Canyon “Blitz” Madsen didn’t believe in mercy. When the Redline Kings MC secretary learned one of his prospects was an undercover fed, he planned to seduce the agent’s innocent younger sister as revenge. But he ultimately decided it was a line he wouldn’t cross.

Then he met Aubrey Cullen and knew leaving her alone wasn’t an option. One look at the sweet nanny, and Blitz was gone. Now caught between the secret that could destroy them and the fierce need to protect her, he’ll do anything to keep Aubrey safe—even working with the FBI brother he once wanted to destroy

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

BLITZ

Istepped out of Jax’s office—the tech genius for my MC—letting the heavy door swing shut behind me. I moved into the hallway and braced my shoulder against the wall, staring at the opposite one without really seeing it. A heavy tension had settled deep in my gut, like an anchor dragging me down. I knew this feeling. It was fucking betrayal.

The realization twisted into anger, confusion, and frustration. A prospect I’d brought into the fold, a man I’d called a friend and soon-to-be brother, was something else entirely. Tripp was something dangerous. And hidden.

As secretary for the club, I oversaw prospect development and evaluated whether they were truly Redline Kings material. Knowing I’d fucked up so spectacularly was like swallowing jagged glass.

Fuck!

I blew out a slow, measured breath and rubbed a hand roughly over my jaw, replaying it all back from the very beginning.

I’d met Tripp at an underground race months back. Our MC was built on and surrounded by the racing culture. Motorcycles, cars, legal races, and illegal ones—we had our hands in all of it.

Our president, Kane, was a world-renowned racer. Despite being big for a driver, he was known for his sharp reflexes and calm dominance. His body knew exactly how to handle any motorcycle or race car he drove without having to think about it. Then he won enough races to gain the capital to build his own racing teams and eventually tracks. Combining all of that with smart investments, he’d become a billionaire and a fucking giant in the industry—controlling the professional and underground racing world in the South the way the DeLuca crime family ruled New York.

Everyone knew not to fuck with Kane or his brother, Edge, our VP. And when they founded the Redline Kings, he hadn’t even been given a road name. He’d built his reputation as a fair but merciless, lethal motherfucker, so definitively that his real name became synonymous with fear and respect. When people heard “Kane,” they already knew who the hell it was.

Tripp had raced that first night, landing an impressive fourth place. Not dominant enough to trigger suspicion, but clearly talented. I’d come in second, finishing just behind Edge. Afterward, I’d approached the newcomer, teasing him good-naturedly about finishing fourth.

Tripp had taken the ribbing easily, flashing a quick grin and giving as good as he got. That night had started our friendship.

From then on, we’d hang out frequently after races, sharing drinks and jokes and forging a strong camaraderie. Soon, I started bringing him around the club socially and introducing him to the brothers. He’d fit in surprisingly well.

Eventually, I’d suggested prospecting. Kane told Jax to run a background check on him. Everything had checked out—family, old addresses, etc. His employment history had been thin, but he’d won enough races for us to assume he lived mostly off the purses he’d earned

Tripp had quickly earned the club’s trust. He was funny, laid back, and undeniably talented, but something about him had always seemed just slightly off. I’d attributed it to past trauma, sensing that Tripp carried some unseen weight that he didn’t share openly.

But as time passed, more subtle inconsistencies emerged.

Looking back now, the first time I should have noticed something was off was when we went to the gun range. We always took prospects to assess their ability with weapons so we knew who could be sent on certain runs, and if they were eligible for certain roles, like being an enforcer.

Tripp had obviously had weapons training, and when I inquired about it, he told me it was from learning to hunt with his dad. But that wouldn’t explain his expert marksmanship with handguns. And while Tripp’s dossier showed that he had a concealed weapons permit, he’d mentioned that he didn’t own a gun.

I noticed Tripp avoiding conversations about family and deflecting any questions that became too personal. He redirected attention quietly, carefully keeping the focus off himself. I initially chalked it up to private struggles, but now it seemed far more deliberate.

Then the federal raid had happened. A warehouse just outside Crossbend, sitting near a critical transport corridor used by the MC’s operations, had been busted wide fucking open. The feds discovered that it was a major hub for laundering, trafficking, and weapons operations.

The Redline Kings had zero ties to that warehouse or its activities, but it didn’t matter. The warehouse sat dangerously close to routes frequently traveled by the club’s vehicles—transport rigs, security teams, and race equipment.

In hindsight, it was obvious that federal surveillance had captured Kings-affiliated vehicles repeatedly moving through the area. The feds wouldn’t have realized it was coincidental—they would have begun building a case, theorizing a connection between the warehouse operations and Kane’s empire. It was exactly the kind of misunderstanding that could’ve done massive damage.

Except it didn’t.

Because just before the raid went down, Tripp had brought unusual activity to Kane’s attention—strange vehicles parked near the transport route, unfamiliar surveillance gear, and odd movements along the corridor. At the time, it seemed exactly what a loyal, observant prospect would do, eager to prove himself to the club. Kane had agreed it felt off and had promptly rerouted all Kings-related vehicles through alternate routes as a precaution.
As the man who kept the Redline Kings’ garage running smooth, Gauge fixed bikes and stayed out of trouble. Until Riley Mercer rolled into Crossbend. One look at the sassy beauty with car trouble, and Gauge knew she was his.
He gave Riley the job she desperately needed, but when he found out she was on the run from the law, Gauge didn’t fire her. He protected her. Now he’ll clear her name so he can claim the only woman who’s ever matched him under the hood

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

RILEY

When my mom warned me that my dedication to my job would be the death of me, she’d meant the hours I put in. Not what I stumbled across tonight. But I really wished we were close enough that I hadn’t shrugged off her concern because then maybe I wouldn’t have accidentally discovered physical inventory shortages on high-value performance parts.

Wondering what the heck was going on, I headed to my boss’s office. When I found his son there instead, I almost changed my mind about saying anything. Shawn wasn’t my favorite person at the garage, but Tim had been giving him more responsibility over the past few months.

I’d been irritated by that decision because Shawn didn’t take his job very seriously. He was kicked back in his dad’s chair like he already owned the place, scrolling on his phone.

He didn’t even bother to look up as he murmured, “What do you need?”

“For you to do your job,” I muttered.

His head jerked up, his eyes narrowing. “What the hell are you complaining about?”

I strode forward, stopping behind one of the chairs in front of the desk. “When your dad handled the inventory, there weren’t huge mistakes like this.”

His gaze zeroed in on the clipboard I was holding. “You shouldn’t poke around where you don’t belong.”

“I belong here more than you do,” I shot back. “Customers ask for me by name. I’ve been building bikes and tuning cars since I was eighteen. You just sign the checks your daddy gives you.”

His grin faltered, but that didn’t stop him from blustering. “You have no idea what the fuck you’re talking about.”

I dropped the paperwork onto the desk. “The wiring harness this shows for the Conrad job I did last week is wrong. Same with the dog-box transmission. The parts listed are half the cost of what I actually used.”

He shook his head. “You’re wrong.”

“Wrong?” I echoed, my eyes widening. “That’s not possible. I selected each part and installed it myself.”

Leaning back in his chair, he crossed his arms over his chest. “That’s not what the records show.”

“Only because you messed up.” A horrible possibility crossed my mind. “Please tell me you didn’t charge them for the cheaper parts listed. That’d mean we lost sixty thousand on the job instead of making a healthy profit.”

“That’s none of your damn business,” he growled. “You’re a performance technician. Focus on the cars. I’ll handle the rest.”

“Your dad—”

Slamming his hands on top of the desk, Shawn stood. “Leave my father out of this.”

“But he—”

“Won’t believe a word you say.” He flashed me a smug smile. “I’m his son. The one he trusts to run this place.”

“And you’re already proving he shouldn’t have if you’re making giant mistakes like this.”

“It’s a good thing you’re good with engines because you’re not as smart as you think you are.” Something ugly flashed in his eyes. “Go running to my dad, and you’ll find your name all over this shit.”

My head reared back. “What?”

“I’ve been planning for this, sweetheart. Paper trail’s already pointing straight at you. Parts signed out under your login. Deposits that look like you were skimming. Hell, I even made a couple of transfers from an account with your name on it.”

This was even worse than I’d thought. None of this was a mistake. Shawn was embezzling from his own father’s business. “You’re bluffing.”

“Am I?” He circled the desk. “You say one word to my old man or the cops, and you’re the one going down. I’ll make sure of it. And trust me—you really don’t want to get tangled up with the people I’ve been paying off with that money. Those guys don’t play nice. They make problems disappear. Permanently.”

The threat landed how he wanted. Racing shops attracted all kinds, and some of them had dangerous connections that went way beyond the track. “You’re a piece of crap, Shawn.”

He smirked. “Maybe. But I’m a piece of shit who’s covered his ass. Run along, Riley. Keep your mouth shut, and maybe I’ll let you keep your job. Or don’t. Either way, you’re fucked.”

I turned and walked out, my mind racing faster than any car on the dyno. I had one chance to get out before everything I’d built went up in flames. Heading straight to the bay next to mine, I plugged the USB drive I kept on my keychain for diagnostics into the workstation's computer. It was mainly used to look up OEM or aftermarket technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and parts specs. But there was access to other systems too, so I copied every suspicious file I could find and yanked the drive out before Shawn realized what I was doing.

My hands didn’t shake as I grabbed my best tools from my bay and some stuff from my locker. Then I slipped out the back door where my car waited in the employee lot. I popped the trunk and loaded everything inside. After a quick stop at my apartment, I hit the nearest ATM to pull out as much cash as I could. Even using the app to increase my daily withdrawal limit, I could only pull out a few thousand dollars, but it was enough to disappear for a little while.
Soren “Rev” Halvorsen never lost control. Then a terrified blonde crashed into his bike on a dark road, and the Redline Kings captain decided she was his.
After barely escaping a serial killer, Delaney Crosswell felt like the world was unsafe. Except for when she was in Rev’s arms. She knew that danger was a part of the motorcycle club, but the sexy biker quickly proved he’d burn the world down before letting anything touch her

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

DELANEY

Human hair was a fascinating historical textile, even if most people found it creepy. Earlier in my studies, it had taken some adjustment to get past being a little disturbed about working with a stranger's hair. Especially knowing they’d passed away. But now, I saw it as a historical material like silk or leather. And I was in awe of how artists had woven it into intricate designs, like the wreath on the antique Victorian mourning brooch I was restoring.

Adjusting the lamp, I was careful to keep my hands steady as I used compressed air to clean the microscopic debris from a crevice in the back. The piece needed to be properly cleaned before it could be restored, and I had to be careful not to introduce moisture that could seep past the gold and destroy the hair and foil-backed gems used as decoration. The reflective metal behind the jewels enhanced their brilliance but made cleaning more complicated.

The brooch was so delicate that I couldn’t afford to make a mistake. Nothing else existed for me until I finally finished the cleaning. Leaning back, I smiled, filled with the satisfaction of coaxing something broken back toward beauty.

I had been so lucky to get a coveted spot in the accelerated art conservation track. In large part because it offered the opportunity as a restoration apprentice with the museum and university preservation partnership. The lab was quite prestigious, so the competition was fierce.

I was thrilled I’d been chosen since this was where I felt most alive—bringing the past back to life, one careful stroke at a time.

My phone lit up on the corner of the worktable, the soft vibration pulling a smile from me as soon as I saw the name on the notification. I peeled off one glove and swiped the screen.

Mom

Still at the lab? It’s getting late. Dad is being grumpy about his deadline and asked me to remind you that even brilliant restorers need food.

I huffed a quiet laugh, my thumbs flying over the keyboard.

Me

Almost done cleaning the mourning brooch. I’m packing up soon.

Mom

That’s my girl. We’re so proud of you, honey.

I grinned at my screen.

Me

Thanks. Tell Dad I’ll be equally proud when he kicks his deadline’s butt.

Having a sci-fi author for a father had been interesting growing up. His schedule varied from being available to spend lots of time with me to disappearing into his office for weeks on end when he had a book due to his editor. Luckily, my mom’s hours at the library were very regular.

I got my love of books from them at an early age, which helped tremendously with my studies. And helped me snag my scholarship.

But it was the time I’d spent with the stacks of old books my mom let me “fix” as a kid that had really helped me discover my passion for preservation. Dad spinning wild stories about ancient artifacts and lost civilizations hadn’t hurt, either.

While other girls were out at parties, I was happiest with a pair of tweezers and something fragile that needed my patience. Even now, social events and academic mixers drained me, but the conservation lab was my happy place.

My mom sent me a laughing emoji, and I replied with a heart before setting the phone down again and reaching for my gloves. I’d just slipped the left one back on when the quiet scrape of a shoe behind me made me jump.

I spun on my stool, my pulse quickening.

Dr. Magnus Kinghorn stood just inside the doorway, his hands clasped behind his back, watching me with an unnerving stillness that people said came from being so brilliant. He wore his usual tailored jacket, silver threading through his dark hair, every inch the respected art historian.

I really hoped he hadn’t seen me on my phone. As the lead of the entire partnership between the museum and my university, the fate of my career was literally in his hands.

“Dr. Kinghorn.” I pressed a hand to my chest with a breathless laugh. “You startled me. I didn’t hear you come down.”

“My apologies, Delaney. I thought you might still be here.” He moved closer, stopping beside the worktable. His gaze dropped to the mourning brooch under the lamp. “How is our little Victorian lady progressing?”

I relaxed a fraction, happy to talk about the work and not me being on my cell phone. “The crack is almost ready for repair now. One more round of cleaning should do it.”

Using my gloved hand, I turned the piece so he could see better.

“Hmm.” He leaned in, studying the brooch with clinical appreciation. “Yes, I concur.”

I took a deep, satisfied breath. “Thank you.”

“Preservation is really just deciding what deserves to survive,” he murmured, almost to himself. “Some things should be kept exactly as they are before the world ruins them.”

I nodded, charmed despite the odd phrasing. “That’s beautiful. And exactly why I love this work. Giving broken things another chance.”
Ares “Tyre” Costa always kept perfect control…until the club’s cool-headed treasurer became obsessed with Cecily Hayes. But the sweet swimming instructor has Olympic dreams that may take her away from Crossbend.

Even with an outside crew trying to steal the Redline Kings’ underground racing territory, Tyre’s real battle was tearing down Cecily’s walls. She was terrified her dreams would force her to walk away, but he’s determined to claim his woman.

Thanks so much for signing up for an ARC of Cage. The book is now live on Amazon, so you're able to post your review there whenever you'd like

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

TYRE

My boots hit the concrete as I stepped outside of the clubhouse and walked toward the wrought iron fencing that protected the brand-new pool we’d built on the Redline Kings MC compound. As I stepped through the gate, the low murmur of brothers and their families mingled with the excited squeals of kids splashing in the sparkling water.

It seemed like a long time ago that this compound was all hard edges and grit. Then our president, Kane, met his old lady and life around here and took a drastic turn. Not for the worse, though. There was a kind of domestic joy our club had carved out of blood and sweat, and it always settled something deep inside my chest when I saw it.

Until my eyes landed on her.

I froze mid-step, every muscle going stone hard as my gaze zeroed in on the petite redhead standing at the edge of the pool. My entire world shifted abruptly, narrowed down to the woman wearing a sleek black one-piece swimsuit, her fiery hair tumbling in damp waves around her shoulders. Her skin glistened with water droplets, highlighting the sun-kissed freckles sprinkled across it.

She smiled gently down at Nitro’s—our sergeant at arms’s—daughter, Nella, carefully peeling off floaties from tiny arms. Her movements were easy, as though she'd spent her whole life in the water.

Fuck, she was beyond beautiful. Elegant and strong, every delicate movement a blend of grace and precision.

Her swimsuit hugged her body, the black fabric modest but highlighting curves I had no damn business noticing so intently. It hadn’t taken more than a moment to know this woman was too damn young for me. Yet there I was, unable to look away. Lust roared to life with sudden, relentless ferocity.

My hands fisted at my sides, possessive rage flaring hot and irrational in my gut. Several of my brothers stood nearby in swim trunks, oblivious to everything but fatherhood, laughing with their kids. Their eyes never strayed toward her, but the primal instinct in my blood didn’t give a fuck about logic or reason.

My jaw clenched so tightly it ached, the territorial hunger in me rising sharply as I watched the scene. I had the overwhelming urge to toss every single one of the men into the deep end, married or not. Not because they’d done a damn thing wrong—but because they might.

“Careful, brother.” Jax’s amused voice cut into my thoughts, his sudden presence snapping me out of the haze. “Looking like you’re ready to tear somebody’s throat out.”

“Who the fuck is she?” I grated, not bothering to hide the possessive growl in my tone. “The woman with Nella.”

If anyone knew about her, it would be Jax. The enforcer was a tech genius, and Kane didn’t let anyone within miles of the kids without them being thoroughly checked into. I was positive he’d have done her background check. Plus, Jax’s six-month-old daughter was one of the infants being taught.

Jax’s lips twitched with humor, but he wisely didn’t push too far. “That’s Cecily Hayes. She’s been doing swim lessons for club kids since Kylan was barely old enough to crawl. Grew up here, parents live in Crossbend. Been teaching swimming around here for years, when she was around. She’s an artistic swimmer, serious about the sport, too. Almost made it to the Olympics at the last games. Real sweet girl. Everyone loves her.”

I frowned, wondering how the hell I’d missed her. Though, to be fair, the kid thing wasn’t exactly my area.

“She’s been away a lot for training camps, and then the time she spent living in California to train. She probably wasn’t around often enough for you to notice.”

I shot him an annoyed glance, irritated that he’d basically read my mind. Which did nothing but cause his smirk to widen into a full-blown smile.

“She was too young for you then anyway. I think Lark mentioned that she just turned nineteen.”

My brow furrowed. “Didn’t you say she almost made the Olympics?”

That was damn impressive at only nineteen.

He nodded. “Prodigy.”

Fuck. I was too damn old for her. I would probably be a distraction from her training. And odds were good we had nothing in common.

But none of that logic cooled the raging possessiveness building in my chest. My eyes locked onto Cecily again, watching as she turned, smiling warmly at something Savannah said. Her laughter drifted toward me, the sound hitting me square in the gut like a fucking sledgehammer.

“Fuck it,” I growled under my breath, already stepping forward before my brain had fully caught up.

“Easy there, Romeo.” Jax clamped a hand on my shoulder, effectively stopping me in my tracks. “Kane needs you first. Gonna drag your ass inside before you scare the shit out of Cecily.”

I glared at him, but Jax just shook his head and gestured toward the clubhouse. “Won’t take long. She’ll be here when you’re done. Maybe let the homicidal gleam in your eyes cool down before you introduce yourself, though.”
When Hadley Rivers got injured at an underground race, Thayer “Cage” Duvall stepped in to treat her. One look at the scar hidden in her hair told the club’s doctor it was no childhood accident—someone had tried to erase who Hadley really was. Now he was determined to protect the beautiful politician’s daughter whether she wanted it or not.

Hadley had always felt trapped in her perfect life, until the intense biker who patched her up made her feel alive for the first time. But falling for Cage meant risking everything…especially when her family’s dark secret came out

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

HADLEY

Pressed close to the concrete barrier at Brake Point Run, the roar was unlike anything I had ever experienced. Engines screamed in the distance as drivers warmed up, the rumble vibrating straight through the soles of my sneakers and into my bones. I fiddled with the bulky ear protection Jana had shoved into my hands when I joined her down here.

“You’re gonna wear a hole in that thing if you keep twisting it like that,” Jana called over the noise. She was already suited up to race, looking every bit the badass I secretly wished I could be. “Here, let me fix it before you strangle yourself.”

I laughed as she stepped in and adjusted the straps with practiced fingers. “I swear I’m not usually this helpless. It’s just more chaotic than I expected, in the best way. Is it always like this? The place feels like one giant adrenaline shot.”

Jana snorted, giving the strap one last tug before stepping back. “Always, but it’s even better behind the wheel. Driving for Redline Precision is a thrill, but I love it when I get the chance to drive in an underground race.”

“Because you’re hell on wheels, sweetheart.” The big, tattooed biker she was married to wrapped his arm around Jana’s waist and brushed a kiss against her cheek before dipping his chin in my direction.

“Thanks for letting me come tonight, Nitro.”

“Just stick close,” he warned.

Jana nodded. “This side of racing isn’t what you’re used to. Most of the rules have been thrown out the window, so it’s pure speed and balls-to-the-wall chaos.”

I looked around us with wide eyes. “Yeah, I noticed.”

She tilted her head and studied me with a teasing glint in her eye. “You still good? Or are you about to bolt back to your fancy life and pretend you never met me?”

“No way.” I shook my head so fast my ponytail whipped my shoulder. “Are you kidding? This is incredible.”

“That’s my girl.” She poked my arm lightly. “You’re hooked, aren’t you?”

“Completely,” I admitted, my cheeks heating even as I grinned back at her. I leaned a little closer to the barrier, my eyes widening again as another driver revved his engine hard enough to make the ground tremble. “No one’s watching to see if my posture is perfect or if I said the right thing. I can just exist here. It’s the first time in forever that I don’t feel like I’m playing a part.”

“This world gets under your skin and stays there.” Jana’s expression softened before her smirk slid back into place. She pulled on her gloves, flexing her fingers inside the leather. “Stay back from the barrier unless you want your eardrums blown out, or worse.”

“Kick ass out there. I’ll keep an eye on your friend,” Nitro reassured her.

“Listen to your scary husband. I want to see you smoke every single one of them. And when you win, you have to let me buy you the greasiest victory burger I can find.”

“Deal.” She winked. “But only if you promise not to scream too loud when I fly past. Wouldn’t want to embarrass that pretty politician’s daughter vibe you’ve got going.”

“Hey, I left the pearls at home tonight.” I rolled my eyes, still smiling. “Go show them what real driving looks like.”

She gave me a playful salute before going up on her toes to kiss Nitro. Then she strode off toward her car, and I watched her go, feeling a wild thrill I’d never experienced before. For the first time in my life, I wasn’t just watching from the sidelines in a perfect dress and a practiced smile. I was right in the middle of the action. And I never wanted to leave.

As Jana disappeared into the lineup, I stayed right where I was. My eyes were fixed on the cars idling under the harsh lights. The engines kept revving in short bursts, each one sending another delicious shiver up my spine. I couldn’t stop the smile tugging at my lips. This place felt like freedom, and I didn’t need to quiet any part of myself to fit in.

It was the complete opposite of home, where everything was carefully orchestrated. My father built his entire world on image. Every public appearance, fundraiser, and family photo was staged like a campaign ad.
Ronan “Rebel” Blackwood had seen enough of his club brothers fall hard and fast to know Clara Winslet was his the second she crashed into him. The Hounds’ enforcer decided right then that the sassy woman was getting his patch.
Clara never expected Rebel to show up at her family farm night after night, locking the place down tight and stealing her heart in the process. But when danger creeps too close, Rebel will burn through anything standing between him and keeping Clara safe

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

REBEL

The Hounds of Hellfire MC clubhouse was filled with relief when we returned, the tension from earlier finally giving way to laughter and easy camaraderie. My muscles were still taut from the confrontation we’d just come from, my hands flexing instinctively as the adrenaline slowly faded. I stood slightly apart, observing quietly as my brothers spread through the space, each drawn toward their women like magnets, the embraces that followed unmistakably possessive.

The comfortable intimacy between the couples created a sense of envy in my chest. Not that I’d admit it out loud. It had been a damn long time since I’d let myself think about settling down or wanting someone that close.

Ace, our treasurer, moved immediately toward Poppy, his stride swift and purposeful. The intensity in his eyes told anyone watching exactly how much he needed to see her after what we’d just handled. We’d eliminated the threat against her, and I could only imagine his relief.

He caught her face in his big hands and kissed her deeply, unapologetic about his claim as he pulled her tight against him. Our president, King, approached them, a tiny lift at the corners of his mouth as he handed over the leather property vest he’d probably had for weeks. Ace had made it clear that Poppy was it for him right after they met.

Poppy’s eyes widened, her cheeks flushing with pure happiness as Ace settled the vest over her shoulders. It was impossible not to notice the way they looked at each other—raw, fiercely protective, and completely in love.

My gaze drifted slightly to the left, and every muscle in my body suddenly locked tight. Standing beside Poppy was a woman I’d never seen before, but in a single breath, she owned every ounce of my attention. A strange, possessive heat rolled through me as I took her in.

Thick chestnut hair was loosely braided and hung over one shoulder. The low lighting in the lounge was just bright enough to catch copper highlights threaded through the strands. She had the kind of curves that made my pulse spike hard. Her lush hips were wrapped in worn jeans that hugged her like they were made just for her. A simple flannel shirt was knotted loosely at her waist, accentuating those curves and drawing my attention exactly where it shouldn’t linger in public.

She wasn’t just beautiful, she was fucking captivating. Her skin was kissed by the sun, a delicate warmth that made my fingers itch to touch. She seemed completely unaware of my eyes tracking her every move. Her smile was bright and effortlessly radiant as she spoke with Poppy, her eyes dancing with animated laughter as she admired the newly presented vest. She had no idea I was watching, completely oblivious to the possessive heat coiling through me with every passing second.

The intensity of my reaction caught me completely off guard. As I watched her, that unexpected longing tightening my chest wasn’t envy anymore. It was something deeper, more primal—a fierce, instinctive recognition that she belonged to me.

She took a step back and bumped directly into my chest. Instinctively, my hands shot out to grip her arms, steadying her. Heat sparked through my fingertips at the contact, catching me off guard. When she spun around, those amber eyes met mine, wide and startled for a brief second before her full, pouty lips curved into a bright smile that sent another shock wave straight to my groin.

“Oops! Sorry about that.” Laughter bubbled beneath her voice as her gaze moved over me, curiosity and surprise clear in those mesmerizing eyes.

I managed a stiff nod, but words failed me. A brooding scowl tugged automatically at my features, masking the turmoil inside me. As my stare swept slowly over her face, the subtle flush on her cheeks, the curve of her neck, and those lush curves, I couldn’t hold back the muttered curse under my breath. “Fucking hell.”

Her smile faltered slightly, her brow furrowing in confusion as she turned back to Poppy and rolled her eyes in amused frustration. “I can’t imagine what it would be like to belong to one of these guys.”

Something possessive snapped inside me, instantly accepting what my body already knew—she was mine. Before I even realized what I was doing, the words were growling out of me, low and rough with irritation. “You’ll know soon enough.”

She whipped around to face me again, her hands landing firmly on those curvy hips, her chin lifting stubbornly as her brows rose. The defiance in her stance sent another hot rush of desire through me, nearly stealing my breath. “Pardon?”

I didn’t answer right away as my eyes held hers for a long, tense moment. I was acutely aware of Ace’s gaze on us, and the surprised silence that had fallen over the others nearby. But I was too caught up in this overwhelming certainty to care.
Colter “Ace” Maddigan didn’t gamble on anything he couldn’t control. Until a bubbly compliance assistant crashed into the grumpy biker’s world and rewrote the odds. Now the Hounds treasurer was all in.
Poppy Fairbanks always thought she was too much, but Ace acted like she’s exactly what was missing from his life. And when Poppy ended up in someone’s crosshairs, Ace was more than ready to show them how far he’d go to protect his woman

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

ACE

The rhythmic sound of my fingers flying across the keyboard was soothing. I leaned back slightly in my leather chair, my gaze fixed intently on the three screens arranged in front of me. The soft glow illuminated the scattered piles of paperwork that littered my heavy oak desk, each stack representing a prospective new member of the Hounds of Hellfire MC.

I paused to roll my shoulders, easing the stiffness from hours spent digging through every detail of the prospects’ financial histories. It was tedious but necessary. One of my roles as the club’s treasurer meant I wasn’t just responsible for our money but also ensuring every man we brought into our inner circle was financially clean, with no ties that could compromise our operations.

We’d always required background checks on anyone looking to prospect. But after we’d discovered a mole among them a couple of years ago, our president had our resident tech genius, Wizard, and me do deeper dives into each of them.

We were a family—not by blood but by choice. And whether or not we were single, we weren’t reckless bachelors living in a clubhouse circus. There were no club bunnies, no messy drama. This wasn’t a frat house; it was a home.

The club wasn’t always like this, though. More than two decades ago, the Hounds had a reputation for the patches being assholes with no respect for anyone and for crossing lines way past the gray zone. But shit had been cleaned up long before King patched, which was shortly before I prospected and earned my full rocker. When King became our president over seven years ago, I earned the office of treasurer and began building the financial backbone that enabled us to operate like a fortress.

Now, anyone hoping to patch had to earn our confidence before they could wear the colors. We had to know that we could entrust them with our lives and those of our families. Not to mention the details of our less-than-legal endeavors.

The Hounds of Hellfire MC could easily be seen as a group of outlaws, but we were far from the stereotypical chaotic biker gangs portrayed on TV. Sure, we operated outside conventional laws—leveraging connections, authority, and carefully placed donations to navigate around an imperfect legal system. But our brand of justice, which sometimes included violence, was precise and purposeful. Controlled until necessary. And even then, calculated rather than cruel.

Loyalty and honor weren’t just words stitched into our cuts—they were principles etched into the marrow of our bones. Any breach of the code, especially concerning women or children, was dealt with swiftly and permanently.

We had many legal businesses that kept the MC flush when combined with my wicked financial skills. However, our core business involved identity erasure and relocation—making people disappear into new lives. The operation was a good source of income, though in some cases we didn’t require payment. But those scenarios were closely guarded secrets to avoid having to deal with too many assholes with sob stories trying to get something for nothing.

Sighing, I reached for my coffee mug. The ceramic was cool against my fingertips, a disappointing reminder that it had gone untouched for far too long. The bitter taste lingered on my tongue as I took a sip and grimaced. Cold and stale—just like the rest of my fucking afternoon.

A soft ping echoed from the central monitor, and my attention snapped to the alert. A frown creased my forehead as I leaned in, my eyes scanning the series of tiny micro-probes hitting our shell companies. My gut tightened. It wasn’t theft since none of the transactions had attempted to move money, but the pattern was clear. Someone was testing our reaction times and mapping our financial perimeter.

“Son of a bitch,” I muttered, reaching up to run a hand through my hair. I traced the probe’s trail, quickly connecting it back to a regional compliance firm downtown. One of the few businesses in Riverstone not directly owned or managed by the club. The building was ours, but the company was a tenant. They had always seemed harmless enough. Apparently, not anymore.

My jaw tightened as I watched another micro-probe flicker across the screen, pinging lightly against one of our carefully shielded accounts. Not invasive. They were just testing our boundaries.

It pissed me off—like someone deliberately tapping their finger on glass, just to see if the thing behind it would react.

Honestly, the probe would most likely have been missed by anyone who wasn’t me. And it irritated me that they thought they could get this shit past me.

I’d earned my road name before I ever started handling the club’s finances.

As a prospect, I’d cleaned out plenty of the patched members in underground poker games without raising my pulse. I could count cards blindfolded, calculate odds mid-hand, and read betting patterns like spreadsheets.

Keegan “Tomcat” Connelly didn’t lose control. Not in the air or with women. As a fighter pilot and aerospace consultant, precision was his currency.
Linden Holbrook never meant to uncover anything dangerous. But while archiving old flight records, she found discrepancies tied to her brother’s deadly crash. Tomcat stepped in to protect Linden and fell for her faster than a jet breaking the sound barrier

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

TOMCAT

The tarmac stretched out in front of me, shimmering faintly under the relentless Georgia sun. The oppressive heat clung stubbornly to every surface. I stood beside a prototype jet, running my palm over its smooth composite surface, feeling for anything out of place. I’d been a consultant while the airplane was being designed. So I knew the curves and lines of this aircraft as intimately as my own hand, every panel and rivet burned into my memory.

Aviation was what I’d lived for since I was a kid. When it became clear that I was an accelerated learner and would graduate from high school at sixteen, my dad pressured me to fast-track my education and join the Navy. Rear Admiral (Ret.) James Connolly was highly decorated and very old-school. Luckily for him, it had been my plan all along.

I went to college and earned my bachelor’s in aerospace engineering before I turned eighteen. Then I joined the Navy, where I also earned my master’s and PhD.

My mind worked faster than most people’s, and the military gave me the structure to sharpen it into something lethal. I excelled in tactical planning and execution, high-risk operations and retrieval, and advanced weapons proficiency.

At twenty-five, I had been invited to attend the Navy Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor program, or Top Gun, as it was more commonly known.

The combination of my education and experience gave me the skills to become more than just a pilot. I was a problem solver. Eventually, I started contributing to the design and testing of multiple aircraft platforms. When I left the Navy ten years later, I didn’t leave the sky behind—because nothing else gave me the same clarity. I brought my skills somewhere I thought loyalty mattered more than rank. As a civilian contractor, I consulted on aircraft design and served as a test pilot for experimental aircraft.

This jet was a prototype for the classified defense contractor, Aegis Aerospace Systems. It was a sleek machine with cutting-edge stealth tech, custom-built for precision maneuvers and experimental weapons systems. It had become my responsibility to know her better than anyone else. But as my fingers moved along the cool metal, something tugged at the edge of my awareness, drawing my attention across the tarmac toward something far softer and far more captivating than a machine could ever be.

A woman was walking along the edge of the flight line, careful to stay out of the designated safety zone and following the rules to the letter. Her steps were measured, almost cautious, like someone who didn’t want to be noticed. But it wasn’t working.

She stood out, not just because of the way her honey-brown hair caught the light or the bright flats she wore. She looked entirely out of place in an environment built for unforgiving machinery.

My gaze tracked her automatically, cataloging details as she approached the hangar-side admin building. Her long hair was loose around her shoulders, glinting like polished amber in the sun. Her pale, pretty face was dusted with freckles across a delicate nose and cheekbones. She surveyed her surroundings with careful curiosity, and her bright green eyes widened slightly.

I’d been around women my whole adult life, seen beautiful ones more times than I could count. But none had ever made my pulse spike the way this one did. Her curves were lush, her soft hips rounded beneath a simple cardigan and jeans. She just needed a pair of glasses, and she’d put the sexy librarian cliché to shame. My body tightened involuntarily, my cock thickening and pressing uncomfortably against the front of my flight suit.

What the fuck?

I had a reputation for control and discipline that made pilots and operators uneasy in my presence. I had no other choice. One moment of distraction—a single slip-up or missed detail—could be the difference between life and death.

My mind and body obeyed me without question—until now. Here I was, watching this woman cross the airfield, and suddenly, every muscle in my body was on high alert. I had no right to feel protective of her. No reason to feel possessive over a woman I didn’t even know. Yet I did.

She paused at the edge of the marked path, clutching a folder to her chest as she stared at my plane with awe. It was ridiculous, but I felt a little burst of pride at the way she was admiring my new bird.

As she stepped forward, the toe of her bright shoe snagged on a chock line stretched across her path. My heart jumped in my chest as she pitched forward, her eyes widening, the folder flying from her hand.

I moved without thought, crossing the space faster than I realized I could. My arms came around her just before she hit the concrete, her body pressed tight against mine. A small sound left her lips, breathless and startled. The scent of her filled my senses— something soft, floral, and faintly sweet.
Lucas “Kevlar” Knox was built to take the hits so others didn’t have to. As the Hounds of Hellfire’s SGT at Arms, his focus was keeping danger where it belonged—far away from his club and civilians in their territory. Like Maren Whitlock.

Maren’s life was simple until one shift at the diner made her unforgettable to the wrong people. Drawn to his quiet authority, she found comfort in Kevlar’s protection. Once he decided Maren was his, nothing could touch her

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

MAREN

“Have a good night,” Jerry, one of my regular customers, called as he walked toward the door.

I beamed a smile at him. “You too.”

I enjoyed my last job as a hostess, but I was so glad I took this new one as a server at The Fuel & Flame Diner. Tips were a big boost to my income, and I really liked the late-night shifts. They were slower but paid well because my customers appreciated that we were still open.

One of the other servers had told me during my first week that the only better shift was weekend breakfast. Pure chaos, but worth it. You earned more, but you also busted your butt for it from what she’d said. After a month of experience, I still didn’t feel ready to juggle so many tables at once while under pressure to turn them over quickly.

“Order up!”

I changed direction to grab a plate from the pass-through window. “Thanks, Mark.”

The dinner rush had thinned out hours ago, leaving only a handful of occupied booths. I headed toward the one in my section. “Here’s your short stack with a side of bacon. Extra butter and syrup.”

“Thanks.”

I snagged the coffee from behind the counter and moved between tables on autopilot, refilling an empty cup. Then I started a fresh pot and wiped my hands on my apron, glancing at the clock above the pass-through. Still a couple of hours until my shift ended.

I leaned against the counter for a moment while the coffee brewed, and my mind drifted the way it always did when things slowed down. I tried to guess how much I’d make tonight, thought about the chores I needed to do at home, and wondered whether I’d finally pick a direction soon. Maybe community college, or I could start putting some of my tips in a jar to save for a vacation since I’d always wanted to travel.

I didn’t mind that my life was simple. Work, home, sleep. Repeat. There was something grounding about the rhythm my life had settled into. But I still found myself hoping for a little excitement from time to time.

The bell above the door chimed, pulling me out of my thoughts. I glanced up automatically, reaching for the menus as they stepped inside.

“Welcome to The Fuel & Flame Diner.”

The four men didn’t return my greeting, not even with the casual chin lift most guys managed. They just stepped inside and let the door swing shut behind them.

Nothing about them stood out. They wore clothes that didn’t draw the eye, paired with black boots.

I added, “Sit wherever you like.”

They finally nodded and started toward the booths along the windows, taking the one nearest the door, which was in my section.

A four-top was good for tips, so I headed straight over with the menus. Dropping them on the table, I smoothed my apron and smiled. “Hi, I’m Maren. I’ll be taking care of you tonight. Can I get you something to drink?”

The man closest to me looked up and muttered, “Just water.”

After getting three grunts in agreement, I murmured, “Will do,” and stepped away.

They weren’t the friendliest group of guys, but I’d had plenty of grumpy customers who appreciated my sunny nature by the time they finished their meal. So I put some extra pep in my step as I brought their waters back to the table.

“There you go.” I fixed my smile in place as I pulled the notebook and pen out of my apron. “What can I get y’all to eat?”

The same guy ordered for them all again. “Four double cheeseburgers. The works, with fries.”

“Great choice. Our burgers are the best thing on the menu.” I tucked away my order pad since that was easy to remember. “The only way to make it better is to add cheese sauce for the fries.”

“Sure, four of those too,” he agreed.

I amped up the wattage on my smile. “I’ll bring your order out as soon as it’s ready.”

Whirling around, I headed toward the pass-through window. “Four double cheeseburgers with the works, fries, and cheese sauce on the side, please.”

“Got it. I’ll get that right up for you.”

“Thanks, Mark.”

I dropped the check off at my only other table and swiped their card at the register after they handed it to me. By the time they left, Mark let me know the burgers were ready.

Balancing the plates, two in each hand, I headed toward the booth. I was careful as I set them down, sliding them in front of each of the men. “Here you go. Let me know if you need any condiments other than the ketchup, mustard, and hot sauce already on the table.”

“Mayonnaise,” one of the men requested.

“Be right back with that.”

I went back to the pass-through window. “Can I get a side of mayonnaise, please?”

“Sure thing.”

He scooped some into a ramekin and slid it across to me.
Reeve “Onyx” Pierce spoke through ink, not words. As the quiet force behind Hellbound Studio, he’d built a reputation on blackwork that didn’t fade and loyalty that didn’t bend. He’d never wanted anything that wasn’t worth keeping forever.
Elena Dane was young, brilliant, and gifted in ways she didn’t yet understand, but she trusted the wrong man. Onyx saw the threat immediately, and once he decided Elena was his to protect, there was no undoing the claim

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

ELENA

Even from outside, I could hear the faint buzz of tattoo machines layered beneath low voices and music. I paused on the sidewalk longer than necessary, my sketch portfolio tucked against my chest.

Hellbound Studio wasn’t a walk-in shop. The Hounds of Hellfire MC owned it. Actually, they owned most of Riverstone, GA, where I currently lived.

They didn’t advertise for customers because they didn’t need to. The chairs were never empty. And open spots for artists were filled by word of mouth. I was beyond lucky to have met Ink and Annika DeLuca at a showing at Belladonna Gallery, the largest art gallery in Atlanta. The art hadn’t been a style I enjoyed much. Abstract expressionism that relied on chaos without order beneath it all had never been my thing. But striking up a conversation with Ink and his wife had made the time spent there more than worthwhile.

It had taken all of my courage to mention that I was interested in an apprenticeship at a tattoo parlor, much to my mentor’s chagrin. Jareth Marks was a huge deal in the Atlanta art scene, but while he was interested in tattoos, he had no experience with them himself. My only option for getting the kind of expert guidance I needed was to look elsewhere. And Hellbound Studio was the best place to learn. Plus, it didn’t hurt that my apartment was in Riverstone, where they were located.

“You can do this,” I mumbled, my stomach fluttering with nerves.

I’d wanted this for too long to let fear win now, so I pasted on a confident smile I wasn’t feeling as I pushed the door open. I stepped into a world that fascinated me and found Ink waiting at the reception area.

He looked up the moment I stepped inside and chuckled. “Do you carry that sketchbook with you everywhere?”

Heat crept up my neck. “I—yeah. Pretty much.”

I shifted my grip, suddenly hyperaware of how out of place it must have looked at the exhibition at Belladonna Gallery. My parents would’ve hated that I’d brought it there. They’d always believed in dressing appropriately for every occasion, and a worn sketchbook didn’t fit their idea of respectable. They’d actually been supportive of my passion for art in the beginning, until I took it in a direction they didn’t approve of. No matter how intricate and beautiful, a daughter who was a tattoo artist would never fit with their image. So their disappointment wasn’t exactly new.

My mentor, Jareth, at least, had understood why I liked having my sketchbook close. Inspiration didn’t wait for convenient moments. And even with a memory that never failed me, I still preferred to get ideas down while they were fresh.

“I guess it paid off, though.” My smile was self-conscious. “I wouldn’t be here if I hadn’t had it with me that night.”

He snorted. “You’re here because your art is fucking unreal. That sketchbook just made it obvious.”

“Thanks.” My blush deepened. “That means a lot coming from you.”

“Not sure why you look so surprised. You already earned your spot in that program you’re in.” He gestured around the studio. “This is just the next step if you want to take your art to the next level.”

I wasn’t sure how to respond. Compliments still caught me off guard. Teachers had noticed my talent early, but no one ever quite knew what to do with it. Or how to explain it to my parents. They’d understood why I’d chosen a specialized art program over a traditional college, but transitioning to the human body as a canvas baffled them completely. It was putting a strain on our relationship that I wasn’t sure how to bridge.

“I definitely am.”

He stepped out from behind the counter, gesturing for me to follow. “Good. You wouldn’t last here long if you weren’t.”

As we walked, I took everything in. The steady buzz of machines blended into a rhythm that felt almost meditative. Sessions were done behind closed doors to maintain client privacy, but Ink opened a few so I could meet some of the artists.

The first guy barely glanced up from his station but offered a quick nod. The next grinned like he meant it. With Ink showing me around, no one questioned whether I belonged. The interactions were brief but easy. And somewhere along the way, the tightness in my shoulders eased.

We stopped near one of the open booths, and Ink turned back to me. “I want to evaluate your skill level on fake skin first. Get a sense of where you need improvement and techniques you haven’t learned. When I’m confident you can handle a giant, grumpy-ass biker, you’ll work on a client with supervision. Even after you're on your own, if you run into a stumbling block or they request something you don’t know how to do, no one will mind if you ask for help. We all want you to succeed.” He shot me a crooked smile. “We have a badass reputation to uphold.”
