his wife and kids? Good riddance.
She was all set to do it alone, no matter how hard it proved to be, but that was before her husband’s best friend stepped in to help her carry the load.
When Doug left his wife for his new hot girlfriend he expected her to put up a fight. He was pleasantly surprised and relieved when she let him go without too much fuss. But little did he know that things would take a drastic turn when his best friend decided to pick up his slack.
Jacob had always had a thing for Rachel. In fact, the night she met Doug, he had been the one to see her first and point her out to his friend, who made the first move. Now that Doug was out of the picture, the wealthy businessman saw no reason not to make his move.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

BASTARD

“What did she say?”

“She said, okay.”

“That’s great, isn’t it?”

“Yeah, it’s great. I can’t believe how easy it was. I thought for sure she’d make a fuss.” Why didn’t she make a fuss? She seemed almost like she didn’t care. How could that be?

I was always the love of her life. We were happy; our life was the envy of everyone we knew. So why is she being so blasé about me cheating? I looked over at my affair partner as she drove us back to her place.

An hour ago, I thought this was what I wanted. I was sure of it. I’d built up the nerve to tell my wife that I’d been cheating for the better part of two years. It took me months to work myself up to confess.

I had a lot to take into consideration, not least of all the kids. We have two. I haven’t been in love with her since about the first week after our first was born. I’m not sure how it happened; I can’t even remember when I first realized it.

She’d had a hard pregnancy with a lot of physical impairments that led to us not having sex as often as we used to. The affair didn’t begin then, though, that only started about a year later.

Wendy was the new hire at the job. She was young, smart, vivacious. All the things my wife once was before life, and kids got in the way. She went from being driven and career-oriented to wanting to be nothing more than a wife and mother.

Financially, it was doable; I made more than enough. But she lost that glow she used to have from the moment she made that decision. Maybe I should’ve told her how I felt, but I, too, thought it was best if she stayed home with our kids.

She put her all into being the best wife and mother she could be, but it wasn’t enough; the spark was gone. We still slept together and still did everything we used to before the kids, but my heart was no longer in it.

Wendy was there; she wanted me; she was exactly what my wife used to be when we first met. How could she have changed so much? She’d become someone I didn’t even recognize.

The affair started out hot. There was more passion than I knew what to do with. Every chance we got, we’d sneak off to have sex. In the office, a parked car. The best was when we had to travel together for work.

We’d kept separate rooms for appearance's sake, but we spent each night together, making the most amazing love I’d ever experienced. In the beginning, I was afraid of being found out, but the longer it went on without my wife Rachel figuring it out, the more at ease I became.

Rachel never suspected anything, which made my time with Wendy as smooth as possible, given the situation. But then Wendy got tired of being the other woman. She hated that I went home to Rachel and my son every night, leaving her alone.

And then Rachel got pregnant with our second and Wendy kind of spiraled. She knew I wanted to be with her, but she couldn’t deal with the fact that my wife was pregnant with my second child while she felt like her life was on hold.

I told her to wait until after Rachel gave birth, which she agreed to. But this pregnancy was just as bad as the first, and I had to play the dutiful husband again.

Now, my oldest is three, and we have a six-month-old. My son has no idea that I just upended his world, and my daughter is too young to understand anything.

Wendy had given me the ultimatum once my daughter made it to the six months mark. If I didn’t tell my wife, she was going to leave town, but not before coming clean with my wife and burning everything to the ground.

It was kind of liberating having her make the choice for me. On the one hand, I could lose her, and my wife and kids, or I could just lose my wife and kids and keep her. I chose the latter; it was the right thing to do. It’s what I wanted.

So why do I feel so hollow? Why does it feel like the worst thing I have ever done? Wendy seems so happy. I’m happy for her. Maybe I’m just in shock. That’s it. The prospect of starting over with someone else, the fallout from family and friends.

I’d thought of all these things before coming clean, but the reality feels different, and it’s all because of Rachel’s reaction. At first, I thought she was going to make a scene. I know the signs. At first, she had tears in her eyes, but then I saw her look at our son in the corner of the room playing with one of his toys and then down at the baby in her arms who had fallen asleep while nursing.
When billionaire Gideon Thorpe sees the young beauty across the way, he’s instantly struck by her beauty. A man accustomed to having whatever his heart desires, he’s a little cautious as she seems rather young. When he can’t get her out of his mind he sets his team of investigators on her tail to find out all there is to know about the girl who has fast become an obsession. As things unfold Gideon realizes that though he might have to wait to take her he can’t leave her in the situation he’s found her in. When things become too dangerous he takes her away to his home and to keep her safe marries her in a secret ceremony.
But someone from his past is not too pleased when news of the nuptials spread and danger follows the new bride around.
Now the hard nosed billionaire finds himself not only having to protect his wife from an ex who’s out to destroy but also from the secrets that shroud her life. Will his love and protection be enough to keep her safe from the powerful men who seek her for their own sinister needs?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

GIDEON

Ilooked down from my top floor office at the hustle and bustle down below. I felt bereft, adrift and just downright bored. Life has become somewhat melancholy here lately. It was a hard pill to swallow for someone who’s supposed to be at the top of his game.

My business was going gangbusters I had my finger on the pulse point of life and yet here I am. My breath caught as I saw what I’d been waiting for, what has been drawing me here to my windows for the past few days.

There she goes again, fuck me. Does she have any idea what she does to me? Of course she doesn't, she haven't a clue, she doesn't even know I exist.

In her catholic school uniform that made me want to perform all sorts of illegal acts. Well maybe not so much illegal. She looked to be at least seventeen or eighteen; sixteen is legal in this state.

So what if I'm twenty-six years old? Legal is legal, still I've been fighting myself, trying to be good. That's not my forte. I'd seen her for the first time three and a half weeks ago. The wind had been extremely high that day as I'd been exiting my chauffeur driven car, when she walked by on the other side of the street.

It wasn't the short skirt blowing about her legs that caught my attention, no. It was the way the wind blew in her hair. The way her small, slender hand came up to hold it back from her face; why the fuck did I find that so hot?

She had the typical teenage body, tight ass, perky tits, though hers seemed a little on the heavy side on her slender frame, but it was her lips that really got to me, those fucking lips that made you think 'Angelina who'?

I've had dreams of fucking that mouth for three weeks and counting, but still I hesitate to approach her. A man in my position can never be too careful and going after a young girl might not be the smartest move.

On the other hand Gideon Thorpe isn't in the habit of denying himself anything, especially something that affects him so deeply. Not much does anymore so that added even more of a pull. A challenge something to get the blood pumping again. I felt my body react at the thought.

How would she feel under my hands? Would she be soft and sweet, or was she one of those ridden hard types? She didn’t strike me as such she had an air of innocence about her, something that was sorely lacking in my world and had been for quite some time.

I watched her now from the high-rise office in my building downtown. I've become obsessed, I'll be the first to admit it, but there were a few things to take into consideration, not the least being the woman I've been fucking for the past two years. I say it like that because that's just what it was. She's a fuck, a good fuck, but just a fuck nonetheless.

I would need to extricate myself from that situation before I approached my Blossom. I didn't let myself worry about whether or not she was in a relationship of her own, that wouldn't stop me.

She'd called forth something in me that no one else ever had, to me that meant only one thing; she's meant to be mine.

GIDEON

Ihad the timer in my office set to go off every morning at the time I knew she usually walked by on her way to school. It didn't matter what I was doing at that time I’d stop to watch her, kind of like getting my fix for the day.

Once I'd been in the middle of a conference call when it went off, I'd carried on with the meeting while standing at the bank of windows and spying on her through my new binoculars bought just for my new pastime.

The buzzing of the intercom alerted me to my secretary calling. I didn't want to take my eyes away from the scene below on the sidewalk across the street. So fucking beautiful it hurts. I felt the telltale signs of desire once more as my body reacted to the vision.

If the pull was this strong from afar I can't imagine what it would be like once I get her beneath me. With a heavy sigh I walked over to my desk, whoever this is it better be fucking good.

"Thorpe." I picked up the phone none too gently I’m sure my secretary was wondering who the fuck had pissed in my oatmeal here lately seeing as how I have not been my usual self.

Long nights dreaming of a girl whose name you didn’t know but who fucking halfway owned you already puts a man like me in a pissy mood. I had to handle things right so nothing came back to bite me in the ass, but the waiting was killing me. I’m sure dignitaries vetted heads of state faster than my shit was taking.
When Alyssa Archer returned home a day early from an out-of-town business trip to find her fiancé in bed with the younger sister of her best friend, she didn’t fly off the handle as some might expect. Instead, she retreated to her dining room to partake of the dinner she’d picked up as a surprise.
That night set off a trail of vengeance so dark even Machiavelli would blush.

Garrett Jacobi didn't expect to feel anything for the up-and-coming financial hotshot when they met. But just days after meeting her for the first he finds himself taking the place of the groom and embarking on one heck of a ride as his new bride makes a swath of destruction through her enemies.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

ALYSSA

You know, life certainly is funny sometimes. This story is going to take you places you’ve never been, so buckle up, cupcakes, let’s go for a joy ride. Let me tell you about the year I lost my ever-loving shit on hearth and home and gave my little town a story to last for decades. That shit is still being told, and I’ve been damn near normal since then, but whatever. Haters gonna hate.

Now, this all started when I had to leave town on a business trip that was supposed to last four days. It was one of the biggest deals of my career thus far, and at twenty-three, it was a big deal because I was the youngest in my division, fresh off the campus lawn.

I know the only reason those good ole boys sent me was because I’m pretty as shit with a body to go with the face that was blessed by whoever threw me together. Big-up to the big guy upstairs. Oh, before we go any further, I’m just a tad bit full of myself, but I’ll be damned if I didn’t earn that shit.

I aced everything I ever did, don’t know how or why. I’m that kid you love to hate. Never cracked a book until the night before finals and still walk away with an A-Plus. People hated me, but little did they know I lived off of their tears. Sweet!

Now, don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t one of those stuck-up debutant types, no ma’am. I liked to roll in the mud with the best of them. That’s probably because I grew up with four older brothers who thought I was one of them until I hit puberty. Then they lost their ever-loving minds and started treating me like spun glass. Meh!

Anyway, I was confident in my own skin and wasn’t too stuck on getting anyone’s approval, and it showed. I think Mom’s nineteen-eighties music, which was the equivalent of Beethoven to yours, truly helped promulgate my sense of myself. Her favorite song to clean the house to was Nobody’s gonna break my stride, Nobody’s gonna slow me down.

I used to follow her around with my little toy vacuum shaking my butt along with her and singing my own version, and I think it stuck. But I digress. Anyway, they sent me off to San Francisco from my little town in the deeeeeep South to hobnob with the executives they were trying to schmooze.

I’ll be honest; Garrett, the owner of the company, who I wasn’t aware was the actual owner, was hot as anything on a Hollywood lot, and he probably took one look at me and thought with my southern twang and pinup doll curves and straight blonde hair that I was as dumb as every blonde joke he'd ever heard. I had that sucker eating out of my hand in five minutes because I ain’t no slouch.

Anyway, I was sitting in my chair at the meeting, all but quivering like a wet dog in snow. When he signed on the dotted line and shook my hand, I held my breath, thinking that this couldn’t be real. Instead of the four days it should’ve taken, it only took two.

Not only that, I knew I had the thirty-percent pay raise in the bag. I’m going to be making bank. I felt the little tingle down my spine when we shook hands again and kept my legs clamped tightly together because I was not a slut. One, it’s bad for business, and two, my college boyfriend was at home waiting for me.

I said my goodbyes, only then realizing that he was the owner of the company and not the executive I’d been expecting whatever. I called my boss as soon as I got into the Uber, and we had our own little celebration on the phone.

I started to call my fiancé but changed my mind at the last minute, choosing instead to surprise him. It was still early in the day their time, and since the company always buys me an open-ended ticket when I travel, I called up the airline to see if I could bump up my flight time, which was a big fat yes.
When Brittany Wilson suspected her husband was cheating, this wealthy socialite planned to go scorched earth. But she wasn’t expecting the many twists and turns that followed as she set about following the other woman who she planned to destroy. This story includes a cameo appearance from Lyon and The Squad

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

CHAPTER 1

Mark and I attended Vassar together. He was in his senior year when I was a junior. We met at a soiree our houses held together for a worthy charity, and it was love at first sight. I can still remember all these years later the way I felt the first time we met.

He was the most beautiful person I’d ever seen, and I thought my heart would burst from all the feelings that erupted within me as our eyes met across the room. I felt lost and adrift when he turned away without acknowledging me, and the feeling was so poignant that, too, has been embedded in my mind.

I didn’t know that he’d later ask around for my number and call me before the night was over. I vividly recall knowing then and there that this was the man I would spend the rest of my life with. There was nothing standing in the way of our young love.

We came from similar backgrounds and pedigrees and were both on track to realizing our academic dreams. We were married three weeks after my graduation and I gave birth to our girls almost exactly nine months to the day. Our son was born eleven months later.

Now, the kids are all in their first year of college, and we’re empty nesters. I was looking forward to this new phase in our lives because even with household staff and me being a stay-at-home mom for our entire marriage, we had never really been alone, him and I.

That didn’t stop the closeness we shared over the years or hindered our romance in any way. There were still date nights, and at least once a year, Mark and I took a couple’s vacation while the other three were spent with the kids.

Once the kids were in school, I gave more time and attention to my charities and volunteer work, organized parties for my husband’s business associates, and was the ultimate soccer mom.

All in all I gave my best for my family and remained an avid lover for my husband. That spark I felt for him that first day never dimmed and only grew brighter due to the love and admiration he showered me with.

So it was a blow to the system when, on my way back from a luncheon a few towns over, I saw my husband, not at the office as I expected him to be, but getting into his car that had been parked on the street in this town where neither of us frequented.

I was about to honk the horn, thinking that he may have had a lunch meeting, which wouldn’t be that abnormal given the nature of his profession. As a venture capitalist, he spent more time in restaurants and other similar settings than in his office.

As my hand moved toward the horn, I saw something that broke me. I even released a yelp of pain as the woman walked over to him and wrapped her arms around him. The embrace couldn’t have been that long but there was no mistaking the intimacy.

I don’t know why I didn’t announce my presence or how it was that a cold numbness took over me instead of the hot rage one would expect. I sat and watched with dry eyes as he climbed into his car and drove away while she got into hers that had been parked behind.

I’m not sure why I followed her instead of him or how I had the presence of mind to capture images of her license plate. Or why I stopped a few cars back when she parked, why I snapped images of her on my phone.

It was only when she disappeared inside the building that I recognized it as one of ours. I’d driven back to my city and not even realized it. I sat there for what felt like hours, but by the clock, it had only been half an hour before driving home on autopilot.

He wasn’t home when I got there, which was for the best because I needed time to get my thoughts together. I couldn’t acknowledge the pain in my heart because that would not help me much at this time. Anger had no place here; I needed a cool head.

I walked up the stairs to our bedroom and into the walk-in closet to change into my one-piece bathing suit. Swimming always relaxes me and gives me time to look inward.

I didn’t let my emotions win, no matter how hard they tried, as I threw myself into the temperature-controlled water. My arms and thighs burned as I swam lap after lap.

The more I swam, the harder I pushed myself, the clearer my head became. The first order of business is to find out all I can about the young lady and go from there. It didn’t matter how long it had been going on; once was more than too much. All I had to decide now was what I wanted to happen.

When she learns that her husband of more than twenty-years has been cheating on her, Jolene Masterson, fueled by the vigors of perimenopause comes out swinging. Instead of fighting for her marriage as most women in her position would, Jolene decides that a new start is just what she needs. No one, especially her soon to be ex-husband expects the once content SAHM to throw off the mantle of wife and mother to embark on a new life of excitement with the younger man that sweeps her off her feet.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

CHAPTER 1

“I want a divorce.”

“Okay.”

“What?”

“I said okay.” I continued drinking my coffee and eating my homemade cinnamon roll dripping with icing that was fresh out of the oven.

“You bitch. After twenty-five years of marriage, that’s all you can say to me?” I didn’t even look in his direction. He was no more of a distraction than a buzzing fly or a gnat that was trying to crawl up my ass.

“I want you out of my house.” Now, see, that is where we part ways. I’ve lived in this house for more than twenty years, raised my children here, and put up with his bullshit for much longer than I should. My only answer to his asinine statement was to pick up the steak knife I was supposed to be halving my cinnamon roll with and roll my eyes in his direction. He got the message real quick and stepped back.

He stomped around the kitchen, banging pots on the counter and making a complete ass of himself, so I picked up my phone and dialed my girlfriend, Sheila. “Did you confront him?”

“I did.”

“And what did he say?”

“You know, the usual. It didn’t mean anything; it was a mistake, yada-yada-yada.” As if telling me, his wife and the mother of his children, that he fucked some strange bitch ‘just because’ was supposed to make it better. “Why are adulterers and adulteresses so dumb? Do they think telling their spouse that they fucked them over for something that meant nothing makes it all better?”

“Why are you always telling that bitch my business? You see, this is why….”

“Tell that motherfucker to call me out my name one more time.” I didn’t have to tell him shit because she was screaming loud enough for him to hear her across the room. Coward that he is, he swallowed and zipped his yap.

“Sheila, what the hell kind of friend are you?”

“What do you mean?”

“Twenty-five years ago, when you were standing up as my maid of honor, couldn’t you have spilled some shit on my wedding gown? How could you have subjected me to this asshole for the best years of my life?”

“Best years, my ass girlie, we are in our prime. You are prime fucking real estate girlfriend.”

I can’t keep up with her craziness half the time, but this I have got to hear. “What the hell does that mean?”

“Girl, are you for real? You’ve got the kids; the last one just left the nest for college; you’re not the one who cheated; you’re going to clean up in the divorce and make sure you keep that kickass house; that pool is good for some midnight swims.”

“Your ass can’t see at night what swimming?” Her husband teased her in the background.

“Shut your ass before I send you the way of doofus McRooney over there.” That’s the name she’d taken to calling my soon-to-be ex since we found out about his affair with the young girl less than half his age.

Kevin the worm was looking kinda antsy, so I kept an eye on him out the side of my eye because he’s been acting very out of character since I confronted him with all the evidence last night. I’m not sure what his problem is; I mean, he’s the one who stepped out on our marriage. All I did was confront him, and when I didn’t kick up the fuss, he expected his little feelings got hurt.

All I want is what’s coming to me, and Sheila’s right; I’ve already raised my four kids, and my baby just left for college. My two oldest are already done, the third is about to be done, and it’s looking like my life is now about to begin.

Don’t get me wrong; I haven’t always been this cold and disinterested. I used to love my husband and thought I always would. We had the kind of relationship that everyone envied; our house was the place everyone in the neighborhood gravitated to.

I would’ve died for my husband or any one of my children up until a few days ago. But that was before I saw the words ‘I love you’ written by my husband to some little floozy down the street. He didn’t even have the decency to take that shit elsewhere; no, he went off and fucked the sister of my oldest son’s friend.

I didn’t know it was possible, but as soon as I read that text, every bit of love I ever had for him died on the spot. I didn’t argue with him, just told him that I knew, and when he started the backtracking gymnastics, I walked my happy ass off to bed and left him standing there.

I didn’t close the bedroom door against him and didn’t acknowledge him when he came to bed. I just put on my eye mask, turned out my bedside light, and slept in my usual position. I don’t think he slept a wink because he must’ve been too afraid that I would roll over and smother him in his sleep.
When her husband left her and their three little girls for one of his work colleagues, Justine did not take it lying down. The SAHM refused to be a victim and came out swinging.
She ended up having one too many at the bar across the street from the corporate party where she planned to expose them and get a bit of her own back and things got way out of hand.
Marcus Devereaux had just landed back in town after years of ignoring his grandfather’s pleas that he come home and take over the family business when the hot blonde called out her ex and his affair partner in a room full of businessmen and women. It was the beginning of the end for the confirmed bachelor who never believed there was a woman alive who could capture his interest and keep it.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

JUSTINE

Okay, Justine, enough of this crying shit. I drank the last of my third drink in twenty minutes and slammed the glass down on the counter. I left the bartender a nice tip because she’s a good sort who listened to my woes and was just as upset as me about the shit that was going on in my life.

She kinda reminded me of the women I grew up with. Those boss bitches in steel-toe boots who could hold their own against anyone, man, woman or child.

After years of being married to a sod, I’d forgotten that I was one of those women. It’s so bad that now I need liquid courage just to speak my truth, and that was never the case before.

I feel like a damn hypocrite. When my girlies from college call me up crying about their life issues, I’m always the one telling them how to navigate these things, and yet I’d let this spineless fuck slip by me while I wasn’t looking.

He'd worn me down, him and his mealy mouth bitch of a mother, talk about the mother-in-law from hell. I’d put up with her shit because I was in love with her breech-born mama’s boy zit of a son.

I’ve put up with much more than that, but what I absolutely will not do is put up with cheating. No, siree, that shit ain’t going to fly.

I trudged down the sidewalk and looked across the street at the five-star hotel that was my destination. The party room of that hotel, to be exact, where my husband and the other high-level executives from the company he works for, along with their wives and some lower-level employees, were gathered for some party or another.

Also in attendance is the rot-crotch bitch he was screwing behind my back for the last year while my stupid ass sat at home raising his asshole kids, that were doing their best to put me in an early grave.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my kids, but for fuck sake, don’t they ever stop moving? These little pissants, not one of them taller than my knee, be running my shit from sunup ‘til sundown.

I haven’t had a moment to myself since giving birth to my first five years ago and the other two that came right after because I let that asshole talk me into having the kids close together in age.

I put my whole existence on hold for this shit, and this is the thanks I get. I was so fucking mad I sobered up and had to go back to the bar for another round.

Not because I was afraid to do what I came there for, but because I’d reached the point of mad where my gun was not going to stay in my purse if I went over there now.

I had to hurry, though, because the babysitter had shit to do, and she couldn’t waste her night because I was too chicken, so after one more, I took a deep breath, walked out of the bar, stepped down off the sidewalk, and headed toward the beginning of the end.

I wasn’t dressed for this, which is something I knew before leaving my house to come here. The thing is, between finding out about the affair, calling the babysitter, and leaving the house, it had only been a half hour or so. I didn’t exactly have time to think or plan my outfit.

What the fuck do you wear to burn every fuck down? Hell, if I know. But the culottes and tee shirt I was wearing when I found the evidence is exactly what I’m wearing. I had to look down to remind myself what I had on my feet. Uggs house slippers.

I pushed my purse higher on my shoulder and walked through the doors of the hotel. I had my shades on and didn’t even look in the direction of the front desk because my business was not with them.

I knew where the ballroom was in this place since I’d been here before, so I took the elevator up and prayed the booze didn’t wear off too soon. I needn’t have worried, though, because the first thing I saw when I stepped off the elevator and into the party was a waiter with a tray full of champagne.

“I’ll have one of those, thank you.” People were already looking in my direction because, in a sea of black and white evening wear, I stood out like a sore thumb. Like, I give a good damn.

I didn’t look left nor right as I headed to the podium at the front of the room that they leave there for any blowhard who wants to blow smoke up the owner’s ass to go and make an ass of themselves. I was that ass today.

I think I heard my soon-to-be shit stain of an ex call out to me, but this was not his part of the show, not yet. “Hello, good evening. Attention, please.” I waited for the noise to settle down, and all eyes were on me.
When a teenage Grayson Carter was forced to continue dating the daughter of his father's boss after she cheated, something in him snapped. For the next four years Grayson plotted and schemed for the day he would make them pay. He had no idea that fate was about to change his life plans and help him exact a more beautiful revenge than he'd anticipated.

Lily Devon Sinclair lost her father even before she was born to the mistress and daughter he had while her mother was pregnant with her. Now that daughter and her mother has made her life a living hell. When she sent Grayson the proof that her half sister was cheating, she had no idea that a year later they'd meet on the college campus and become more than friends.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

GRAYSON

I’m the groom in two weddings today. Well, technically, I’ll only be at one, but you get what I mean. One wedding is being held at one of the ritziest country clubs in North America, with over two thousand guests.

The other was an intimate ceremony for twenty of our closest friends in a cute little vineyard tucked away in the hills of Tuscany. I chose the latter, in case you were wondering.

But I’m getting a bit ahead of myself. For you to understand how I got to this place in life, we’ll have to go way back. Back to a time before I became the vengeful dick, I am today. And no, I don’t care what anyone thinks of the things I have done, in case you were wondering.

When I was about four years old, I met my best friend. She was the daughter of my father’s boss. Lacey and I were thick as thieves all through kindergarten to middle school.

When we turned fourteen in high school, she decided that we should date each other. As a young guy who wasn’t too much in the know when it came to relationships, I saw no difference between that and what we were already doing, so why not? I mean, we spent practically every minute together, even during school hours.

Lacey’s father, of course, was loaded as well as mine, so there were lots of family vacations where both our families would get together and spend the summer at a beach house on a private island. Or sometimes, both kids would go somewhere with one set of parents; we were that kinda close.

From a young age, Dad taught me how to read the stock market in the New York Times, and I became fascinated with all things financial. By the time I was sixteen I was investing all the birthday and holiday money under my Dad’s name and had a pretty neat nest egg.

I have to admit that I was kind of a hot nerd, or at least that’s what the girls used to whisper about me in the hallways at school. That being said, sex was the last thing on my mind. Between AP classes, the swim team, and my stock trading, I had no time for much else.

At this time, Lacey and I were still dating, and we’d gone as far as kissing and some under the shirt stuff, but I’d learned enough from seeing it happen before my eyes not to want to go any further. I was terrified of getting her pregnant and derailing my life.

So, I came up with the idea of telling her that I wanted to wait until we were married. She seemed okay with that, and life went on as usual, that was until I received an anonymous text with photo evidence of my girlfriend cheating on me.

I think the most telling thing for me about the situation is that I had no response at all. I wasn’t hurt, angry, none of the things you would expect. That’s when I realized that I didn’t have those feelings for her, so whatever she did was really none of my concern.

I did confront her, though, and told her that since she obviously had someone she liked, there was no point in the two of us still dating. For one, it would look like I’m a sap for being cheated on right under my nose because the boy in the pictures with her was another close friend, someone we hung out with very often.

I assured her that I was not upset, and that there were no hard feelings, and we could go back to being friends. I thought that was the right approach, but apparently, it was the wrong thing to say to Lacey.

She became very irate at my unaffected attitude and screamed about how I never loved her. I assured her that I loved her as a friend and that, too, was the wrong thing to say.

She screamed some more and promised that I couldn’t break up with her no matter what I said. At the time, I thought she was crazy, but as I was to find out later, she knew what she was talking about.

When my parents heard about the breakup and the reason behind it, all they did was look at each other, but neither of them said it was okay, that we were young, and we’d find other people. Nothing, they just looked at each other and then away from me.

For the next few days, I was bombarded by Lacey. She’d gone full-on crazy, running me down at school to scream some more. When I told her I didn’t see what the big deal was since she already had someone else, she claimed she didn’t like our friend, and it was just the one time and all the other shit you’d expect to hear from a cheat.
After a year spent going along with the mistress's rules about her place or lack thereof in the affair baby's life, she had enough and called it quits on the relationship that she had foolishly thought could be salvaged. Now she's started a new life in a new town where she meets the man who would change her life forever.Thunder fell in love with Amanda when he first saw her two years before, but after learning that she was married, he thought there would never be a chance for them as he had no intentions of going after a married woman. So imagine his surprise when he walks into the new bakery in town to find that she's the new owner.Sparks fly when these two finally get together and the once broken woman finds that there can be life after betrayal.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

AMANDA

My husband betrayed me in the worst way possible, and I don’t think I will get over it. We’d been together since middle school. Of course, in the beginning, our relationship consisted of doing our homework together at my kitchen table, Saturday matinees with my older sister as chaperone and we were always there for each other’s birthday parties.

As we got older, it was a given that if you saw one of us, the other wasn’t too far behind. I’m a planner, and by the time we were fifteen, I’d had our whole lives mapped out. We would go to college together, get good-paying jobs in our chosen fields, get married, buy our first home before we turned thirty, and then settle down to have kids.

We were each other’s first at eighteen our first semester away at college because I wasn’t ready before then, not to mention my fear that my parents would somehow find out, which back then to me was mortifying.

Everything was on track. I got a job in finance while he became a professor, the way he’d always dreamed of. We knew it might take a while for him to become tenured, but with our academic record, we were both doing really well and were on the fast track to fulfilling our goals.

We got married at twenty-four, bought our first home at twenty-seven, and by then, with promotions and raises, our bank accounts were healthy and more than capable of supporting a family of three. And that’s where we met our first hiccup.

Three years after first trying for a baby, there was still no news in that department. I wasn’t too worried since, in my mind, these things take time, and there were no preexisting issues that would keep either of us from reproducing.

There was a lot of pressure from his mom, especially because she wanted a grandchild. I’m not sure what was wrong with the four she already had from his siblings, but I’d always suspected that my husband was her favorite, so obviously, a child from him would be somehow more special in her eyes.

After three years of trying and failing, we decided to see a specialist to find out what the issue was. Unbeknownst to me, my husband was very stressed by this because, as he put it, he was afraid that the fault was with him.

I had no idea that he was struggling with this because he never told me, and I was under the impression that we told each other everything. Well, in his misery, he found a shoulder to cry on. A twenty-two-year-old TA, who apparently did a lot more than listen to his woes.

As I guess you can imagine, she turned up pregnant. I’ve never known so much pain as the day he and his mother sat me down to tell me the news. I’d thought she was coming over to discuss that year’s family vacation because she’d sounded so excited on the phone, and I know how she gets about traveling.

I think I blanked out for the first few minutes after she asked me to sit down and broke the news to me. I remember looking at Dan and hoping he’d be wearing one of his stupid grins and saying something like Gotcha, but instead, he sat with his head hanging down, looking defeated.

“How…?” I couldn’t get the words out because there was a burning coal in my lungs, and my vision was blurry to boot.

“Now Amanda, don’t make a big deal out of this. Look at the bright side; you can’t have children, and now Dan will have one of his own blood.”

I looked at my mother-in-law as if she were some alien species that landed in my house and parked herself on my couch. Her words seemed so reasonable, except for the fact that they had just unilaterally destroyed my whole existence.

“Dan?”

“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry baby, you gotta believe me, I never meant for this to happen. She means nothing to me. I was just lonely, I guess, and scared.”

“What were you scared of?” Now, you’ve got to understand; at this point, I was still in shock. Not only that, but this was my best friend, the person I trusted more than anyone else on this earth, so, of course, I wanted to believe that he hadn’t just ripped my heart out of my chest for shits and giggles.

“I thought that I was the one who couldn’t… I didn’t want to disappoint you.”

“But now we know that it was you who had the problem.” His mom said with what sounded like glee in her tone.

“Get you, get out of my house.”

“This is my son’s house, too; you can’t just make him leave.”

“Mom…”

“No, she has to act like an adult sometime. The reality is there’s a child involved, my grandchild, so she’s going to have to buckle up and get with it or…”
